What ever happened to the Dungeon Delve key?

calvin1tagcalvin1tag Member Posts: 322 Arc User
This seems to have gone off the radar? It was on the preview shard for awhile and I think it was a fantastic idea that should be implemented (the sooner the better!)

Is this still planned to be introduced into the game for the next module update?

Thanks

I had forgotten about this. I remember the support for this was rather enthusiastic when first proposed. Anyone heard where it stands?

They removed the keys because they wasn't right implemented(no function and such) to avoid spam/bull**** posts of useless dev work and so on...
The last statement was, that they went back if they are ready.

If a were a conspiracy theorist I'd say they removed them to lower the chances of getting blue marks by not giving players more reasons to run dungeons more often outside of the DD event.....but that's just crazy talk....isn't it?

the keys were simply not ready for release at the time they appeared on the preview shard and they may never make it out of development. it'd be great if they did, but everything in this game is subject to change whether it be on the live shard or the preview shard.

They weren't even supposed to show up in the first place, and were on the preview server by accident.

It is an obviously good idea. PvE is mostly dead outside of DDs due to the current design. Moreover, if you miss the DD slot that is near your play time (most of us can only play a few hours per evening), then you just do dailies and log off- assuming you don't enjoy PvP... there are only so many alts that you want to buy stones for :)

So yes, it's a brilliant idea, and needs to happen sooner rather than later.

As this idea is currently still in the works and has recently been tested on Mimic, I'd like to shed some more light on it.

I personally lobe the idea and think it's awesome and serious PvEers like myself would jump on it.

I Gus's the concern is that's players could gear up too fast, spend less time in game, and then spend, less money, but that's just a theory.
    Anyway, please bring these back!

I haven't logged onto the preview server in awhile - are they still on that server or have they been pulled? Is there anyone from the Dev team that could give us an update please?

    Thanks

They were pulled ages ago, possibly while Module 2 was still being tested.

I am under the impression that they weren't really meant to be in the shop at all for the time they were up, and that it was a mistake that we saw them to begin with.

(Which is not to say they won't be implemented eventually, just that it's not on the slate for an immediate addition.)

I really think the Key needs to come back, someone hinted at this game being dead if its not the right "time" to do things and thats exactly what I have felt.

Perfect example: I logged last night and felt like playing GG PvP with some guildies, but I had mis-timed when I would get home and showed up halfway through the GG Dungeon portion. The next GG wasnt for hours so I played 1 pvp match and went back to the PTR to mess around and ended up logging about 15 min after.

It really kills the motivation to log on when there is such a small chance the even you want to run is going on. They need to give players ways to do those events outside of the time of day, and it either costs them more OR they have slightly less incetive to do so outside of the hour.

For DD the key idea is perfect. Honestly Id make each key cost something like 8k AD which is easily covered in most cases by the loot you get either in the dungeon OR in the chest. I know when I was farming MC for my OH this was a BIG issue in trying to find parties... Noone wanted to run outside of DD.

For GG I proposed allowing people to Que for PVP portion ANYTIME for JUST coins/glory. And then during the event you can do the first "phase" for the token, Q for GG during the armories event and get the token there and then que for crypts or w.e after that. So people have more options to do what they want when they want.

I married with young children so for me to set aside the necessary hour or so to play on the "Games' schedule just isn't feasible for me about 95% of the time sadly. I pretty much need the key to happen or my DD's are just something I get to think about and hope to play sadly....
