Their is no point, they are being nerfed to hell on mod 10. The bubble duration is being decreased from 20 seconds down to 6 seconds and the damage reduction is being decreased from 80% to 50%. I wouldn't waste my time, effort, or resources at this point to make a perma bubble Paladin that will only be viable for a few months.
True, there are some Nerfs coming. But you can still check out the builds in the Paladin Class section. Also look at the PC Class section for Paladins - Fabricant / Sharpedge has a compendium of lots of info
I love the idea of the Pally class, I`m actually looking forward to the Nerf as making your team invincible for sooooo long does suck the life out of the game and make players lazy.
After the Nerf to DC and Pally I`m really looking forward to a bit of tactical thinking again and forming decent groups for runs. Whether this "fix" will make things better or worse is yet to be seen.
After the Nerf I`m actually thinking of playing my Pally as he just does not appeal to me at the moment. My fav class to run with my main HR is a GF, so after the Nerf I`m pretty sure a Pally is going to be right up there with a GF as my fav.
I`m also looking forward to DC's actually healing again, so many I see just focus on Haste but as a HR I have no need of that at all lol. Hopefully will see some more healing and tactical thinking there.

I agree, I am looking forward to the changes which will cause the overpowered npc to one shot the whole party and the new players to be unable to complete the epic content. The minimal increase in healing is not going to compensate for the losses. Congrats to the pvp players who have complained about the overpowered bubble pally. I want to see them complete the epic dungeons without the bubbles now.

And here lies the problem people... A person who believes a Dungeon is not complete-able without a Pally lol. They have always been doable with a little effort and a good team set up. Heck there are even people out there who can solo every Epic Dungeon including the ones Xbox has not even got yet.
Having a Pally should make it easier and more tactical, it should not just be able to make everyone invincible forever.
I have played the game for a whole year and only got into PvP the last few weeks. It is very enjoyable and very much part of the game so you will have to just get over it if you chose not to play it. Anyhoo when 1 team has a DC/Pally combo and the other has not it becomes just a joke to play.
Also the imbalance is horrendous, so many times teams just sit at the Campfire as they have no chance at all. A couple of times I have had to fight just me or 2 vs 5 which is pretty pathetic. I`m obviously on about PUG's here which I run 90% of the time.
These changes will improve both PvE and PvP in my opinion.

Unfortunately most dungeons are random folks. Before pallies there was the constant booting to get the "right" person to complete the content. Yes you can complete dungeons without pallies but not with randoms or with the overpowered npc. Sure a guild can do it but many guilds are decimated due to people leaving the game thanks coal gate.
You response validates my point that the problem is being felt by pvp players. In order to get new players to be able to survive and improve their toons they need to be able to complete content. Nerfing has never been an answer and it won't be the answer since there multiple unintended results from this poor decision that will become apparent when it is too late to reverse them.

Note that there are going to be significant changes to the Paladin, probably a few weeks after Mod 9 drops.
I have played a Protection Paladin since Day 1. I have built a fairly strong toon. I am looking forward to the changes, because it will be more of a challenge. And, hopefully, there will be less animosity / hatred directed to the OP class. I believe there will be a place for the Paladin, it may just take some more experimenting to get a good build.
The OP can be a fun class but boy the grind is real. At least you won't get nuked the way other classes do.
I didn't think the Perma bubble was a bad thing at all or even the haste. I'm a GWF for my main so haste made no difference to me either but when you are a new player or have an alt up and coming you would hope you would get a good bubble haste to help you through content allowing you to acquire seals without the frustration of getting nuked on a regular bases especially when pugs at times is the only option.
I figure if people wanted a challenge then set your group up for that. You could always find like minded people for those things. I don't understand getting joy out of what will be frustrating for others in the future if it does happen as written. All the nerf will do is frustrate new players coming in, especially if they don't know anyone. I care about the economy, I enjoy this game, and I want to see it progress and grow. The division has took a lot of people (I did not like it). It's meant to be a game and enjoyed as such.
My gwf get's a nerf next mod and I know there is a legion of people who will get joy out of that also. If it were any worse I could just hear (ha ha ha guess you actually have to strategize now don't you gwf!!!). Those elitist types.....smh.

