Lockbox Keys from VIP after last patch

It appears that lockbox keys from VIP are stuck in the "Useful Items" tab (after this last patch and the creation of this tab) until assistance can change it. This effectively makes these keys at the moment non transferable to others on the same account. I have submitted a ticket so I hope a fix will be in the working.

    You can still mail them to your alts :smile: Just can't put them in shared banks.

    I think this is WAI, the only way you can move any "account bound" keys is to use the mail system

    Working as intended at the moment. It was stated that they knew they wouldn't be able to be put in the shared bank but they knew they'd be able to be sent to your own account through in game mail. They're keeping the possibility of them being able to be banked on the table as a possible option in the future however.

    Are they still able to be mailed?

    M.k. here- yes you should still be able to mail them, just like crafting tools/ ingredients/ assets. We agree it's not the most facile way, but currently a system we have in game that works.

    As has been said you can move them though the mail system. The dev's know of the issue as it was brought up in preview and said they are looking on how to fix it. At the moment they work like your professions supplies and assets.

    Might be a bit inconvenient but then again I doubt anyone like to open 1 lockbox key on each toon.... that's some peculiar habits there!

    The issue still remains that strongbox keys can no longer be shared unless you want to give away the stack... There is currently no way to separate a stack...

    This is not useful for guild leaders that wish to send a small quantity of unbound strongbox keys to their players with strongboxes for a resource your SH requires. Even if you totally trust them to return the unused portion, it's just not a great system.

    Related issue, we keep a stack of strongbox keys in the guild coffer, to share around as needed. These are completely stuck in the guild coffer, can not be removed, split or interacted with in any way.

    I really don't understand why they didn't just copy code from the Crafting Resources tab... then we'd at least be able to organise our useful items, and we'd be able to split stacks.

    Was repurposing the Crafting Tab just not possible... because as a coder myself I really don't understand why existing code wouldn't have been reused instead of writing new code from scratch! :(

    Hopefully they fix this issue so we can organise the useful items tab like we can the crafting tabs, including splitting stacks... sadly, a really good idea, but a half-baked implementation! :disappointed:

    It uses code from the currency tab, which expands to fit how much stuff is in it (up to a very high limit), but never has open space you can use for splitting stacks.

    Well, the currency tab code was a terrible choice then... it should have been the crafting tab instead. It's not like the items going into the new useful items tab are actually currency. If they were going to go and flag all the items in the database anyways as being a "useful item", then why not use code from a considerably better source... the crafting resource tabs instead.

    We would have been so much better off... space to organise our stuff, space to split stacks, just better overall.

    Ah well, hopefully somebody "fixes" the issues without breaking the currency tab or something else! ;)

    And if you had any in your shared bank you can no longer get them out. :/

    Things like this really make me wonder just what the QA department does! :disappointed:

    You can not split the keys anymore meaning if you want say legendary keys on each toon to run a dungeon you have to buy them from the Zen market or constantly mail them around.

    They only use the preview shard and feedback to see which bugs/changes they can implement into the full game to exploit their player base.
