    Poor Martok. :frowning:

Between being held captive while a Founder took his place to push for a more aggressive Klingon Empire to being held captive while thought for dead while his replacement as Chancellor pushed for a more aggressive Klingon Empire....

It's the stuff of Legend and Song ( and also a spin-off Star Trek series coming this Fall to UPN )

Martok was 1 of my fav characters in ds9, and I must say that you can done an awesome job, Martok in game is just perfect, and the mission is cool.

I'd like to point out that an excellent argument could be made that the house of torg klingons you encounter in this episode should count as klingon rebels. They are rebels when you encounter them during 'bringing down the house' on forcas iii and last time I checked there wasn't a pardon granted to the house of torg.

yes, they need to be labeled Klingon Rebels so those on the federation side hunting accolades don't have to replay the arena portion of The Undying literally a thousand times

and i am using literally with its old definition, not the new one - you really DO have to play that portion of that mission a thousand times to get all 3 accolades for klingon rebels as fed characters, since only one enemy in the entire game that they can actually fight is tagged as such, and that's one of the Snapdragon crew

I enjoyed the new episode. Hoping we hear from Martok and Rodek/Kurn again.
I liked the map of the prison. Made for some interesting fights. The multiple waves of guards and Tzenkethi were challenging.

After the maintenance finished i had alot of problems finishing the last part due to enemies not staying dead. i terminated it and started over and it was fine? not sure why this happened but it did.

Cryptic really needs to address their mob targeting system.

As it is now everything always attacks you and not your Bridge officers or any other NPCs in the area.

For hating Martok so much the great big almost unkillable Tzenkethi thing continually pounds me into the wall so I can't do anything while martok stabs him in the butt.

    Kind of immersion breaking.

Also while I kind of get that enemies can puncture my Force Dome to hit me because they are so awesomely powerful to force their way through a force field, they should be flung backwards after doing so to the extent of the playbox rather than simply being set down so they can jump through my Force Dome again.

Something is really bugging me since I met Martok.

    His missing eye.

Since he's been kept in Metaphasic radiation for so long in order to recover from near death torture, why is he still missing his eye? In a matter of DAYS of metaphasic radiation, Geordie regenerated his eyes, and he had been blind from birth. The Baku are perfect and virtually immortal from the effets of this stuff. Martok's eye should have been back long ago.

Unless...he's been replaced with an Undine AGAIN (and the Undine overlooked that consequence)! Dun DUNNN DUUUNNNNNN!

as i recall, geordi still had his eyes, they just didn't work...martok lost his eye entirely - you don't regenerate something that isn't there

That makes it even sillier. Whatever was wrong with Geordi's eyes was FROM BIRTH...the pupils and/or nerve and/or whatever were NEVER there, but regenerated anyway.

Martok DID have an eye once, but lost it. It should have grown back. That's what regenerates means...re-generates. Generates again.

Guess they should have titled Insurrection "Star Trek: ReGenerations". ;)

from what I've gathered Geordi Laforge did have normal human optical nerves and eyes but they had been damaged either while he was in the womb or shortly after it.

We know for a fact that Geordi had optical nerves and the part of the brain that works inputs from the optical nerves as his visor worked by tapping into them and his eyes seem damaged but present (again we see them in TNG), so it's not like Martok whose eye was literally pulled out of it's socket and thrown away.

IIRC the manner in which Martok lost his eye was getting punched in the face by a Jem'hadar so many times that his skull cracked and the eye socket collapsed. Maybe it can't regen because there's a random chunk of bone where the eye should be?

So far I'm hating this episode. Rodac goes off the beaten path and I'm supposed to go after him, bit as soon as I left from between the red lines stuff starts firing at me, but I'm still cuffed and defence less.

Okay, I'm willing to suspend disbelief that far. Thanks for putting my mind at rest, Mark! (I have to accept that that would prevent regeneration, because the alternative would involve the eye regenerating around a bone fragment and remaining immobile, leaving Martok a Wes-Craven-horror-movie version of Marty Feldman. And let's not dwell on that.)
