I'm sorry, but having played gw2, this is not completely true. While you won't wave through mobs, you'll deal substantially more damage to them than you do at low level. Doing AC at level 30 is a thing, doing it al level 80 is another.
Thats not 100% true as well. Thats only in low level content where mobs are scaled to teach players the game. At level 80 in a level 40 map its as hard as a top level area. Same with dungeons. Sure the first dungeon AC is but the others are not. AC is scaled to teach you team/dungeon play and is easy mode.
The fact remains... its not so easy its not fun and thats my point. A level down system makes all content worth the effort to play it with a top level char. This is good for the player as it gives us more content. We can go play with friends that are not top level yet and it does not feel like a cake walk for them. It also give the devs more time to put out quality content as high level players are not board with very little to do. Me personally I play for the challenge not the hope to fight a bunch of grey con mobs.

Yeah and foodle please stop wishing for Guild Wars 2 features that are not in the game. There will be no scaling.Actually the one thing(that I know) that this game has common with Guild Wars 2 is that it will have some kind of PvE Events though I suspect they will be more small scale then Guild Wars 2 Events i.e not for so many players.

This game will also have traditional Quests and Quest logs as should be! In the World exists Harper Agents they are like good agents that give Quests for players. Remains to be seen if some of the Harper Agents will choose to joing battles as NPC:s at least in many Forgotten Realms books Harper Agents also sometime acts as heroes when there is a great need.
For those who not know Harpers are a secret organization that tries to preserve good in the World. Some of them are lawful, but certainly not all of them for example I have read books about a female Chaotic Good Thief Harper Agent. Therefore Harpers are less about keeping law and more about keeping Good in the World. I don't think Harpers care so much about keeping the law at all times and instead they concentrate more on preventing great Evil threats then small thefts or Thief Guild activities.
Before you think it is all about Epic adventure... not all Harpers are so powerful(though some Harper Agents are really powerful) and they could simply give a quest to fix a problem with Undead Activity in the local graveyard or to fix the increased Wererat activity in the sewers. Many of the Harpers also don't take so active role and act more like advisors and information gatherers(and are likely not so powerful) though yeah some Harper Agents are also Elite Heroes. In theory you can get a simple easy local Quest or a huge hard Epic Quest from a Harper Agent:).

So dont tell me what not to ask for as this is what this thread is about. I dont want this game to be GW2 but I dont expect Cryptic to get with the time of modern MMOs and features that are current to the market.

I'll have to look, but wasn't there a Cryptic conversation about scaling? I thought they said that like in other games that a player could scale their character up or down to match a party in a quest. So you may have big gear on, but your HP will scale down, or maybe your gear isn't sufficient, but your HP will scale up, so you can play with a group of friends that way. I'll look for that.

There is no unique MMOs out there. WoW is a clone of what came before it with 10-20% new ideas added to make it its own beast. Every MMO has done this since EQ1 made the market what it is. Im not asking Cryptic to make NW a GW2 clone but it is worth looking at what they did right. They have the 2nd biggest launch of a MMO since WoW and thats saying something. And I asked for two features from GW2 to end up here, level down content and game wide auction house. Get a grip, as it would take a lot more then that to make NW a GW2 clone!!!! <<<eye roll>>>

WOW was polished sure it lended ideas, but it did them better less bugs etc and the system requirements was reasonable even at release. I am sure EQ1 was great game, but in the 90ies I did not play MMO:s though I did play Baldurs Gate games in cooperative multiplayer together with my brother in LAN. Unreal tournament FPS games were another favorite of mine and I hope Neverwinter PvP will support Capture The Flag gaming mode as Unreal Tournament 2004 and WOW did.
Auction House? There exist some kind of Auction house that has been confirmed, but I don't know much details. There are random loot drops and you can buy/sell stuff in Auction House.

I also tried DDO Online when it became free, but back then you got so little exp/loot in DDO that if you did not pay you could have a contest which has slower levelup speed DDO free verison without any payment(when it became free back then) or Everquest. After one week of playing I was still level 1.
I also played Age of Conan MMO that had mature content and even <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> before it was censored in nudity. I hope we can see as much "nudity" as age ratings allow and that we have nasty and sexy monsters like Succubus.
I want horror content like in Vampire Series True Blood that also has nudity. TB season 1 and 2 I rate as 7/10, but season 3, 4 and 5 I rate as 9/10. There is also a new Succubus TV series: Lost Girl and I rate it as generally fairly good 7.5/10.

