1st thing i will say is i am enjoying the game quite a bit, enough to make me part with some cash and buy some zen coins for a few trinkets.
Only have a few complaints and one is i find the ability to level up too easy. I am at level 32 and its kind of disappointing how easy and short the time frame was to get to this point just playing PVE and running a few dungeons. I haven't even run more then a few foundry missions and maybe 6-10 dungeons and the rest is just NPC and story quests. I gather had i ran many more dungeons and took advantage of more of the foundry missions then i did i would have got to this point even faster. Either the point system to get from level to level after 20 needs to have more points added to the system so it takes longer to gain levels or the missions have to give less points IMO.levelling up this fast it waters down the whole experience of being able to enjoy the game , the story and the work vs reward which could be more satisfying if you felt you earned a level up instead of being handed it.
I also play Swtor and although some may say its levelling system is also easy, playing PVE quests and story takes far longer to get to a new level then this does ending in a more satisfying experience when you see you have gained a new level. I know some prefer a quick blast to 60 and get on with the PVP..maybe there can be some high reward side missions that they can do to gain XP faster like giving Xp boosts as mission rewards that a player can choose to use or not. (just tossing out ideas).
Other comment is i wish the companions had a bit of a story as well that would develop. Maybe i am spoiled By the deeper and multiple story lines that SWTOR develops with your character and with the companions. But i just find my companion to be rather uninspired and TBH boring. They are helpful and do what a companion has to do but just feel the whole opportunity to deepen the whole background story was missed.
Either way I am still having fun ..i just feel i will get to level 60 inside the next 2 weeks and be left as a PVE player with the feeling of that being all there is.
anyways...Just my idling rambling.

Lol, 2 weeks? You must be leveling a DC. It took me 3 days to level my CW and get into t2 gear. It took me like 2 weeks to level my DC and get into t2 gear. Everything in this game is too easy, you can level way to fast and buy all of your gear for cheap. Then what? PvP? no it is terrible at 60. PvE, GG aand epic dungeons are not fun in my opinion. There are no mechanics and just a flood of adds. There is way too big of a difference between the classes and the speed/difficulty of leveling. T^his game could have been great but it is way too broken and unfinished.
Funny way to start; assuming people don't work, have families or hobbies. Anyway, agreeing with the OP for game being too fast paced on leveling side. And I really wonder why they even changed lvl 55-60 content easier, that content being (mostly) the only challenging part in leveling.
Poor DCs... They got hammered big time... No healing points in PvP... Crazy low DPS in PvE...
/sigh
It wasnt a troll toward anyone. I leveled my CW in 3 days of semi casual play over a weekend. I was agreeing with OP that it is far too easy.
They work great for dungeon healing IMO, but leveling just sucked.
Play the storyline. Do a skirmish. Do several skirmishes. Check out the Foundry and do a quest or two. Learn about Professions and start doing Leadership. Learn about invoking and start doing that. Do a dungeon. Check out the PvP and maybe run a couple of matches.
Realize you are actually starting to outlevel content and try to put on the brakes....
You can gain a couple of levels a week from nothing but Leadership and invoking.

Personally I was so grateful that the leveling process wasn't an absolute nightmare, especially since I too leveled a cleric. It wasn't grindy, you could really take advantage of foundry hours, etc, and I never for a moment felt that awful "omg this is taking forever, I hate this so much" feeling.
Maybe it's because I spent years playing an MMO in which I leveled about 6 or so characters, and every expansion brought another 5 or 10 levels and it was PAINFULLY slow.
Basically, be careful what you wish for!
3 days to get from 0-60 and farm all the T2 gear ?
Yeah, right. In a static (and skilled) guild group this might be doable. Otherwise you are either lying or delusional......
I didnt say I farmed the gear, that is the problem I am pointing out. You can just got to the AH and buy it really cheap. I farmed for maybe a day to get enough AD to buy most of the gear.
If you read past where you quoted me too I pointed out how cheap it is to buy the gear.
