This is something many have wanted for a long time and not just for SoT. Thanks!

Definitely worth a test run, but, if implemented correctly a welcome fix. Thanks in advance Dev Team.

Should still need a majority, not only 2 people to kick someone.

Vote kicking is only slightly less broken than Leader Decides kicking. All this really means is you need 3 buddies in on it (at the most) instead of doing it on your own. It's still a problem.

    1) No vote should be able to be initiated if any member of the party is in combat.
    2) No vote should be able to be initiated once the DD boss is dead.

This will not solve the SoT problem since the Shores ring drops in the middle of the skirm not at the end, but this would resolve the vast majority of the kick abuse.

I agree it's a step in the right direction. But until it requires THREE kick votes it's nowhere near as feasible as it should be. (Meaning one initiates the vote and at least TWO others vote 'yes'.)

agree here, it'll still get abused. Most people just vote yes without reading because they can't do anything and are likely dieing. That also goes with thinking as most people (myself included). We are trying to kill the mobs, someone putting a vote in the middle of combat or just as its about to end really makes people vote without logic - like hey if i vote yes then there is nothing against them kicking me to, but i need to vote fast because you know dieing... while...can't...do anything about it due to this vote...

+1. Should be a "party" decision.

I think it's worse. At least if I got the lead I knew I couldn't be kicked, and if I didn't have the lead and got kicked I know who it was who kicked me and could report them (even though it does no good). Now people can just spam vote kicks all over the place after the boss is killed so they can get the loot just like in dungeons. So I can get kicked from everything now, even pvp.

Yeah, basically this just means that if you get in a PUG and more than one person has the same guild name, you might as well just leave at the start.

I'm pretty sure I could give you a list of guilds that wouldn't actually do that, but we all get lumped in the same way.

Find some guilds. Being a pug is an awful existence. Be their friends :)

Sadly, this game encourages solo-guilds far too much to be economically feasible for most players to give up all that solo-guild bank space.

I got my own guild and friends to run dungeons with. Yes, abuse is still possible, no I want to be able to kick needers in greedruns, so there has to be a possibility to kick. Lets agree to disagree.

That's terrible really. There is nothing worse than vote kicking everyone during instance all the time. Not for me for sure.

    PuG
Pickup Group; used commonly in WoW and other MMORPGs. Basically means a group that isn't formed by people you know; instead, it's formed up of random, possible noobs that will completely wreck whatever experience you are getting the group for.

    you do this??

PUG -- really means "Pick up game" meaning, you turn out to the court and pick up a team to play some basketball against some other team made up of whoever happened to show up that day. Common in gyms and urban outdoor basketball courts -- and football/soccer fields -- the world over.... Anyway, I digress...

If you pug, expect to be screwed over by people, it's just the way it goes since Cryptic seems unable, or unwilling, to provide a mechanism that a fair environment. If you don't like that risk, join a guild and run with people you know. It's really as simple as that.

Safe to leave your door unlocked? Safe to get into a car with a stranger? I think not.

PUGs will always be a random nightmare waiting to happen.
