Bind on Pickup - Tooltip Display needs Adjusting

. . . Currently, we now have two types of "Bind on Pickup" items. One binds to the character and the other to the account upon pickup (acquire). The problem is that both say the same thing, "Bind on Pickup" with no regard to whether it binds to the character or the account.

. . . A great example of the confusion this causes can be seen by looking at the items in the Anniversary list. The Companion and Cloaks all bind to the Character while most everything else binds to the Account. While I (and I am sure many others) are thrilled at the continued creation of Account Bound items, we would love to be able to tell which ones they are. :)

Thank you for your time!

Xvim say BoE but become BoA after equipped. Grey text in the end of description don't help, being a exception needs to be much more evident. Plus a windows pop-up everytime you try to equip again..

And if you read the entire tooltip, it tells you this.

One correction to Zebular's post (I totally agree that this tooltip improvement is needed) is that the garden keys are account-bound (though single-use, once the garden locks down to consume them). I believe people have said the cloaks are too but haven't obtained one to see for myself. That's why I thought the only item bought with figurines in the Jubilee event that is character-bound rather than account-bound is the companion.

Bind on Pickup can stay the way it is, the new one should be "Bind on Account" (or something like it) and Bind on Equip can stay the way it is. To my calculation "Account" and "Pickup" and "Equip" come close enough in character counts and word length to fit relatively easily within existing dialog widgets.

The only question then is in the underlying system that determines the binding type of an item based on however it's tagged internally (Meaning they might have to write the extra code for the new type and so on).

However: I fully concur with the OP: We need the third type for identification purposes pre-sale-wise.

Edit to add in reference to BeckyLunatic's post: *I* Never knew that. L. O. L. of the most high. :)

Yeah, I think Bind on Account would typically imply "on pickup". Short and sweet and to the point.

If there are to be future items like the Xvim set (BoAoE) then I think sticking with a more in-depth explanation in the tooltip text is the way to go, just like they did with the Xvim set. There's not much to be done for people who aren't going to read the entire description anyway.

The bear tribe transmutables from getting 60 trophies in IWD PVP are also a bit confusing. I have a Bear Tribe Orb which in the shop says bind on pickup, but in my inventory says bind to account, but I can't put it into my shared bank slots nor can I mail it to myself...
