Why are the old gift of tymora contents are replaced with new gift of tymora contents

I had some gift of tymoras laying around from the last event and there contents have been replaced by the new gift box contents that came out today. This is a huge difference in loot. Can someone explain why they have been changed or if it's bugged? Thanks

Because there is only one item called "Gift of Tymora" and they made an internal change to the loot table.

To preserve the old boxes, they'd have had to introduce the new gifts as a different item with a separate loot table, which can be done, but I personally don't see why they'd have bothered for an event item.

See the update to Coffer of Wondrous Augmentation for an example. When the change was originally in testing, old coffers were switched to the new type for a brief time. This did not go live, so there were two types of coffers, old (unbound) and new (account-bound).
