I want to bring this back to the point,

With 67 votes and 42 of them would rather have foundry pvp... I really think the DEVs should be made aware if they arent that this is something the players are very interested in.

I know they are working on foundry tools, but just give us what is available now....

Honestly, I played with foundry the other day for the second time and SO many of the maps would make pretty decent game maps.

Again, all you need for foundry pvp:

    1) Node Placement - easily able to put this in foundry
    2) Spawn placement - already there
    3) Maps - already there
    4) A "random que" button to que for any map, or a specific "map que" for each map.

    Thats the BASICS.

THEN you can create better matchmaking, more pvp games, maps etc but this will allow the players to be appeased for a LONG time.

The first people to bring up Foundry PvP was the Devs, not the players. :p

But I'll go for option 4. Neither. ;)

I voted for option number two, because players are able to create PvP content faster than the actual NW devs. How long has the game been out now? PvP still feels like beta gameplay and i really hope the developers are going to focus a bit more on it, once module 2 is finally done and out.

Preferably, the devs should give us an option, to disable mounts. Mounts in PvP is the worst feature the game has to offer, due to the maps being tiny as hell, unlike in other games where the maps are twenty times as large...

Let's just pray, that other PvP types than the oh so boring - dominaton (gank anybody?) such as 1on1 and duelling will make their way into the game aswell.

    Take care.

THis is exactly my point. They have said they want to do this, its been what, 8 months since then? And they have not even discussed this again to my knowledge...

This is a major area they are dropping the ball, and I cant tell you how many players I have talked to in the last few months who have played for many months, and quit because of issues just like this.

There just isnt much for a veteran player to do anymore. Even module 2 isnt a fix, its a bandaid. Which is great for some.

But the reality is, the game currently is good at getting players to DL, lvl and play the game. But when it comes to KEEPING players long term, that is a major area we are failing at right now, primarily I believe because of lack of pvp.

The PVE community is great at farming PVE dungeons and there has been a ton said about that, this discussion is for the PVPers where AV has announced officially twice that I am aware of that they are looking at more pvp content.

This thread is pointed towards that and hopefully they well see more players want foundry pvp than cryptic pvp.

So instead of working on cryptic made pvp, maybe they can listen to the players and give us what we want in the meantime... Again I outlined the little work it would take to do above.

    75 total votes...

a large majority would rather have foundry pvp.

I really hope if the DEVs see this, they would take the resources they were planning on (admittedly by AV in the interviews and past forums posts) using for future PVP expansions and put them to work making Foundry PVP possible.

Not only would this resurrect a large player base, but it would provide countless hours of pvp fun and creative fun in the foundry.

I have only dabbled in foundry because I just dont see the points as of right now, but you can bet if they did this, I would make in foundry ALL the time, either playing pvp maps or making my own....

as for the future addition of the ability to re-roll initial ability stats, is it too early to say whether this will just be an add-on to the respec token or will this be along the lines of a resurrection token to follow d&d lore and how initial ability stats are re-rolled?

I can't really say for sure. It's an honest "We want to do this" feature, but I can't make any promises as to how, when, or if it actually ends up happening.

here's an example of an idea in development with an honest response. what is viable or has more priority takes precedence.

Yeah so what im asking is why havnt they mentioned anything new about foundry pvp at all?

Even the above responses them saying "we want to do this, just not sure when" or another comment.

They announced that it wont happen come live, when it was still in closed beta stages and now the game has been live and no discussion about it.

The facts are that NW is having an issue keeping the pvp crowd happy and as such many friends I know that are/were pvpers have stopped logging in.

I would imagine they dont want that happening and want to know how to prevent that.

This thread IS the answer, foundry pvp as I showed earlier is a simple and easy to implement solution that solves a major problem.

I really hope the DEVs become aware (if not already) to this entire issue and atleast make some announcement about it.

I am guessing AV will have another interview coming post mod 2 release within a week or two about the release and it would be VERY wise of them to mention something about pvp.

I have also seen DEVs frequent forums and saw a response a long while back about pvp content would not be coming until post Mod 2 at the earliest.

All that meaning they are hopefully and probably NOW looking at avenues to explore once Mod 2 goes live.

Devs, if you see this. Dont waste time with cryptic pvp content, just give us the tools to make our own and ALOT of ppl will be happy.

That and a rank system will go a LONG way.