Here is where we differ again. I hope NW heads for a family rating. No nudity, no gore, no blood. 100% T for teen or pegi 12 rated... pls
i hate these "strippers running to battle" games, where full plate armor looks like smth you could go to beach with, but id like to see nudity/blood/gore etc. where it fits, it just adds depth of experience(Spartacus tv series) and i want to transform somebody/thing i hate into a big stain on the wall, ok, pulling it behind the mount through a city would be 2 much, but some head chopping action would be nice, though i doubt it will ever happen
best option would be a decent block where blood/gore/etc could be set in either game or account options. restricting that to ppl so kids can play is like forbidding somebody to walk cause some disabled ppl cant
but the main thing i want from this game is good, fair, long term item shop, ive had enough of these games where one can spend 1000$/month, own everybody and then game just shuts down 5 month later, and that require you to spend 3x more money to be competitive than p2p
also i want the world to have the thing that made wow so great - you want to explore every corner of the map because you dont know what will you find, instead of generic plant1 and tree2

I would really this was not a kid's game. M rated. That doesn't mean stupid bikini armor. But Dungeons and Dragons is a young adult game. Neverwinter is a dirty, grimy, gory place. Monsters bleed. I want adult themes and content. Horror and whatnot. I don't think it's asking much, as it's generally accepted that most DnD fans are 18+ at this point.
As an aside Age of Conan was a fantastic MMO and the advertisement "not for kids" alone was enough for me to want to play it. If I wanted to play online games with kids I would get an Xbox.
Also Rift was fantastic. It isn't a terribly innovative game but everything it does it does well. Also, Trion is probably the best MMO dev team I've ever seen.

It shouldn't be that hard to put sliders in with parental lockout. I don't think it's been done in an MMO but it'd be really cool. I wouldn't mind something thats semi realistic to over the top but I wouldn't want to rating to suffer to the point that people don't let their kids play it.

Not only are there events, I was one of the people who first mentioned them, and also have them linked in my FAQ.
As for Harpers...I sorta know some things and sorta don't. Let's just say they will be an organization faction where you get missions from in some point very likely.
I have no knowledge if they will ever aid you as NPC's or not in the game, but know NPC's should be likely to be in quests as STO and CO have shown.
As for "power," Neverwinter, and "alignments," remember, what was just described here and by others was for the old Harpers. Not only was there a schism in 3rd ed that shattered a lot of the Harper members to Moonstars, they disbanded before the Spellplague.
The Harpers were first founded in 324 DR as the Harpers at Twilight. They became the Harpers in 720 DR, disbanded and then were reformed in 1022 DR[1] The group made their presence felt in the Western Heartlands due to their doings with Baldur's Gate, though they were also felt in Silverymoon. A schism in the group would form after Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun left the group to form the Moonstars in Waterdeep. [3][4] The Harpers would then stop the plans of Eldrith the Betrayer and Mordoc SeLanmere and would disband shortly prior to the Spellplague. In 1479, in Silverymoon, a new group called the Harpers of Luruar would form.
The modern Harpers mentioned are actually from Everlund now, are very very small (based on the the Neverwinter Campaign Books,) and they have their own troubles. As guessed, they lost a lot of power from there last incarnation.
The Harpers are even less powerful in Neverwinter do to their local leader's death. Technically there are only two "official" agents in Neverwinter and twelve members total. Alignment is...spotty at best what people are there, and that "doing an evil act shatters the pin" thing enchantment is long gone.
