It is no secret to MOST players that the "Weapon of water" which is farmable in Drowned Shore Area is by far the best one for PVP, therefore all instances are FULL and every HE lasts for 10sec literally.
I can't even switch instances and keep up with how fast players finish the HE, by the time I reach the place it's already over and I can't switch instances because of cooldown.
You need to get 100x drops farming like that.........please look into this.
Please.... fix .... this.... make this thing spawn every 30 seconds.... it is a very very simple issue... or remove the 2 minute switch instance timer please.. I have a full TS with people helping me. How in the heck does the average Joe make it to each instance on time, when by the time you read zone/type in it. The instance is full, and the crab is most likely dead already.
I know you guys figured with multiple weapons, different areas might be full... But as martian said, the water is the best for the majority of classes, and is heavily farmed. Either cut the number down to 50... or make being able to fight this darn crab easier.
Another fix would be making these drop every time from the other HE's, and then people would be able to farm the lesser HE's when they miss the crab, all of these would work or maybe just any one of these.
I know you can't test everything, but I really wish you would have thought ahead when it comes to this issue and how badly everyone wants to get this weapon..
Well the drow boons are pretty easy to get as far as the first 2. Who knows how the pugs will handle the raid as you have to be semi competent to do it. But after the 1st 4 boons, the last boon which takes double as long to get is completely worthless lol. So let them know the last boon is pointless, the new mount/pet are pointless, and the SH weapon is pointless unless you have a full 5 man group. The drow weps can be decent for some classes, but the elemental water and fire will reign supreme for sure. So i'd focus on that. But as far as getting ur SH gear, thre are plenty of SH's that will let you join to buy your gear, and go back to your own SH, same with wards. If you are interested find me in game Dom@Freshour
Or... you need 2 weapons on 1 char... depending on situations lol... I only pray they wake up and realize how much refinement things take lol.. I challenge any NW dev to dragonhoard/quest their RP to get 4 items legendary in less than a year. I bet a million dollars not a single one has or ever will do that.
The 100 mote system for farming these weapons is silly. The result is the system now is that players are farming the ONE giant crab HE over and over and over and its just a change instance monotonous crab kill frenzy. Once players are done and the farming slows it will be the opposite problem. - players cannot complete that HE solo and will likely struggle for 10 min+ to get 1 mote.
The drop rate should really be 100% for any of the HE in that zone and maybe chance to get 2+ mote from the largest HE. So most players blazed through new content and story in 30-60 min just to face 8-12 hours of absolutely monotonous repeated HE farming. Seems like a good design lol.
I kind of suspect part of the idea behind "100 motes" with NO other option not even p2w was to get players back playing and interaction in the mod6 zones? But if so lol that's not the way players work. Most people who want that weapon/OH will be done farming in the first week, will have hated doing it and felt it stupid, will be glad its over, and never go back.
Why can't they put 5 of those motes into every of those new chapter quests too? That would get the players to nearly half of what they have to gather, and it would be at least fun to do...
Once again if you are not in a BIG guild and have atleast 10 people doing it with teamspeak, you will never be able to catch up to the guild in how fast they switch instances, again the solo or small guilds are getting the shaft.

That is what we used to do, but during peak hours its to crowded and u wont be able to switch instances since they are all full. And to sit around and do nothing for 10 minutes, then kill a crab in 10 seconds, and repeat is not really playing the game, just a lot of timewasting and waiting. This is BORING!
It just goes to show that they didn't test it. Nor is a very big priority. That is why this thread is here so maybe they will read it and have a realization that it is a little too much just to get the weapon. Lets not even go into refining it haha. I'd say it should be 1-5 motes per crab. The small HE's are a for sure mote. Problem solved. Do it in 2-3 hours. Regardless it is better than doing the entire TOD campaign to get the drop (ridiculous) for alts.

