i feel like robbed. I finally had solid pvp and now i have nothing again. but this time i will not waiting many months so see another antitrollmade measure. better evaluate quickly and place solo que back in the game asap
They followed the soloqueue with a 2x glory weekend--so now we get 2x pre=mades to double the injury.

Leaving boons and mounts in will lead to the end of PVP. No queue is going to make things fair and skill v skill with them still in it. The richest guild will dominate and the rest will just be farmed. Of course farmers see nothing wrong with PVP....
I would say TeamSpeak, which many of the pre-mades use, is equal to boons and mounts together. Pug groups, by their very nature, are not able to take advantage of this mechanic. Pre-mades are able to pass information much faster and regroup on a dime.
Anyone can get in a guild. If you have trouble getting in a quild you are asking the wrong guilds for membership. Check Graycloaks, BlackCloaks, WinorLose, and others.
I think TeamSpeak is a good thing, generally, but not for pug pvp.
Yes anyone with high lifesteal and endless can regen health, my point was that the tr class has no innate survivability beyond stealth and itc... both which dont actually heal. anyway back to the point, there will never be a "barebones" pvp. the reasoning is simple, how barebones should it be. no enchants? no boons? mounts? etc etc everyone wouldnt agree on an exact set of items because different classes need specific things to help them. pvp in every game has always been about the best gear. in shooters its guns, perks, killstreaks here its boons, mounts, enchants. last thing ill say since the event did end: make pvp have a minimum item level based on current level. so for 70s pvp make it like 3k? idk the number, but i know itd definitely help more than hurt.
No need to make a video about GG, we regularly stomp at the weekends there with a 10men premade, while me and some others farm NPC
And why you think I use "pugs" as insult and devaluation? It describes a player who "picks up a group" - so yeah, I am a pug too when I solo Q.
Cheers.
Which is why GG almost does not pop anymore, which is a FACT. You form 10 men premades in the week end to "stomp". This again says a lot about you and players like you. You want to "stomp". Premades stomping GG is the reason why people stopped playing it. Domination is played only for dailies.
Ask the devs to remove the PvP RAD dailies and you'll see how fast only you and your e-peen friends will be left alone playing PvP.
On a side note: PvP is back to HAMSTER 4k premades farming pick up groups. And it's back to being boring and not worth playing. The difference with solo queue is massive and again, we can see how PvP guilds enjoy forming troll comp premades and high geared premades to just get easy victories. No need to buy the "we look for other premades" excuse anymore.
Hope solo queue is implemented permanently as fast as possible.