Some stuff might not be revealed in the MMO game at launch and could make their way in missions down the line (for instance we all knew local news the Neverwinter Harper leader is dead...how is another matter,) so I'll just spoiler marker text it which you can choose to highlight to read.
The Harpers history from Neverwinter's Sourcebook:
HARPERS
A group that seeks to help Neverwinter develop into the bastion of good it was before the cataclysm, the Harpers have suffered numerous setbacks in the region. The most catastrophic was Cymril's murder.
A high-ranking member, Cymril was charismatic and capable.
She had even managed to rise to leadership of the Sons of Alagondar rebel organization. Her death was a major blow to those insurgents, too, and they now eye the Harpers with suspicion. To make matters worse, a faction of the leaderless rebels has since turned to the Dead Rats gang for aid.
Only ten or twelve Harper members work in Never winter, and only two of them are official agents. Toram (use the half-elf bandit captain in Monster Manual 2) makes the cell's tactical decisions. His half-sister, Theryis (use the eladrin arcane archer in Monster Manual 2), runs the House of a Thousand Faces tavern, which accommodates the Harpers. Members hide out in their Blacklake district base, arguing over how to unite the rebels under an honorable banner once more.
The Harpers know nothing of the Netherese presence in the region or the Thayan threat. They would consider both a higher priority than ousting Lord Neverember. Knowledge of Shadovar involvement would cause them to seek help from Harper cells in distant lands. Practical-minded, they might even align with Neverember to fight the other threats.
And from the Harper Agent Theme:
You journeyed to Everlund to enlist in the group, whereupon you were given a task to complete in order to earn your Harper pin.
You were dispatched to Neverwinter, there to contact a local Harper agent named Cymril and lend your services to the Sons of Alagondar.
Cymril, in addition to being one of the few Harpers in the city, is the leader of the Sons of Alagondar. This underground resistance movement opposes the imperialistic aims of Dagult Neverember, the Open Lord of Waterdeep, who has established himself as the "Protector" of Never winter during its reconstruction.
The Harpers believe that Neverember's intentions are less than noble, and that he seeks to expand his mercantile empire for his own gain at the expense of the people. They are sure that, with his ruthless methods and suspect alliances, Neverember plans to usurp the throne of Neverwinter and build a cutthroat empire on the Sword Coast.
On your arrival. you learned the hard way that Neverember's treachery runs deeper than even the Harpers know. All of a sudden, your world turned inside out when a squad of Neverember's mercenaries ambushed your group. You avoided the initial assault by ducking into an alcove-where you watched as Cymril began cutting down your comrades! Clearly, she was working in league with the soldiers. One of Cymril's lieutenants turned on her and wounded her fatally just before he himself was cut down by the mercenaries.
When the mercenaries moved on, they left the bodies of their victims (including Cymril) in the street as a warning to other dissidents. Before you left the area, you had the foresight to pluck Cymril's Harper pin from her vest, lest it fall into the wrong hands.Was Cymril truly a traitor to Neverwinter's cause, or was she working as a double agent? You can't be sure. What you do know is that when both the Sons of Alagondar and the Harpers got wind of what had happened, they immediately suspected that someone in the ambushed group was working for the other side. As the newcomer, you bear the brunt of the suspicion of both groups.
The city's rebel forces have fractured since Cymril's death into disorganized and ineffective war bands.
The book makes all groups encountered manageable by the heroic tier (levels 1-10) but technically, you could met any level Harper from any region now. Just don't think they are like they were in their last glory, and are quite routed.

