BUG? Random Underdark BtA rings became BtC after doing nothing

Title.
These days i found that some of my rings (+4 and +5) on some of my alters became BtC!!! WTF?! Haven't moved them, changed or whatever since months!! All of them where BtA and even i moved them from one toon to another with ease. No reinforcements, nothing. While i still need these rings on these chars, i don't want BtA stuff become BtC from one day to another without doing nothing. Anyone with similar prob?

    Did you slot BtC enchants in them? Like ones from Cryptic's module giveaway packs.

    That is the only reason I can think of for this to happen. :/

    Yes, i used them, dunno where :O Don't tell me those HAMSTER enchants i didnt salvage were the prob? :neutral:

    EDIT: yes, found one in a BtC now ring. Fk you Craptic! Fkin BtC enchant. Shove them when the sun dont shine next time.

    EDIT2: many thx, beck ;) Not only ring, but I found BtA Drowcraft item became BtC too, and i didnt use any transmute.

    Ok, tried in preview. To sum up: a BtA/BtC enchant will make any item where you slot this enchant BtA/BrC respectively, just after slotting, before you even equip it! I know most of the items are BtC but quite honestly, this sux.

    Hm, didn't know that overload stuff will do that :sweat: Many thx for the info, bat. While this, IMHO, sux too (as with BtC enchantments), a BtA item that can be used only by a specific toon... well, not much of a prob if it's BtC. At least some sort of warning or something.

    Slotting a character-bound enchant into gear binds the gear to character. It doesn't warn.

    Slotting overload enchants warns you that it will bind the enchant, but the bound overload enchant will simultaneously bind the gear without warning. Basically, if you want to use overloads, you need to be prepared for all your bracers and helms to be BtC.

    Sorry about your rings. That bites.