And watch how 4k IL PvE players complains about being killed by a 3k IL PvP player as i watched on SoloQ event...
Cryptic made a choice, which was to make PvP and PvE like two different worlds. Now, all players need to do is get informed and learn about PvP gear and PvP builds.
What you can correct that easily, instead, is the great damage that wild west queue mode brings to PvP. To be clear: during solo queue event you could still see iLvL difference and balance issues, but teams were formed in a way where there was rarely an insta-gg match. The losing team could always fight, every player could cap without the need to beg for points. It's a FACT the the majority of players enjoyed it. It's also a FACT that right after the end of the event, PvP got back to a WORSE situation where partial-premades turn 9 games out of 10 in a no-contest, insta-gg stomp.
Pointing out the remaining flaws in the game does not take not even 1 bit away from the FACT that solo queue is 1000x better than the mixed queue where premades just run wild and stomp everything that is not another premade.
So, was solo queue way better than mixed queue, and made PvP a bit more fair? YES.
Then stop blabbering against it and go write some other feedback instead of writing against the very first thing that made a step towards a more fair PvP experience.
For example, other feedback:
divide PvP not by iLvL brackets but more like TENACITY brackets, cause that stat is what makes the next massive difference after premades. So players should also be divided in tenacity brackets. Plus, introduce a minimum amount of tenacity to enter a PvP match. To be clear: it takes 0 effort, if you want to casual PvP, to get helm, graves and boots with tenacity and a random rank 7 dark. Then switch those parts when doing PvP. Gives at least the basic amount of tenacity to enter the lowest bracket.
While solo queue and the above suggestion do not make all players equal, they at least alleviate the differences enough to ensure that a match is not turned into an insta-gg, and the losing team can put up some fight. Which means, the losing team can still have fun and get the reward without begging for it.
There is no reason to be against these suggestions.
- While it's true, another big truth is this: in a match where you have 2 or 4 players with no tenacity, with solo queue you have a BIGGER chance to have them equally splitted, while with mixed queue you have a 90% chance to have them ALL in your pug team while the other team is formed by fully geared PvPers
- see above
- While it might be true, i noticed this: 2 games in a row i met the same 3 toons together. 3rd match they were separated. We do not know how the algorythm works. You make assumptions. What we DO KNOW is that with solo queue the players, overall, noticed that the matches were more fair. What we also DO KNOW is that right now, mixed queue means that 90% of the time the matches end up in a no-contest because one team has at least a 3 or 4 mean partial premade, or a 5-men premade of an alliance. And here is the point: having friends playing PvP together and, SUPPOSEDLY, being put together by matchmaking, is LESS LIKELY than a FULL ALLIANCE of MULTIPLE GUILDS and hundreds of non-friend players, available to preform a team.
You might be the one not reading well. You didn't answer to my point. Or, better, you tried but with invalid arguments. What i talk about is a simple fact: no matter how flawed the matchmaking is, it's still MORE FAIR THAN THE CURRENT PREMADE-ISH STOMPING MIXED QUEUE. And in FACT, most players, myself included, found the solo queue overall more fair. Cause IT WAS MORE FAIR THAN A MIXED QUEUE WHERE 90% OF THE TIME YOUR ENEMY IS A PARTIAL OR FULL PREMADE TEAM.
When you wrote point 3 you didn't answer to my point (solo queue being more fair than mixed overall). You just pointed out that in your opinion solo queue was still not fully fair. But you didn't compare it to mixed queue cause you know that mixed queue is WAY LESS FAIR. I'd say in mixed queue you have a 90%+ of chance to get a no-contest match (depending on time zone), while in solo queue you have a 50% chance. Also: another FACT is that a "no-contest" in current mixed queue means that the pug team does not get to kill a single enemy or cap a single point unless the premade allows that. In solo queue, instead, 90% of the "one-sided" matches still allowed the losing team to fight back, kill some enemies and get to cap to reward without begging with a "gg".
It's a HUGE difference. A player gets frustrated when he/she cannot even fight back. Losing while being able to kill the enemies and cap on your own makes a big difference.
Which means my argument is still valid: solo queue > mixed queue when it comes to balance.

Which means my argument is still valid: solo queue > mixed queue when it comes to balance.
1 - Your chances are the same as being part of a "premade" . Some of us have "wasted" some of our free time to "test" the algorymth, check how it could work and seems like it tends to "gather" players known to each other (seems like "ignore list" and "private channels" also count here too) in the match and then divide them into teams. What the "algorymth" should do, to be as effective as you want, is "ignore" players in any of your lists at all and check it by your IL. For now, in SoloQ, GG and Dom Ques, i got paired even 3 times in a row with the very same players. (Which i hate the most, as a side note, is that when i lose a match "thanks" to undergeared pugs, they are not put on my enemy team on my next match... that would make a lot of PvP players get hard disstressed [it's really frustrating lose a match thanks to them]) . BTW, something in your argument is a bit off from the moment that we all saw even 3 players from the same guild (absolute, EoA, Legende obscure among others) teamed up on the same team while SoloQin... and, don't know why, i'm almost sure that you saw the very same thing as i did too, am i wrong?
2 - read above plus this: And, again, a 2k player vs 4k player is a HUGE difference, and that "difference" has nothing to do with premades, like it or not. Another matter too, which you ignored, is the fact that not all teams are "equally paired": how many times have you saw 2 DC on the same team and 0 on yours? Because i had 3 matches in a row watching that with different "XX class set ups" (this is, in example, pug DCs, not premade DCs) . Also, even among 4k players, and not counting here "extras" like SH boon ranks, in example; the difference between classes is huge: You can't compare a 4k TR sab with a 4k HR combat.
3 - Well, as i said on my last post, it was thanks to the grown on the PvP population during the event, which is translated as "more undergeared players are around PvP"; but what i saw there is the very same disparty as i do see on normal Q and other Qs... but seems that, for you, the disparity is on the "end-game gear" players on the same team when, in fact, the problem comes on newcomers on PvP wearing PvE green artifact gear at all. As i said, you can blame and curse all you want to "premades" that good geared but non premade players can hold their own ground against them while undergeared players, even on premade teams, will die at 2nd rotation and this is the main problem on PvP: gear gap, not "premades".
4 - Yes, thats correct, but you're blaming on "premades" instead of "undergeared players". Let's make an interesting challenge and test here: Lets gather 10 BiS players on test server any day of the week, not SH boons at all for any of them. 5 of them will team up while the other 5 will stay unteamed, Q them all at the same time on Dom and what the match, let's see what happends there, besides that all your babbling will crumble into pieces. And, after this fight at, let's say, the best of 5, lets gather a premade and nongeared team vs 3 random but geared players at all, let's see what happends here too.
As a side note, Pando, i will tell you a thing: sometimes, is not necessary to type the "feedback" explicit when, for a good reader, the "feedback" is implicit but as seems like you want "explicit" feedback, here i come:
- You can have SoloQ if you want because you think that it's a good solution (and it can be, ofc, i don't deny this at all) but, sadly, the problem with "gear gap" will still exists and will take a lot of "effort" (i say 3 days max after SoloQ's release. XD) to start noticing that undergeared players are the problem, not premades.
MANY TIMES it match me against my friend list is just random( for the friend list scenario)

