7 month plus wait for AD exchange is bit much.
What do people spend the zen on:
VIP (add 3 moth VIP limited 1 time to bazaar maybe 1 or twice a year)
Companions/mounts (legendary or mystic mount in bazaar limited time. Charge extra AD but make them account wide)
comp/mount tokens in Bazaar (limited time)
Powder bags for insignia and mount collar upgrades
Put items in bazaar for a limited time that people would of spend there zen on and people will pull there orders off the Zax and buy the items reducing the Zax backlog and wait time.
Side note is put items in Bazaar at a decent price
400K AD for a 1 character loadout and 300K AD for a name change is laughable. Check the player base and how many people actually buy them. 1/2 that price might be reasonable. OR have the name change and loadout be for multi characters.
Monthly limited time random items on bazaar comparable to similar item on AH.
Any other ideas please add to thread. Or just like, lol, insightful mark so Dev's see we are interested in reducing the backlog on Zax

If they wanted to fix it, they would have already months ago.

PSN Zen AD Exchange - Forecasting Spreadsheet
I think you basically would have to remove the need to transfer AD to ZEN to reduce the backlog. Maybe make some zen store items bound. Like Motes/Wards? People buy zen so they can buy motes and resell and make profit. Same goes with other items too. The zen store should not be a way to make profit. You exchange for zen, buy 10 motes, sell them in AH and then buy even more zen and on and on it goes.
On the other hand, if the motes are bound then you can only get them from zen store and that might have the opposite effect, more people trying to get zen and stuck not being able to upgrade anything for months. Maybe they should just move the mote/wards to some AD store and make everything else bound?
There are probably better ways fixing the backlog tho.

Also, if they copied GW2's "zax" it'd be done with. There you don't set the price, it updates the buy/sell prices every minute or so, then you instantly buy/sell according to the price if you so wish.
They have tools and know how to reduce the queue. They did that before. That might give trouble to those who made that decision in the past.
They have no incentive to reduce the queue beyond PR/good will level. Longer the queue, more will pay money.
They may do little thing here and there to provide PR/good will but deep down, they don't really want to reduce the queue.
