You have seen the description of the new Discovery Operations pack and the stats.
Will you buy it? This is just an honest poll and intent is to see how many of us are willing to spend money for it or not?

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
I bought the Europa because I liked the ship, so my Discovery captain is already set. He'll be the pirate twins again.
Let us explore it... together. Each man hides a secret pain. It must be exposed and reckoned with. It must be dragged from the darkness and forced into the light. Share your pain. Share your pain with me... and gain strength from the sharing.

Bring on Discovery season 2 and Age of Discovery.
So not likely.
Even with the 30% off sale when it first hits, making it 8400 Zen, that isn't enough incentive to get it either. A starting price around 7500 Zen (with the BOff's/pet made account wide), then the 30% off sale on top of that, I would buy it. Day one. If for some reason I was unable to get into the game while that sale was going, at 7500 Zen I would still buy it eventually, but I'd likely just save up my stipend for it.
Obviously, if they add more to the pack, the value would increase so my starting price would go up as well. Unless there were at least 2 more ships added to both Fed and KDF, 12k Zen is just simply too much. Shoot, the way the pack is now with the 1 per account BOff's and pet, they could make it 1 Zen I wouldn't get it as it would just encourage them to make more things single character unlocks in the future.
What happened to "The account is the player" mentality that was going around not too long ago?
Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.
And maybe the boffs for two characters, depending on what they offer.

Over priced garbage.
And no, it's not a Discovery thing. I love Discovery.. LOVE IT.. I just know a rip off when I see one.

I voted OTHER...
I will not buy anything Discovery related. I started watching it on Amazon. After the first few episodes, I stopped and I have had zero interest in continuing. It simply is not the Star Trek I grew up with. And the new Star Trek I would want, would need to CONTINUE the Star Trek I grew up with. No more prequels that try to reboot it.
So what would I buy? Actual gameplay content. Not new ships to run old content with. Not new uniforms to wear while running old content. I would also buy access to an exploration system that procedurally generates new sector blocks complete with star and planetary systems that persist on the server for anyone to visit. So in short, I will buy anything that adds PLAYABLE SUBSTANCE to the game, which is exactly what Cryptic has STUPIDLY declared they will neve charge for. So they do not want my money. I will not spend it on fluff.
Actually, I'm taking a break from buying anymore ships for now since I still have many T6 ships that I have purchased in the past and have never commanded yet. I'll wait more Romulan ships to appear in the C-Store...
I've never bought any of the big "packs", and never will. Largest single thing I've ever purchased was a cross-faction trio of ships. Everything else I get is individual things/services/upgrades.
Not because of my dislike for ST:D, either. Indeed, it is because there are some things that interfere with game play that I do not see being addressed. UI lag, the fact that I get disconnected several times per day (all other online activity on my part goes off without a hitch), the strange frequency of pop-up dialog interrupting combat, getting a leaver penalty when a bug occurs in a TFO that cannot be otherwise worked around...
Even though much of what Cryptic has been doing has met with my approval, indeed it was Cryptic that made the JJ Verse (yes, that is it's name) ships visually appealing. How did they do that? I swear it's witchcraft! In the films they look like trash, but in STO they actually look pretty good! Indeed, the same can be said for many of the ST:D ships, though that Bird of Prey variant is trash and will never look right to me.
In spite of all that, I know that PWE is in charge of the purse strings and thus ultimately responsible for some in-game issues not being resolved. It seems to me that throwing real money at this time would be rewarding PWE's bad behavior. It sucks that it has to impact Cryptic at the same time.
Speaking of FLEET Tier 6 Pilot Escorts, when can I get a Mercury class Fleet Tier 6?
Ditto
This right here. One of the reasons why I am enjoying Dungeons&Dragons Online more as of late. If I find additional content I want, I'll buy the quest packs. Or I'll use pylons to make DDO points to buy them. They're optional, but they do add to the game in the form of areas to explore, quests to run, raids, favor, and items. Luckily, I have so many quest packs to still buy, that I have goals to look forward to. With STO, it's mostly gaining resources, refining resources to throw into something, and sitting on my fourth point of contact while waiting for the Chinese Water Torture dripping of episodes to come out. STO can only go so far on their gamblebox and ship bundle crutches.