I run dungeons both with friends and randoms without bubble so I totally disagree with you. I agree with randoms it may be harder but then again when it happens it's usually because one's teammates are guys used to run with bubble aka they don't know how to play (dodging, enemies' attack patterns, etc).
Nerfing the bubble is a poor decision? Why? What is so bad about about actually needing to know how to play in order to complete dungeons? What is so bad about not being almost invincible? Bubble nerf will only upset players that either:
- Spent a lot of time and money making their god mode permabubbledin. - Need or like to get carried through epic content regardless of their gearscore and stats.
Bubbledin has done a lot of damage to neverwinter's community by turning a large portion of the playerbase into lazy, mediocre guys... they usually quit dungeons without even trying if they see there's no bubble around. That needs to change and hopefully the nerfs will help Neverwinter to take a step into the right direction.
By the way, what do you mean by "overpowered npc"? Do you mean bosses? If so:
There you have it, Ethraniev Marrowslake, the hardest and strongest dungeon boss out of the ones we have available so far on xbox one, and we beat her without bubble and haste. Mind you, my gearscore is below 2200 and I'm the guardian fighter in that video.
The OP can be a fun class but boy the grind is real. At least you won't get nuked the way other classes do.

Tc and have fun.
Try building a tank guardian fighter or a non haste cleric, get it to 70, get into epic content and then please come back to this forum and tell us how often do you find like-minded players who want to run without bubble. By doing what I'm suggesting you, you'll see how much damage the easy mode bubble has done to this community. I'm sick of joining dungeons with any of my toons and seeing people quiting without even trying justbecause there's no bubble paladin in the group.
As for gwfs, they really need a nerf, it's just not normal nor fair that they smoke all the other dps in every single dungeon and skirmish.
You seem to have a lot of animosity toward bubbles, assume I have not already been down these roads, and assume that almost everyone who likes the bubble is lazy or does not know their class because they are "being carried". Stay with your guild that supports you and run your kind of content or bring up other classes and adapt to change.
I do have a gf and my main was a cw (speaking of nerfs). I built a op and a gwf and adapted. I will adapt as the mods change as this is the nature of mmo's. Why would this game make you sick? I may get upset (wards/rubies after earning enough ad to convert to a ton of zen for the vip) but I won't hold resentment towards a game because things did not go my way this time (character wise), and congrats your time is around the corner. I want the community to grow and not have newbies come in and feel overwhelmed (have you ever purely grinded without the aid of anything or knowing anyone?) because somebody was sick of an easy mode.
Sorry you feel as though you wasted time on those toons but call me crazy. I'm just going to guess that most people on here have had that happen to them. Sure your video helped the op a lot.
Tc and be glad we get to even play and complain about nothing......try to have fun.

That is not correct. DC's add haste with heals, not heal with haste, those are not the same thing.
A righteous or a faithful cleric can add some haste with 15 points in Virtuous and not all the heals will be HoT. Only in Virtuous and only with the capstone are all direct heals changed to HoT.