In regards to players and their zones matching or not: Instanced do scale to the solo player, group, or Delve. Persistant zones do not.

Actually, if you're looking for commercial MMO internet gateways that influenced MMO's and the "clones" after it, Meridian 59 was first. Technically the Massively part was allowed in 1995 when NSFNET was decommissioned and commercial restrictions on multiple users connecting were lifted. Also, that game was the first internet and 3d-based MMORPG. If that isn't used, other games that used text or partial graphics, proprietary systems, and/or lesser numbers than what is considered the minimum of "Massive" would have to be considered.

Sorry, my FAQ is way over character limit and would take up to 8 pages if I redit it ATM, so can't edit it. I'm working behind the scenes if I can make something managable and still keep most to all this information. Having the ability to make tables makes this possible even if it grows to 4-5 pages.
Well, might as well go over to the Chinese Site. Yep, still there. I did ask a contact of mine. The halfling is not scrapped, and is still in internal testing, so they are in so far.
Maybe it's like the cleric and they are not done with it to be ready and announce its release?
I...didn't get as clear an answer when I asked if they looked like a D&D Halfling tiny one or a hobbit wide one though
Edit: What the racial features mean--Remember, this is an MMO so the book definitions don't mean much if they translated it differently for the game.
Human VERSATILE DEFENSE
All I could find was from a class called assassin (Executioner)
You choose a bonus feat, either Shield Proficiency: Light or Two-Weapon Defense. You don’t have to meet the feat’s prerequisite.
This suggests in game you get a bonus to defense, but not sure. With humans, maybe they can get some special attack and/or defense bonus, suggesting some swapping mechanic?
Half-Elf Dual Heritage: You can take feats that have either elf or human as a prerequisite (as well as those specifically for half-elves), as long as you meet any other requirements.
No way are they doing Feats as tabletop, so this suggests some straight out defense or offensive bonus or bonus triggered by something like when you're bloodied.
Elf Elven Accuracy
With an instant of focus, you take careful aim at your foe and strike with the legendary accuracy of the elves.
Encounter
Free Action Personal
Trigger: You make an attack roll and dislike the result.
Effect: Reroll the attack roll. Use the second roll, even if it’s lower.
Since there is no rolling, I'd guess straight up attack bonuses.
Tiefling Bloodhunt: You gain a +1 racial bonus to attack rolls against bloodied enemies.
That seems to translate well.
After thinking it through, I think the best thing we can do is go contact the China location and ask abut this in English. When we don't get a clear answer, we should speak slower and yell louder...oh wait, DON'T be an "Ugly American." I've had to deal with a few Chinese people and those at least know a little conversational English. My dad orders Ham radio parts and has had to get clarification a few times on the self written manuals.
As for Harpers...I sorta know some things and sorta don't. Let's just say they will be an organization faction where you get missions from in some point very likely.
I have no knowledge if they will ever aid you as NPC's or not in the game, but know NPC's should be likely to be in quests as STO and CO have shown.
As for "power," Neverwinter, and "alignments," remember, what was just described here and by others was for the old Harpers. Not only was there a schism in 3rd ed that shattered a lot of the Harper members to Moonstars, they disbanded before the Spellplague.
The modern Harpers mentioned are actually from Everlund now, are very very small (based on the the Neverwinter Campaign Books,) and they have their own troubles. As guessed, they lost a lot of power from there last incarnation.
The Harpers are even less powerful in Neverwinter do to their local leader's death. Technically there are only two "official" agents in Neverwinter and twelve members total. Alignment is...spotty at best what people are there, and that "doing an evil act shatters the pin" thing enchantment is long gone.
Some stuff might not be revealed in the MMO game at launch and could make their way in missions down the line (for instance we all knew local news the Neverwinter Harper leader is dead...how is another matter,) so I'll just spoiler marker text it which you can choose to highlight to read.
The book makes all groups encountered manageable by the heroic tier (levels 1-10) but technically, you could met any level Harper from any region now. Just don't think they are like they were in their last glory, and are quite routed..
Thank you for the update that Harpers are less powerful nowadays and that Khelben the Epic Archmage left the Harpers to form another organization the Moonstars. While I had read over 10 Harper Forgotten Realms books(there exist a Harper series) I did not know that Khelben decided to leave. Yeah there were already some disagreement among the Harpers what I read. Basically Khelben was one of the leaders, but he was not the only one. I am not sure exactly who were the other former Harper leaders, but I know there existed a powerful group of Paladins. The Paladins while none of them likely so powerful as Khelben as invidual as a group were a mighty force to be reckoned with. Khelben had a nephew and that nephews girlfriend was the female Chaotic Thief Harper Agent Hero that I mentioned before.
I would say that simplified Khelben represented the Chaotic Good leaders. The Paladin society the Good Lawful leaders of Harpers. Something like that was the impression I got.
If Khelben did leave the Harpers very likely would his nephew and nephews girlfriend do so and they are powerful heroes. The Charismatic Nephew was some kind of mix between Bard and Mage if I remember correctly and his girlfriend was an Elite Thief.
Needless to say while they did not do war against each other the Chaotic and Lawful leaders certainly did not agree sometimes. The Paladins were also a harsh bunch more like the Inquisition so preserve good and no matter what costs. The Paladin society was also big and I got the impression that not all of the Paladins were Harpers, but as an organization Paladins usually help each other. Therefore if you meet a NPC Paladin in Neverwinter please do not assume automatically that he/she would be a Harper Agent. I would assume that actually clearly less then 50% of the Paladins are Harper Agents, but Paladins work as a society for same goals.
I would really this was not a kid's game. M rated. That doesn't mean stupid bikini armor. But Dungeons and Dragons is a young adult game. Neverwinter is a dirty, grimy, gory place. Monsters bleed. I want adult themes and content. Horror and whatnot. I don't think it's asking much, as it's generally accepted that most DnD fans are 18+ at this point.
As an aside Age of Conan was a fantastic MMO and the advertisement "not for kids" alone was enough for me to want to play it. If I wanted to play online games with kids I would get an Xbox.
Also Rift was fantastic. It isn't a terribly innovative game but everything it does it does well. Also, Trion is probably the best MMO dev team I've ever seen.