Wouldn't have mattered if they had included the 10 man HEs too.
Leave it as-is, but add motes to other content, like dungeon chests or anything that requires a key to open. Got 2 motes and called it quits. Trying to keep up and change instances over and over just isn't fun. Getting the basic elemental stuff on many chars was annoying, but you could at least pick which tedious quests you'd repeat over and over and over. This is just... I can't even be arsed.

i just switch instance mindlessly and follow teammates then park at the spawn point and watch my movies while waiting for the crab to spawn. Finished 2 movies and 1anime yesterday. Got about 50 motes
Another issue here is the sort of unspoken underlying problem. One, maybe two weapons that are worth farming. Guys, 50% run speed for 2 seconds? I mean LOL seriously? Or 160 defense or 160 power... if you exchange blows at all (and you always will no matter what class you are) you will never build more than a couple of stacks before you've lost them again. These are not well thought out at all. The DR when you stand still is only going to be good for like maybe Pallies who just sit like a rock (but heals would be better). The AP gain one will depend on what the "chance" is to gain AP after a daily (guys why not be transparent here... just give us the flipping percent chance? Often that "chance" equates to 100% with a CD but it would be nice to know). These are just bad choices, there is a reason everyone is going for the Drowned weapons... because there are no other well thought out alternatives. Other than that +1 to everything else said here. Please quit trying to push reused content on us by forcing us to grind for new gear. all he's have a small chance of dropping them. the 15man versions are guarenteed. so you can spend time running around doing all the small ones and do several hundred he's and sstill not be done. or you can park at crabs and be done in 100 hes.
either way my 6yr nephew could have come up with a better method of obtaining these.
When we are done (and half or totally insane) farming the crabs, good luck to future players that need 100 motes and find there is almost no one at the HE's.

Is that not what it says? For my HR and SW, the Twisted look really good, like the rings I basically just read the bonuses and see the stacked stats/effects. If my DPS are getting hit, it's time to run until the tank can get their hands back on the aggro. If my OP is moving, it's because he's on the other side of that equation, so the Earth and the Fire weapons look pretty viable for him - until I tried to get motes. He can't move fast enough/the zerg-cluster-f eats up my GPU too much to get credit in the epic HEs and he has no luck (0 motes) or runs out of time soloing smaller HEs ('cause OPs can't hurt baddies much). Sooo... yeah, I see some real benefit to the EE weapons in certain PvE situations, but getting them isn't really viable/reasonable.

On the other hand they also read "-715 armor penetration" because Cryptic has some obsession with putting recovery on all the DPS gear.

You may be correct, if you are hitting entire mobs and they are rarely hitting you back then you may gain a lot of power. If you feel it is worth it or necessary to get 4k more power when doing PVE, because PVE end game is sooooo challenging and interesting, then you go right ahead and be happy with doing the same HE 100 times for said weapons. However, look at the number of people going for the drowned weapons (who aren't so concerned with the completely challenging and interesting end game PVE as you obviously are) and see more easily what I'm talking about. Besides, as I plainly said, there may be a couple of weapon sets people are going for but the majority of them are useless... That's also not to say some people won't get said useless sets...

They never listen lol. We have had the same useless armor and weapon enchants for a while now... 2-3 being useful the rest absolute trash... their solution? ADD MORE. Why not improve the ones with insane CD's that could otherwise be amazing? Why make us a do am HE 100x... and not a dungeon, or a difficult boss? No. Oh, lets do a skirm and have an instance of each one where it is basically impossible to get gold (do the throne one a few x and you'll find that prisoners don't want to be saved).
I understand, they have endless time to make new boring/repetitive content, but zero time to improve one the old content that wasn't very well thought out... You get some guy to write out a story line... make the mobs a joke, zero objective, zero difficulty, and zero reward ... oh nm I got a weapon to level 2 with that lol.
Dev's please up the HE rewards, and I heard the wind HE doesn't even work haha. Any comments on a fix for any of this? Or are you guys working on Mod 9 now?

Twisted weapons are bought from a vendor with ichor you get by playing the demogorgon raid (which you need to run 40 times).
Also lol @ the PvE sarcasm. Because Neverwinter PvP isn't thoroughly broken and inferior to basically every other third person competitive multiplayer game on the market.