this is how pvp looks for pugs, some premades dont even let us to take the 600 points, most of the matches are a continue 7 mins wasted in the camfire:

I think most of us true solo players know that scenario on the picture all to well.
PVP definitely got worse since the end of Solo Event. Many PVP guilds, who didn't participate in solo are now catching back on PUGstumping.
Actually many PVP guild members were afraid to try their metal solo, they can only run inside a secure premade or in an ugly trollmade.
Still i am happy for one thing, namely 2+ years ago, when i and many said, most are out for easy PUG stumping many said boo, now all can see the big picture, the curtains are lifted, no more masking the truth.
When or if at all we see Solo Q permanently come back will be decided by the suits, when they have a clear picture, whether it is profitable to let the masses into PVP or keep only few PUGstumpers around, that's the only data analyzing which is being done.
I keep my fingers crossed, that at the end common sense prevails, but i am not holding my breath, just call me pessimistic.

it was already decided, just see livestream. although mimic king stated solo que was very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very great event, it wont go back anytime soon. not this year, maybe one day next year, but got knows when. they are just stuck on finding new class balance dev and everything is postponed due to that. they will just monitor solo and future duo events numbers and pugstomping.
Jesus, really..? I give up. Implementing Solo Q is obviously easy, didn't require a massive patch, brought so much enjoyment and activity back into pvp... And what, a yearly thing..?
I pvp'd, and enjoyed pvp in that week more than I had in probably 6 months. Not bringing back Solo Q options permanently is just straight up stupid, sorry, but I can't find any more diplomatic way to put it.
No idea what my toon is now.

what he said directly:
solo event was great
there will be duo event
we dont find new class balance dev yet, so new class balance patch will be next year
until we have class balance finished, pvp cant be great (my translations - dont expect anything meaningfull until its done)

agree, at the end, that solo event was the worst, what can happen. they let us taste for a week and then removed it for eternity. is it some social experiments company in undercover or what....

cryptic - another removed fun.
Clearly they decided a few players that open endless lockboxes for this week's flavor "legendary mount" more than makes up for the masses of people who would like to play PVP and might spend a few bucks here and there. Clearly this isn't just a game.... @panderus@mimicking#6533
This is the kind of decision-making that leads to the low opinions many have.
To be honest with you all here i am not watching live streams, not anymore, at least not since Mod 6 and afterwards. I simply had enough from the show, i like pure facts and honesty, let those have show, who like it. In RL i don't watch shows either, why should i do it here.

I understand all your points and your talk about gear difference, but my point is far more simple: solo queue IMPROVED PvP experience for pretty much 99% of the players. You can read it in this thread too.
You talk about your experience. My experience is that i was against one of the guys in my friend list 2 times today. In a row. My experience is that in numbers during solo queue event i got at least 90% of the matches where the losing team could fight, and at least a 30% of matches were head to head or a fair battle at least. After solo event and in the months before, the experience is, on the other hand, a sad 90% of matches ending up in a "no-contest" vs partial premades of 4k toons, where the losing team is composed of 2.5k "undergeared players". This NEVER happened to me during solo event. Not even a single match of 4k team vs 2k team.
Solo queue even showed that taking premades away from current "low-population" PvP is indeed a huge improvement in the experience, for most players. Today i got to play 5 matches before i could get a win, because 4 of them were against the usual partial premades from PvP guilds and alliances, ending up in a "no-contest".
It's a simple fact: PvP during solo queue event was a FAR BETTER EXPERIENCE for 99% of the players. I don't need other arguments about the advantages of a solo queue.
Real balance is another issue and could easily be mitigated implementing "tenacity stat" brackets together with solo queue. There you have a HUUUUGE improvement in the PvP experience.
Which is enough while waiting for craptic to truly balance all classes, and light years better than current mixed queue "premadeland" HAMSTER.
Solo queue was a good first step, but as usual it looks like cryptic is trolling the PvP community. And the reason is simple: they NEED PvP guild premades to stomp solo players, because that frustration is what could potentially push those players to buy zen. This is the simple explanation behind the "solo queue is a yearly event" HAMSTER.

