Black Ice Orb, purified or corrupted need help deciding

I got a black ice orb from Beholder and now I need to decide on purified or corrupted. I'm going to go with the purified armor set for PVP. Any advice from those that have use the orb, which would be better? I'm assuming I'd do the same with the taliasman.

My gut tells me go purified, all purified. I'm also working on an HV set, got 3 of 4 pieces. I normally run around with the HV set, but my plan is to use the purified BI armor set for pvp. Just not sure what to do with the orb.

My current orb is Orb of the Thayan Zealot which I think is pretty newbie. I know others have way better orbs so BI orb isn't best, but for me, it's best I have and can equip so need advice.

My play style is whatevers. Sure, I tend to like to stay away, but if the need arises, I'll tank and fight close ranged as well.

Any advice or tips to think about as I decide on purified or corrupt orb is greatly appreciated! Can't find any good discussions on this topic.

    While I use a Corrupt weapon set on my PvE CW for now, I would expect the Purified set to perform better in a PvP setting, because it has hitpoints, regen, and the proc is a guaranteed self-heal rather than damage dealt at random (both have the same internal cooldown).

    Thanks Becky for the quick reply. Funny how you never think about this sort of stuff then all of a sudden something drops unexpectedly and you want to make a decision quick. So one vote for purified!

    Oh, the other option is I've been doing draconic so got a lot of those symbols. So I can also get a draconic orb and tali as another option for maybe pve if need until I can upgrade if the purified set isn't a good pve orb.

    Use Purified all the way until you can get a legendary weapon. Then you will want the Gelid orb to boost RoF.

    The only use for that orb once you get the lengendary orb is to enter kessell's retreat.

    In other words, your pick matters VERY little.

    more points to all purified... since it will also unlock a title... not that it matters tho, performance wise