I meant I'm sick of people's mediocrity and cowardness as many of them just don't even try running a dungeon if there's no bubble around. Yes, people who like to run bubbles love to get carried, you can tell by how clueless they are when there's no bubble in the party... a big red circle? They just stand there and wonder why they die. Mindlessly attacking groups of enemies just to get overwhelmed and die? I'm looking at you random gwfs (not all though).
What? Man, I run with randoms more than I do with guildies or friends. I do have other classes, too, almost all of them but of course I don't run most of them anymore since I running a guardian fighter or healer is a lot more fun to. Adapt to change? We all do that, and I just can't way to see those chances making their way to the xbox version and pc too, it surely will annoy a lot of people who is used to use god mode bubble or flat out being carried by it. How can I not dislike the bubble? It's the prime example of mediocrity, it turns dps and cleric guys into lazy and coward players who quit when their precious bubble is not in the party. When I'm on my cleric I love to try giving it a try to whatever group I end up with.
You want the community to grow? It will hardly ever do in any significant way if there's a bubble babysiting them 24/7 simply because they won't learn to play. I will still run my toons, I will experiment with them if any changes arrive for them, now that's adapting. I'm sorry man, but, at least in my opinion, what you did isn't adapting, you just started 2 of the most overpowered classes at the moment. If they get nerfed hard, will you build the next strongest classes and then will you call adapting too? Adapting means making changes to your toon so it can keep being good and viable after game changes, changing your characters with new op ones is joining the crowd. I love how you didn't comment about tank gf's and pure healer's dc lower dps compared to paladin, by the way.
Uh? I never quoted the original poster when I shared my video, the person I replied to was exaggerating so I wanted to prove him wrong, so, why do you even mention the op? I never addressed him in any way, shape or form. So far you asumed that I'm sick at the game, that I feel like I wasted my time building my toons, that I depend on my guild, that I need to adapt when is you the one who doesn't even try but just starts a different, overpowered-at-the-moment-class. You should either read more carefully or just not making things up, letting your imagination fly when you reply to someone.
Man, my ranger and my cleric got instakilled in epic content more times than I could count, I learned to play the hard way and thanks to that I'm a decent player. When doing my first elol and shores runs I absolutely never quit a match when there was a guardian fighter around instead of a bubbledin, I asked random people about stuff related to the bosses/stronger mobs and tried to use that to improve as a player. Why don't the new players do that as well? Because they don't need nor want to, bubble carries them.
Sloth, you've never set foot in a T2 dungeon, you have no experience of what people are referring to...

That's ok. It is important to be clear when considering the changes. Healing will become more important than haste when those changes hit. A Cleric that can do both well will be unlikely. I believe in the next meta, the faithful cleric with 15 points in Virtuous for some haste will be the most requested type for dungeons. It will have superior healing that isn't wasted by overhealing due to gifts and with the changes may even match the haste generation of a full virtuous.

Not sure why you thought I assumed things as I simply gave you my opinion on my reply but I do agree, it's better to stop replying each other at least on this thread. I wasn't trying to make any commentary on upcoming changes. just responding to the person who was complaining about how dc's do no healing now. they do. maybe not full heal but they are indeed applying heal.
that said though.. I'm holding off doing any respeccing on my dc until the dust has fully settled. ditto with my pally. I'm just not going to play them for a couple weeks after the nerfs until everyone has decided what's working now. Glad I found out about all this before I buffed up my pal too much. he was going to be the focus of this next 2x xp for me. I was going to take his artis to mythic.. so for once i am grateful to arc for communicating the nerf fully in advance at least. LOL.
The problem with going full heal is if you still want haste then you can't choose the tier 6 capstone on Faithful as (if I understand it correctly) it puts the HoT values straight into the 'heal bank' of Gift of Faith.
GoF is such a powerful skill for dealing with sudden health loss that I'd hate to lose it - somebody please correct me if I'm wrong & haste will still activate.
The other small problem with going Faithful with points in Virtuous is we'd lose the 10% Righteous power boost we currently give to team members.
I guess the question for other classes is "would you rather have an additional 1% (per second) AP gain or 2k Power?

How is that a complaint? It is a personal observation and from what DC's have told me in the past.

Tc and have fun.

As for gwfs, they really need a nerf, it's just not normal nor fair that they smoke all the other dps in every single dungeon and skirmish.
Dc's heal with haste though. all haste is heal over time. that's what triggers it.
^this
A righteous or a faithful cleric can add some haste with 15 points in Virtuous and not all the heals will be HoT. Only in Virtuous and only with the capstone are all direct heals changed to HoT.

LOL.

Where in my post do you think I am complaining?
Here are my exact words again "I`m also looking forward to DC's actually healing again, so many I see just focus on Haste but as a HR I have no need of that at all lol. Hopefully will see some more healing and tactical thinking there."
How is that a complaint? It is a personal observation and from what DC's have told me in the past.