Age of Conan MMO when released and single player game RPG Witcher 2 did have nudity. While I like horror very much Ginger Snaps(2000), The Descent(2005) etc. and True Blood TV series I do like hardcore Action battle as in Spartacus and the Roman orgies! I like Action and Horror. Yeah a game like TV series Spartacus and/or True Blood please and they have both nudity! Speaking of hardcore Action movies I sure like Doomsday(2008) as an example of hardcore Action movie.

I have not seen that, that is no surprise since it is rated pure Drama on IMDB. I have nothing particular against Drama(even more when mixed with other categories like Horror or Action) though and many good TV series has also partly Drama. Actually, if you're looking for commercial MMO internet gateways that influenced MMO's and the "clones" after it, Meridian 59 was first. Technically the Massively part was allowed in 1995 when NSFNET was decommissioned and commercial restrictions on multiple users connecting were lifted. Also, that game was the first internet and 3d-based MMORPG. If that isn't used, other games that used text or partial graphics, proprietary systems, and/or lesser numbers than what is considered the minimum of "Massive" would have to be considered.

Yes Everquest was one of the biggest old MMO:s from 90ies. That said WOW had over 12 million active players(paying subfee) during 2010 and both me and my brother was happy WOW players during that time. WOW reached it top subscription levels some time after an Epic Raid ICC(Ice Crown Citadel) was released. It was a HUGE Epic raid containg 12 major bosses.
While AOC had nudity it had lots of bugs and world travelling was annoying to enter zone Z you need to go whole zone X and Y etc and long loading times between areas. WOW was a seamingless world there is no load time between areas unles you take boat to other continent or use a dimensional portal(rare).
We don' need WOW everlasting lootmill, but even that would be better then the ridiculous loot system of Guild Wars 2. Even my casual brother hates GW2. I am confident Neverwinter is less casual then Guild Wars 2 in loot policy FFS both Neverwinternights 1 and Neverwinter Nights 2 main campaigns are less casual then Guild Wars 2 loot system where you max character in less then 2 weeks.

Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun sacrificed himself and died in 1374 DR, his spirit lingered on in Blackstaff Tower (much like how Sylune lingered on outside Shadowdale). However, whether or not his spirit is still bound to the Blackstaff Tower post-Spellplague, I do not know. Laeral was pregnant with his twins at that time of his death.

The current timeline date in the 4e FR Campaign Guide is 1479 DR, this will most likely place Neverwinter in 1480 DR due to it being in timeline with R.A. Salvatore's Neverwinter Saga novels. Half-elves generally live for a few hundred years while elves can live for thousands (actually, elves never "die of old age" - they "pass on" from this life when they can no longer keep the Call of Arvandor at bay, which begins when they are Venerable of Age). Some humans, mostly mages, live for equally long times due to aid from magic and divine forces also.
Elminster Aumar, Storm Silverhand, and The Simbul are three Chosens of Mystra that are known to still be alive in lore dating to the beginning of The Sundering novels due to start coming out next year. We also know that Elminster will be alive in the last of these five novels, which all five will be in chronological order and are also notably the future of our current timeline. Many other former-Chosens of other gods also still exist, like Fzoul Chembryl, as Exarches listed in the 4e Campaign Guide. I have placeholders for these in my Grimoire of Time, listed under the Exarch's section for Holy Days.
Laeral, Alustriel, and Dove "vanished" during the Spellplague and haven't been mentioned since. Qilue perished by Lolth's trickery while possesed by the a mortal form of Eilistrasee. Khelben was one of the mages who sacrificed themselves to cleanse the Moor. The Simbul still persists as does Storm and Elminster. Why they are not listed as Exarch however, I do not know as the source material clearly states that all Chosens of all the Gods at the time of Mystra's death were elevated to the status of Exarch (the 4e name for Demigod) due to gaining access to power withheld from them by Mystra.
As for Khelben's relatives, in addition to those known more widely, there still is his planeswalking grandson, Khelben the Younger, that left Abeir-Toril a long time ago to travel other Planes and Worlds. We know very little of him and even less of what happened to him when he left. Speculation has been he traveled to Oerth (Greyhawk). Khelben's other son, Zelphar, is dead. As is Khelben's granddaughter, Syndra, whose mother (Khelben's daughter) we know very little about.
Elminster had at least three children. Alustriel had 13 sons. Dove and Florin also had a son. Qilue had a daughter, but she is now dead too. We don't know if The Simbul or Sylune had any children, but we do know that Storm is barren, unable to have kids.
I kind-of rambled a bit there...
In the end, I hope to see mentions in Neverwinter Online of our favorite NPCs and their offspring. I hope also to be able to interact with some of them as well.

