about 1 in 3 maybe 1 in 4 nodes gives nothing. you click on the node, a kit is used, you get the success msg, but no window opens.
Anyone else having this problem, or am i the only one left that opens nodes?

Then again...resource nodes are pretty much pointless. You get random profession resources (which you don't need as professions are pointless) or random BtC insignia which are useless after you have collected the 15 you need.
I'd like to reiterate that nodes with nothing replacing the removed refinement items are infuriating. I'm still looting them to add to my insignia collection, but I feel angry (mild anger, but it's still anger) every time I break 9 silver worth of kits and get nothing but an item that sells for 6 silver. This is exactly what used to upset us about people who left the junk behind in the node after taking the refinement, when node loot wasn't individual, and now the game does it to us by design. I can loot a skill node in Black Lake and get a local map and a handful of other common resources. If I get a local map in a skill node in Dread Ring, that's the only thing that node will drop (unless it had an insignia). Nodes should not feel less rewarding the higher the area you're in. It is, in a word, bullspit.
My rough analysis of the satisfactory skill nodes is that they choose twice from possible outcomes of 2 common resources/1 uncommon resource/1 treasure item.There's also some kind of limiter in place that prevents them from dropping 2 treasures. If this were applied to all the skill nodes, that would be fine. I use the crafting stuff. I never used to mind breaking a few kits as long as I came away from it with a reasonable quantity of ore and pelts and stuff. The quantity of resources given by the nerfed nodes simply does not feel reasonable.
Piggybacking yet another issue on this thread, I noticed yesterday that most (but not all) of the chests in zones you get sent to for the Benign Order quests can't be interacted with. The nature node between the Tower District's second campfire and the Merchant's Guild Hall is uninteractible, and there are others I'm less sure of. My route takes me past this node when doing Big Trouble in Neverwinter, so I've verified it many, many times. Off the top of my head, only 1 in 4 Tower chests was possible to loot. I didn't visit the ones in Blackdagger that would have required detouring, but none of the ones in the Keep or on the way were available.
