Brutal enchantment - broken?

28 attempts to make R7 brutal enchantment from R6. 30% chance. I have never had anything like that from open beta.
M6 almost drains your soul given how boring it is. (c) joocycuzzzzzz

    Is any of the stuff you're using in your overflow bag, perchance? That'll automatically cause upgrades to fail.

    No, I upgraded some radiants before this, all from 6 to 7, all took 2-5 tries. I did character change, exited and reentered the game, unslotted the enchantment... I did something like that after each 7-10 consecutive fails. This is my first experience upgrading this kind of enchantment, and if this is just an accident and a case of "you had a bad luck man", well, to say I'm disappointed is like saying nothing.

    I upgraded mine from 6 to 7. Took 3 tries (2 failed, 3rd succeeded).

    Very very bad luck i guess...

    OTOH I actually succeeded in the 1% chance upgrade from R7 to R8 with a Dark enchantment. Just slapped on a Preservation ward, and thought "Meh, *** it." and pressed the upgrade button and bam. It worked.

    Sometime luck just does that to ya;

    Upgrade from R7 to R8 has a 25% chance of success. The only upgrades with 1% of chance are weapon/armor enhancements, not enchantments.

    The RNG is very unkind sometimes in Neverwinter. I have had 5 or 6 failures at 60% a few times, had a mate that failed 20 times at 40% before succeeding. One of the areas that could use a slight revision.

    Most definitely unkind RNG. I have made 2 rank 8 Brutals without an issue.

    Hooray for terrible fail rates!

    Fail rates are how most F2P MMOs make their money. (I'm lookin' at you, Runes of Magic)
