Mousepad, I know you misread in good faith because you know how the skill really works: can you imagine he actually said that a TW covers ALL the node? Because the % was about the uptime, not a node.
Thorn Ward, as has been stated is WAI. Its such a situational aoe that its too funny to call it op. Is steal time op because it stuns everyone in its radius? Is path of the blade op because it also damages all in its radius(it ALSO hits everyone, not just one person/mob btw)? Is Arcane Singularity op because of its HUGE aoe size? Is Terrifying Impact op because its distance(not width though) is too long? Is Hallowed Ground op because of ITS size? Is astral shield op because it buffs and heals(divinity) EVERYONE in its aoe?
If Thorn Ward is op, then by all rights the rest of these abilities should ALSO be declared op. Their aoe sizes are in many cases either more potent and/or even bigger in some cases.
Are people who don't learn to work around an ability really going to constantly whine until something effective against them isn't anymore? I play every class, and have problems facing every class. Should I really be able to ask to nerf EVERY CLASSES' ABILITIES TO NOTHING? No. Ive learned to play since open beta, and worked around every ability ive come across in PvP and PvE.
Really guys... man up for once, and learn to play, or at least make balance suggestions... Stop the constant nerf whines! They get old pretty fast.
I hear "learn to play" all the time, but it seems to me that it should be defined as "my class is balanced, except when others beat it, then THAT class is OP"...
HR class is a dps class... when u ask for the nerf of split shot (the real nerf is around 50%)... the HR AOE capabilies was destroyed (and also the dmg 1 vs 1) and tornward buff replace part of AOE dps of the old splitshot.
Stop calls for stupid nerfs... is a trade off (nerf TW and bring back the old spiltshot or vice versa).
When there was the old split shot I was always 1-3 as overall damage (so there was classes with bigger or equal AOE output)... now if I use splitshot Im in the 3-5 places.

Thorn ward is a problem when it takes up pretty much all of the point and high end hrs are completely unkillable. If it wouldn't be possible to be so tanky, it wouldn't really be an issue.

It's actually the opposite in most situations, the HR has the potential to kill a CW, every, time. an average GWF has even more potential, GF need to work a bit harder but they have there fairly obvious advantages. TR's need to be good, and DC's can tank for days if they know what their doing.
HR/GWF are probably the easiest classes to use vs a CW, although not everyone knows what to do when fighting, while most PvP CWs are always whacked on so they know exactly what to do

That would make thorn ward useless.
Thorn Ward is working as intended. Nothing else in the game is so obviously designed for node-denial.
Set-bonus is getting nerfed, then you'll actually be able to kill BIS HRs. Dead HR = no more thorn ward.
