Imbalance of AD spend in Boons for each zone

krailovkrailov Member Posts: 302 Arc User
Sorry if this has been touched on before, but there is still a serious imbalance in AD costs in ranking up boons between the mods. The Dread Ring requires 2K AD at EVERY step, it costs 30K AD to get into Dwarven Valley, there is NO AD requirement for Demonic, etc, etc.
I understand that to change the fundamental "cost" of the boons might be too hard, but is it really that hard to adjust the AD required to a lower quantity, and equalise it amongst the zones? I am currently NOT advancing some of my toons due to AD cost - is that what is really intended? No Dwarven Valley for them! I think the AD nerf has been around long enough that you can now adjust these AD sinks, or preferably, remove them completely - there are plenty of other items that absorb AD still...

Might is not always right - the powerful sometimes forget that.

In Module 9, the AD costs are being removed. Check out the Preview forum patchnotes.

Just did, and very happy with the AD removal! I generally stay away from preview so I can experience the new mods 'clean', if that makes sense - ie, as a new player would. Something like the AD removal I would have expected to have been in the general pre-announcements, but maybe they will say something soon :)

Maybe there'll be a blog post about it, but maybe not, as they've got a lot of things to write up. I've often updated my guild's daily message or sent mail to inform players about crucial patch changes, even ones that are a long way off.

Even if you're trying to avoid actual module spoilers (understandable!), reading the build patches is good info. Terramak's sticky patch compendium for Maze Engine is super-handy because you don't need to try to remember which build first floated what changes.
