Springfield looks nice, but the Oberth is best forgotten.

Nova needs a Tier 6 first and foremost though.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Umm no.

More ships in game = good thing. If they sell said ship that = more money for Cryptic = game stays around longer. Not trying to come off sounding rude at all. Just saying that because you do not like it does not mean others dont like it. Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that.

There's already a thread on this!
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Nor do I. I'm not a huge fan of T5/6ing everything, as it levels all the ships where some should clearly be more powerful than others.

However I completely get why Cryptic do it, so that argument isn't relevant when discussing the merits of a T6 Oberth.

I really like the class too, even though it's definitely weird and not hugely in keeping with the Starfleet design aesthetic. So I'd be in favour of a T6 version.

    But I'd much rather a T6 Nova.

That looks like a saucer attached to a nacelle...
Now a LTS and loving it.

not a fan of either springfield nor freedom. I would like to see the Nova get her day, but I also want to see a T6 Vo'quv, a Romulan carrier, a Romulan D-7/k'tinga and the only damn canon ship not in the game, the K'vort

T6 Steamrunner? Anyone? They already did the new model for it, so why not? The Zephyr doesn't count....

    Why thank you.

    It's also not a ship I would want, I don't think.

A T6 Oberth would be the Pegasus class.

Nor me - it's pretty ugly in my opinion. So is most of the Wolff 329 fleet.

For a lot of fans though, if it's been on screen, it needs to be in game.

Now here is where I differ with those fans. Just because it's been onscreen does not mean it should be ingame. And my opinion is that ship should definitely not be ingame. The flying pizza cutter is bad enough, but at least it looks like a complete ship, only it's saucer is sideways lol.

Since they recycle Tobias Richter's work these days for the T6 ships you just have to look up which ships he has built already to know what comes next.

The Oberth is among them, btw. So are the Luna, Sovereign and Prometheus. I don't recall a Nova class though.

A dev shouldn't leave out a ship just because they themselves don't like it.

There are really very few voices in favor of a Tier 6 Golfball , err Olympic.

Well, of course, a spoon is not a cup of tea, but you can use the two together. [/confused]

While that is nice, the Nova class deserves a T6 long before the Oberth or Springfield class.

    Poor thing needs it
Deserves based on what? Based on screen appearances, the Oberth deserves it MUCH more.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

The Reason Why I suggested the Science Scout Vessel is Besacily what the Oberth Class IS So it can get a Tire 6 Treatment and I think its gonna get one in Age of Discovery its Either gonna be a T6 Oberth Class or Constellation Class Hell might even be one of the other Cannon Vessels of Worlf 359 But I hope they do Oberth through so many things they can do with it

Well I certainly don't want a T6 Oberth being ST:D based, I just want it given the same treatment that the original canon ships got when being updated to T6.

T6 vo'quv. Make Klingon carriers great again! :-)

Short of that, I don't know why they don't just give all T5 ships the T5U treatment. The process is mostly deterministic (+console, +hull, +bonus track, maybe something I forgot), so it's a trivial way to get a little more money and please us odd-balls who like a niche ship.

Yeah, almost definitely. Although you have to laugh at the odd naming convention that would name a class of ship after one particular ship with a questionable history.

USS Pegasus - famous for being the testbed for a failed, highly illegal, experiment which resulted in mutiny and subsequently the deaths of those who remained aboard her.

Yeah - that's a real legacy to be proud of! :p

cll it something else. there is a precedent: the USS Thresher. it was the lead submarine and the class was called the Thresher class sill she was lost then the class was referred to as the Permit Class.