Thats not 100% true as well. Thats only in low level content where mobs are scaled to teach players the game. At level 80 in a level 40 map its as hard as a top level area. Same with dungeons. Sure the first dungeon AC is but the others are not. AC is scaled to teach you team/dungeon play and is easy mode.
The fact remains... its not so easy its not fun and thats my point. A level down system makes all content worth the effort to play it with a top level char. This is good for the player as it gives us more content. We can go play with friends that are not top level yet and it does not feel like a cake walk for them. It also give the devs more time to put out quality content as high level players are not board with very little to do. Me personally I play for the challenge not the hope to fight a bunch of grey con mobs.

Events is the closest thing that reminds me of Guild Wars 2 and yeah why not I have nothing against them.
This game will also have traditional Quests and Quest logs as should be! In the World exists Harper Agents they are like good agents that give Quests for players. Remains to be seen if some of the Harper Agents will choose to joing battles as NPC:s at least in many Forgotten Realms books Harper Agents also sometime acts as heroes when there is a great need.
For those who not know Harpers are a secret organization that tries to preserve good in the World. Some of them are lawful, but certainly not all of them for example I have read books about a female Chaotic Good Thief Harper Agent. Therefore Harpers are less about keeping law and more about keeping Good in the World. I don't think Harpers care so much about keeping the law at all times and instead they concentrate more on preventing great Evil threats then small thefts or Thief Guild activities.
Before you think it is all about Epic adventure... not all Harpers are so powerful(though some Harper Agents are really powerful) and they could simply give a quest to fix a problem with Undead Activity in the local graveyard or to fix the increased Wererat activity in the sewers. Many of the Harpers also don't take so active role and act more like advisors and information gatherers(and are likely not so powerful) though yeah some Harper Agents are also Elite Heroes. In theory you can get a simple easy local Quest or a huge hard Epic Quest from a Harper Agent:).
Not asking for GW2 lol. I have been MMOing for 15 years and over the years what new ideas that are awesome are added to genre has always been added to other MMOs. Auction houses, battle grounds, mounts, player mods are just a few things we used to not have and now everyone does. GW2 has put a unique spin on a lot of things that made it fun but missed the boat on things as well. So you are darn right I am asking for some features from GW2 to make it here. So dont tell me what not to ask for as this is what this thread is about. I dont want this game to be GW2 but I dont expect Cryptic to get with the time of modern MMOs and features that are current to the market.

There is no unique MMOs out there. WoW is a clone of what came before it with 10-20% new ideas added to make it its own beast. Every MMO has done this since EQ1 made the market what it is. Im not asking Cryptic to make NW a GW2 clone but it is worth looking at what they did right. They have the 2nd biggest launch of a MMO since WoW and thats saying something. And I asked for two features from GW2 to end up here, level down content and game wide auction house. Get a grip, as it would take a lot more then that to make NW a GW2 clone!!!! <<<eye roll>>>
WOW was polished sure it lended ideas, but it did them better less bugs etc and the system requirements was reasonable even at release. I am sure EQ1 was great game, but in the 90ies I did not play MMO:s though I did play Baldurs Gate games in cooperative multiplayer together with my brother in LAN. Unreal tournament FPS games were another favorite of mine and I hope Neverwinter PvP will support Capture The Flag gaming mode as Unreal Tournament 2004 and WOW did.
Auction House? There exist some kind of Auction house that has been confirmed, but I don't know much details. There are random loot drops and you can buy/sell stuff in Auction House.
I was at WoW's release from day 1. Biggest mess of a MMO launch you could have. So much down time and bugs they were handing out free game time hand over fist. No end game content at all!!!! Not a dungeon or a raid. No PvP, no battlegrounds. Everyone spent months raiding cities and quest hubs for something to do till we got MC lol. As far as MMO launches go, GW2 was miles ahead of them. My guild made the jump to GW2 from WoW and most are still playing it. Not saying GW2 is the end all be all of MMOs. Im saying they did some things really well. Rifts did as well. The 2 top MMO launches since WoW and gaming companies need to ask why?
I also tried DDO Online when it became free, but back then you got so little exp/loot in DDO that if you did not pay you could have a contest which has slower levelup speed DDO free verison without any payment(when it became free back then) or Everquest. After one week of playing I was still level 1.
I also played Age of Conan MMO that had mature content and even <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> before it was censored in nudity. I hope we can see as much "nudity" as age ratings allow and that we have nasty and sexy monsters like Succubus.