From what ive been reading/hearing most people arent so butt hurt becasue lvling is so quick but becasue there is not really anything of worth to do once your max lvl. With the way this game is set up it should really only take you about a month of casual play(2-3 hrs/day if that) to get max lvl/BiS gear. If there was some real end game content i dont think people would have such a problem with how fast you can technically "beat the game". There is just not enough content to keep anyone here for an extended time.
I think back to the days of Everquest. They had so much content on release and leveling was so difficult that it could take you months of playing just to get max lvl. It would take many many months to gear up in the top gear that was available. These are some of the reasons that people played for years and years and STILL play EQ1 to this day as they still have expansions coming out almost every year with tons of new content.
This is easily doable, if you're farming for them on the AH
(I started a GWF on a Friday evening, and was lv 60 by the end of the weekend, I think- levelling solo)
This^^^ Endgame t2 gear should not be so cheap on the AH. That is part of what makes this game so un-replayable. Honestly, if you bought any kind of pack, you can buy almost all T2 not BiS gear on the AH and have AD left over. Or if you make a few t2 runs and sell what you dont get you can buy with the proceeds from the sale of items.
If they are going to make it so easy to level they need to have a lot of good endgame content. I am not one to rush to level cap in most game, but this was so easy I was always outleveling content on my CW. I would queue for dungeons and outlevel them before I found a group. The leveling is so linear too, there is no exploring it is just follow the sparkly line. On my DC it took longer only because it becomes abysmally long after you hit about level 45. I got to level 40 in a couple of days on my DC and the rest of the 2 weeks was trying to get from 40 to 60. There is way to much discrepancy in classes. this company has no idea how to balance. This game feels like it was thrown together as a money grab and there are trying to get as much as they can before they have to merge the servers and just maintain.
If you're struggling go to the vendors in the market every time you get to level x0 and get new green gear, this is more than sufficient or you can spend AD and get even better gear on the AH.
Look for other people levelling and quest together; most people will just go solo but many will be more than happy to team up (just don't waste time micro managing your inventory/selling as it's rude to keep people waiting like that, do that on your own time).
If you're stuck on an instanced quest don't be scared to ask in zone for other people on the same quest. This would often be one of the later ones in a zone. Or just skip it and move on.
If you run out of quests mix in some pvp. Try to do pvp at the upper end of a level range, like x7-x9 and it'll be easier if pvp isn't really your thing. You'll make good exp from pvp until you reach the 50s.
Hell, I'd advocate just wearing what drops, and not enchanting any of it, to save the gems as grist to the lv 60 mill, and it's still quite easy. When you finish a zone, queue for that zone's dungeon (as you'll have the quest for it) and hit the next zone. If you get a group for the dungeon, great. If you don't, well, you'll just outlevel the non-epic one soon anyway, no big loss.
Meanwhile, in the next zone, it's quicker just to solo things unless there's someone looking for company on a quest you're about to do. Waiting around for any length of time negates the speed increase entirely.
Don't get me wrong, the levelling content is the best stuff in the game, and looks fantastic. However, once you've done it a couple of times, you want it all to be fast and frictionless. Levelling is pretty and interesting (the first time). One thing it most certainly is not, is difficult.
.................
How many characters are you rotating? Altaholics are going to be slower than a single-minded soul with one character they're powerlevelling.
My highest is nearly 52, started in May, and I have a late 40-something and a 30-something (hard to keep track when they're levelling from invocation not questing). My gaming hours are somewhat limited, and it's not unusual for me to spend most of them managing AH transactions rather than questing, which I recognize as my own choice. But I've had to work really hard at not levelling so that I could do each skirmish with that highest-levelled guy, which sometimes requires me to stop questing altogether until I can finally get into the current skirmish before I can't queue for it anymore. I've decided to not even worry about it with new characters, because it's such a pain and interferes so badly with just, you know, playing.

Hopefully that will change.
