We’re very excited to announce the release of the Hestia Class Advanced Escort. This Tier 6 starship is based upon the original design of the Prometheus Class Multi-Vector Advanced Escort. Like other Tier 6 ships, it has been heavily upgraded to include a powerful new console, starship trait and a 2410 visual update.

    It looks nice :)

    The focus on plasma might make it a nice ship for my main space character who's using plasma weapons and the lobi plasma set... if I can still find an empty spot for the console, that is :lol:

    Yes, I'm aware that Hestia is a Greek goddess and not just from Danmachi. But that isn't going to stop me from poking fun at it. :p

    I have to be honest. I'm not at all surprised to see yet another FED ship. What happened to the KDF and Romulan ships. The Hestia ship is just another pass for me. What a waste creating yet one ship for one faction, but not one for the other two as well.

    Magnificient ship, polyvalent console (offensive + defensive + weapon power boost), and an interesting trait against hp-bag capital ships (i think that the console + the trait will be quite useful in tholian and borg red alerts).

    I have a question for the devs : will the devices like deployable turrets or scorpion fighters (that we can earn in "The Vault" mission) benefit from the Trait or are they considered as hangar pets ?

    Oooh, pretty - I had a good run with a multi-vector escort, the T6 looks interesting. Especially the trait for STF bosses.

    I hate to admit, but I have to agree with dragnridr on this one.
    It is a one helluva ship, no doubt
    but Romulans and especially KDF ships need some love.
    It will be great to have a T6 BOP. It will be great to see more BOPs in the game.

    Any chance that starship trait has some kind of alternate function in PvP? I can already see problems with that one, specially if a whole team is using it.

    I would love to see some trait at some point like:
    Vampire tactics - Drain boost
    Black hole physics - Grav gens boost
    Confucius expert - Cuntermesure systems boost

    I'ts very likely the Romulans will get a T6 Haakona... but as far as I know, there is no ship separation candidates among the KDF fleet, the closer they got was the Bortas BoP.
    It is funny, because the traditional niche for the KDF were Carriers, while the FED had the ship separation.

    Well, we might see a T6 KDF carrier with this...

    You indeed should not be surprised, considering this. Considering they are most certainly including all unplayed alts and dormant accounts, the money is on the Fed side, and a few more ships for the other two factions is not going to change that.

    YES, YES, YES........The Prometheus is my favorite ship.

    The patch to fix the separation console so it can be used without being dead in the water is live.

    Will we be getting commands for the "pets" ?

    What specializations will we get? Intel, Command, Pilot? I would prefer Intel

    Time for a ship sale :)

    Alas I doubt the Romulans will get that T6 Haakona. The Hestia was presented alone, not as part of a three pack. I put the odds of one of the other two getting a similar ship to be sharply reduced, except for the remote possibility of a surprise 3-pack on the Thursday.

    I'm concerned seeing the new skin and its got the mini nacelle popping out the top of the saucer. Does this mean Cryptic are making absolutely NO EFFORT to fix the mini nacelle skin glitch on the other models despite them jutting out the bottom of the saucer, clearly broken and not fitting the cannon look of the Prometheus seen in the shows?

    This should have been the time to fix it rather than peddle us a broken product. The mini nacelle glitch has been here over a year and looks terrible when you go to warp. It literally drops down out the bottom of my saucer during the animation.

    I agree that it is unlikely that we will be getting any other new ships this week or even in the couple before Season 11. With that said, lets just say I really, really wouldn't put money on your first prediction though. :*

    EDIT: Though after re-reading your post, I'm not sure if thats entirely what you meant. If you were just talking about this week not having more than one ship and not in general, then ignore my post. o:)

    I'm half decently sure of that. But as far as unique ships, as in a Klingon ship the Feds/Roms won't have, or a warbird that KDF/Fed won't have, I'm not betting on that. The other two get their versions when Feds get theirs, and sometimes, as in this case, not at all. :|

    We will see pretty soon. My bets are on the T6 Haakona being part of a new cross faction bundle in the very near future. Not this week, but soon.