I want horror content like in Vampire Series True Blood that also has nudity. TB season 1 and 2 I rate as 7/10, but season 3, 4 and 5 I rate as 9/10. There is also a new Succubus TV series: Lost Girl and I rate it as generally fairly good 7.5/10.
Here is where we differ again. I hope NW heads for a family rating. No nudity, no gore, no blood. 100% T for teen or pegi 12 rated... pls
i hate these "strippers running to battle" games, where full plate armor looks like smth you could go to beach with, but id like to see nudity/blood/gore etc. where it fits, it just adds depth of experience(Spartacus tv series) and i want to transform somebody/thing i hate into a big stain on the wall, ok, pulling it behind the mount through a city would be 2 much, but some head chopping action would be nice, though i doubt it will ever happen
best option would be a decent block where blood/gore/etc could be set in either game or account options. restricting that to ppl so kids can play is like forbidding somebody to walk cause some disabled ppl cant
but the main thing i want from this game is good, fair, long term item shop, ive had enough of these games where one can spend 1000$/month, own everybody and then game just shuts down 5 month later, and that require you to spend 3x more money to be competitive than p2p
also i want the world to have the thing that made wow so great - you want to explore every corner of the map because you dont know what will you find, instead of generic plant1 and tree2

In regards to players and their zones matching or not: Instanced do scale to the solo player, group, or Delve. Persistant zones do not.

Sorry, my FAQ is way over character limit and would take up to 8 pages if I redit it ATM, so can't edit it. I'm working behind the scenes if I can make something managable and still keep most to all this information. Having the ability to make tables makes this possible even if it grows to 4-5 pages.

All I could find was from a class called assassin (Executioner)
You choose a bonus feat, either Shield Proficiency: Light or Two-Weapon Defense. You don’t have to meet the feat’s prerequisite.
This suggests in game you get a bonus to defense, but not sure. With humans, maybe they can get some special attack and/or defense bonus, suggesting some swapping mechanic?
Half-Elf
Dual Heritage: You can take feats that have either elf or human as a prerequisite (as well as those specifically for half-elves), as long as you meet any other requirements.
No way are they doing Feats as tabletop, so this suggests some straight out defense or offensive bonus or bonus triggered by something like when you're bloodied.

Since there is no rolling, I'd guess straight up attack bonuses.

That seems to translate well.
After thinking it through, I think the best thing we can do is go contact the China location and ask abut this in English. When we don't get a clear answer, we should speak slower and yell louder...oh wait, DON'T be an "Ugly American." I really should learn their language (Edit: NO I'm NOT being serious about that last part, just for fun)
I would say that simplified Khelben represented the Chaotic Good leaders. The Paladin society the Good Lawful leaders of Harpers. Something like that was the impression I got.
If Khelben did leave the Harpers very likely would his nephew and nephews girlfriend do so and they are powerful heroes. The Charismatic Nephew was some kind of mix between Bard and Mage if I remember correctly and his girlfriend was an Elite Thief.
Needless to say while they did not do war against each other the Chaotic and Lawful leaders certainly did not agree sometimes. The Paladins were also a harsh bunch more like the Inquisition so preserve good and no matter what costs. The Paladin society was also big and I got the impression that not all of the Paladins were Harpers, but as an organization Paladins usually help each other. Therefore if you meet a NPC Paladin in Neverwinter please do not assume automatically that he/she would be a Harper Agent. I would assume that actually clearly less then 50% of the Paladins are Harper Agents, but Paladins work as a society for same goals.

Ridiculous wish regardless if it is going to be Teen or Mature rated this game will have blood! We could however have settings in User interface. Many games let people disable blood if they want that.
Age of Conan MMO when released and single player game RPG Witcher 2 did have nudity. While I like horror very much Ginger Snaps(2000), The Descent(2005) etc. and True Blood TV series I do like hardcore Action battle as in Spartacus and the Roman orgies! I like Action and Horror. Yeah a game like TV series Spartacus and/or True Blood please and they have both nudity! Speaking of hardcore Action movies I sure like Doomsday(2008) as an example of hardcore Action movie.