I wasn't really trying to complain that the game is too "easy" just finding going from 1 level to the next is happening too fast and i'm not really doing anything special. Put it this way..I have played about 1.5 hours between lunch yesterday and a little this morning. I hit level 31 yesterday and hit Level 32 this morning. I ran 1 dungeon and about a dozen quests and No dailies. even if the pace slows a bit later for the little time i have put into the game right now i am just surprised i am at level 32 already. In swtor the same game time i would be level 20-25 just doing quests and a "dungeon" or 2. I am trying to slow the pace down myself but lie i said Im not even doing anything extra ..heck i'm not even past level 2 in my 2 professions yet so thats not adding anything to the mix either.
I just think the game pace is too accelerated and it should be slowed down a tad with options available for those who want to quicken their run to level 60 and the same options can be ignored by those who don't want to race to the top. I don't think its unreasonable and its not a complaint the game itself is easy, i think the amount of points needed to the next level VS what's awarded is imbalanced and the current system artificially races you to the next level too quickly + i find the overall difficulty level to be not as high as i expected. Most of the time im grinding through NPC's like a wood chipper on basic gear with no enchantments.
Just saying it would be nice to have to work a bit harder for my gains and getting my HAMSTER handed to me by some tougher NPC's in quests would force me to better my gear and take on extra foundry quests and dungeons to get the gear needed to take on the harder NPC's. Right now ..I pick up gear..I don't even look at its stats because its telling me what gear/weapon is recommended and i equip that instead and that gear is carrying me through. Its one thing to deliberately be over levelled for quests your doing..its another when you're at the right level for that quest and not over it and still able to grind through NPC's as if they posed almost no challenge often.

Maybe. Somehow, the last character I levelled was mostly doing quests 2-3 levels above me for a lot of the time, and it still didn't hand me my ***, much to my disappointment. It's a lot less satisfying to faceroll a quest than it is to suffer the slings and arrows of outrage pwnage, take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them.
There were a couple of moments of pushback, where the end boss of a solo instance couldn't be blindly facetanked while I spammed encounters, and I actually had to pay attention and dodge some attacks. However, it would have been nice if this was the rule rather than the exception.
It's a mixed blessing, though. For your first character, it's nice if the levelling takes a while, as it allowed world building and a sense of place. By the time you're on your third alt.. not so much.
Where've you been? People were complaining about leveling being too fast/game being too easy since the beginning. /shrug
It's easy to overlevel if you play every bit of content -- do dungeons, skrimishes, PvP, etc. If you just run the storyline through without anything else it's on par more or less.
The problem is that if the level curve is based around the player having to do everything in order to level (to prevent overleveling), people who don't want to do PvP/foundries/dungeons are going to be very pissed and underleveled. Normally I think the best way to do it is to make the leveling curve around the storyline. The issue in this game is that the storyline is shortish, so that's a content issue. Trying to make up for that by making the leveling curve require people to do skirmishes/dungeons/PvP/foundries just to stay on par with the story creates other problems that I think would be best left alone. Perhaps a compromise solution would be to permit people to turn off XP for PvE leveling for everything other than PvP (to prevent twinking).
the longest i was on was 7h 2get free blue dog in invasion event, my hand was ***-- for the rest day.
lets hope they make L60-L100 harder 2level up......
after L20 they have too -30% of exp given in quests,
i don't think they will change it look at old posts or threads... they have more important things 2fix in game then leveling.....
Agreed with OP. I want the level progression to slow down also. It helps feel that the rewards are actually worth something. And gives me time to connect with my character instead of it just being a thing I do to waste time. I notice nobody writes a history for their character. And why would they? Before you know it, you are retiring that one to try something new. Slow it down and we'll get more involved. Just my opinion. For what it's worth. Hah.
Yeah, it's hard to know how to respond to that without being overtly offensive. It's the easiest levelling that I've seen in an MMO yet.
DCUO was really easy too. Maybe even easier. But I agree that it's way too easy to level in Neverwinter. The game literally throws XP at you.
You know, I think NW is easier- and faster. Admittedly, you can't throw buses at RPers in this, so maybe it just feels a little slower.