I think TeamSpeak is a good thing, generally, but not for pug pvp.
All good points but miss the issue altogether ,you cant get into a rank 20 guild they are always full, even solo que will fail simply becuase of the mismatched stats. a solo que from a rank 20 guild has up to 8k aditional stats from guild boon vs someone from no guild, and since boons do not count on youre item level there is no way to balance that in the current que system, Add epic and legendary mount stats mismatch and you have a huge disparity in stats . consider that an epic purple mount gives 2k stats thats more than a rank 12 enchant gives ,compared to a legendary mount that gives 4k stats...more than 2 x rank 12 enchants, then stack a legendary mount on a toon from a rank 20 guild and they could potentially have up to 20k more power,AR-pen,or defense etc than an equal item level toon that is not from a level 20 guild and only has maybe a blue mount! The item level WAS a good idea but was completely undermined by all the items that do not count on the item level, boons, mount powers ,mount insignia. most guilds have given up pushing for higher levels, and let members contribute randomly or not at all even within alliances the strongholds are not progressing, the top level guilds are always full and lower rank guilds are bored with the grind trying to get up levels. The end result is pvp is usually a blowout match even solo que was a fail due to the mismatched stats on each team.normal pvp is usually premades from high rank guilds stomping the pub teams. Solo que was the same toons from high rank guilds stomping the solo pub players.
Comunication plays its part for sure solo que wont change that ,but solo que wont change the mismatched toons either as i found with my 4k GWF ,in solo que i got matched with players that had blue mounts and not in a guild VS 5 players from r20 guilds ...3 of whom also used legendary mounts. Why? because the item levels were very similiar, but stats however were far from balanced ...the team with leg mounts and r20 guild boons stomped us cause they have way higher stats and therefore way more dps.

Here we are, unique, eternal aspects of consciousness with an infinity of potential, and we have allowed ourselves to become an unthinking, unquestioning blob of conformity and uniformity. A herd. Once we concede to the herd mentality, we can be controlled and directed by a tiny few. And we are.

I pvp'd, and enjoyed pvp in that week more than I had in probably 6 months. Not bringing back Solo Q options permanently is just straight up stupid, sorry, but I can't find any more diplomatic way to put it.
solo event was great
there will be duo event
we dont find new class balance dev yet, so new class balance patch will be next year
until we have class balance finished, pvp cant be great (my translations - dont expect anything meaningfull until its done)

i really wish he came here and made some corrections and say more directly about things, especially solo que
@mimicking#6533 , @panderus, @strumslinger
Clearly they decided a few players that open endless lockboxes for this week's flavor "legendary mount" more than makes up for the masses of people who would like to play PVP and might spend a few bucks here and there. Clearly this isn't just a game.... @panderus @mimicking#6533

This is the simple explanation behind the "solo queue is a yearly event" HAMSTER.
a solo que from a rank 20 guild has up to 8k aditional stats from guild boon vs someone from no guild, and since boons do not count on youre item level there is no way to balance that in the current que system,
Add epic and legendary mount stats mismatch and you have a huge disparity in stats .
consider that an epic purple mount gives 2k stats thats more than a rank 12 enchant gives ,compared to a legendary mount that gives 4k stats...more than 2 x rank 12 enchants,
then stack a legendary mount on a toon from a rank 20 guild and they could potentially have up to 20k more power,AR-pen,or defense etc than an equal item level toon that is not from a level 20 guild and only has maybe a blue mount!
Why? because the item levels were very similiar, but stats however were far from balanced ...the team with leg mounts and r20 guild boons stomped us cause they have way higher stats and therefore way more dps.
great... now i'm hungry 0,o