I have not seen that, that is no surprise since it is rated pure Drama on IMDB. I have nothing particular against Drama(even more when mixed with other categories like Horror or Action) though and many good TV series has also partly Drama. Ginger Snaps(2000) which I like very much is a Drama/Horror

I don't think there exist any forum member that has not seen that LOTR movie. Remember the Orc fight at the very end? It is brutal that is the way I want the game to be and much more nudity then shown in LOTR movies please.
Yeah sure I like True Blood the Vampire TV series. That said I don't need a game where Vampires literally bath in blood, but blood should be naturally shown.
True... but EQ1 was the first to make this market what it is. They broke every record at the time for number of players online and subscriptions. They made the MMO to beat at the time and the model new MMOs would copy. Before EQ1 gaming corporations had no interest in MMOs. But that was not my point in my post.
While AOC had nudity it had lots of bugs and world travelling was annoying to enter zone Z you need to go whole zone X and Y etc and long loading times between areas. WOW was a seamingless world there is no load time between areas unles you take boat to other continent or use a dimensional portal(rare).
We don' need WOW everlasting lootmill, but even that would be better then the ridiculous loot system of Guild Wars 2. Even my casual brother hates GW2. I am confident Neverwinter is less casual then Guild Wars 2 in loot policy FFS both Neverwinternights 1 and Neverwinter Nights 2 main campaigns are less casual then Guild Wars 2 loot system where you max character in less then 2 weeks.
Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun sacrificed himself and died in 1374 DR, his spirit lingered on in Blackstaff Tower (much like how Sylune lingered on outside Shadowdale). However, whether or not his spirit is still bound to the Blackstaff Tower post-Spellplague, I do not know. Laeral was pregnant with his twins at that time of his death.

I am not so fond of that picture of Danilo... in the books he was much younger like 20-25 years old.
Anyway an Assasin as Harper! Arilyn Moonblade provides certainly that not all Harpers are so Lawful quite the opposite though yes there exist also Paladin Harpers. I wonder how long does half elves live? Would there be any chance Arilyn Moonblade would be still alive as an old woman?
Anyway on the positive side maybe we will meet relatives to these Heroes. A younger generation and even if they would be distant relatives it could be interesting for me as player to hear "you know my aunt was Arilyn Moonblade and I am a Harper!". Arilyn Moonblade was like a nightmare for Lawful Evil characters:).
Well there is certainly one character still alive and he is this game a Hero well known to me; Drizzt Do Urden. Elves live very long.
The current timeline date in the 4e FR Campaign Guide is 1479 DR, this will most likely place Neverwinter in 1480 DR due to it being in timeline with R.A. Salvatore's Neverwinter Saga novels. Half-elves generally live for a few hundred years while elves can live for thousands (actually, elves never "die of old age" - they "pass on" from this life when they can no longer keep the Call of Arvandor at bay, which begins when they are Venerable of Age). Some humans, mostly mages, live for equally long times due to aid from magic and divine forces also.
Elminster Aumar, Storm Silverhand, and The Simbul are three Chosens of Mystra that are known to still be alive in lore dating to the beginning of The Sundering novels due to start coming out next year. We also know that Elminster will be alive in the last of these five novels, which all five will be in chronological order and are also notably the future of our current timeline. Many other former-Chosens of other gods also still exist, like Fzoul Chembryl, as Exarches listed in the 4e Campaign Guide. I have placeholders for these in my Grimoire of Time, listed under the Exarch's section for Holy Days.
Laeral, Alustriel, and Dove "vanished" during the Spellplague and haven't been mentioned since. Qilue perished by Lolth's trickery while possesed by the a mortal form of Eilistrasee. Khelben was one of the mages who sacrificed themselves to cleanse the Moor. The Simbul still persists as does Storm and Elminster. Why they are not listed as Exarch however, I do not know as the source material clearly states that all Chosens of all the Gods at the time of Mystra's death were elevated to the status of Exarch (the 4e name for Demigod) due to gaining access to power withheld from them by Mystra.
As for Khelben's relatives, in addition to those known more widely, there still is his planeswalking grandson, Khelben the Younger, that left Abeir-Toril a long time ago to travel other Planes and Worlds. We know very little of him and even less of what happened to him when he left. Speculation has been he traveled to Oerth (Greyhawk). Khelben's other son, Zelphar, is dead. As is Khelben's granddaughter, Syndra, whose mother (Khelben's daughter) we know very little about.
Elminster had at least three children. Alustriel had 13 sons. Dove and Florin also had a son. Qilue had a daughter, but she is now dead too. We don't know if The Simbul or Sylune had any children, but we do know that Storm is barren, unable to have kids.
I kind-of rambled a bit there...
In the end, I hope to see mentions in Neverwinter Online of our favorite NPCs and their offspring. I hope also to be able to interact with some of them as well.
