what is the point of having scores in the minigame ?

i sweat out 2400-2600 points only to get simple white common particles, while i tend to get better drops on 1500-1700 ?? even fragments ?

i know its just a game and anniversary and all.. but some fixed score

It's RNG. You can pump out the high scores and get common colored traces. You can also make a minigame in the minigame and AVOID the particles and get the colored traces. Or just be AFK.

This is the first mini-game I've played where I'm happy to just let it do it's thing and collect the meager reward.

As I mentioned in another thread, I would like some other minor, petty reward that is guaranteed if you do well. Just say a random selection of 5 random marks, 10 Dil, 1 or 2 (un)common crafting materials. Nothing that would break the bank, but would be a nice pat on the back for a job well done.

Yeah, getting frustrated too. After practicing a bit I can get above 2200 regularly, but end up with a trace in 90% of the games. Thats simply demotivating.

The mini game reminds me of whose line is it anyway. The show where everything is made up and the points don't matter!

The only times I've ever got the Very Rare fragments was when my score was 2,400 or higher. I think the prize is random, however the odds of getting better rewards increase with a higher score.

I did 2600 and had traces at least twice. And once or twice I did less than 2600 and had a purple. It doesn't makes sense.
You should be guaranteed to have better than a trace for 2k+, better than green for 2300+ and higher chances to have a purple for 2600.

EDIT : just did 2600 and a trace.

As you can see, a number of people can do this perfectly. If they guaranteed the highest reward there would be a slew of people making 5 upgrades every 20 hours on 20 characters.

Again, it is tuned for the the extreme gamer/grinder to guard against extreme results.

I still think the randomness factor seems to get wonky with multiple players interacting with the same molecule. My best results are going to quiet out of the way ground molecules.

    but why ??

just go for a dabo table instead than.. its rly frustrating

on 2600 points the chanche should be 100% by following your logic as it literaly means every particle are collected..

    2600 / 100%
    2500 / 90%
    2400 / 80%
    2300 / 70%
    2200 / 60%
    2100 / 50%
    2000 / 40%
    etc..

    & chanche categories:

    2000-2600 fragment
    1500-1999 shard
    1000-1499 silver
    x - 999 x_particle

and so on. when chanche% fails, than one lvl below its category reward.

The first time I broke 1K, I got a silver for 1100. Since then I've gotten over 1K several times with the highest so far 1500 or 1600. All of those just gave common.

The irony is one time later I scored 980 and got another silver.

    Time to play Q's advocate..

These Omega particles.. even the Borg could never stabilize them.. By this point subspace would have been destroyed and warp travel impossible.. So random- yes, annoying- yes

I just want some epic upgrades to finish my main (after the hundreds spent on 2 epic beams)

I've found that I'm getting ~50% uncommon shards and 50% traces with <1% being blue/purple. My scores vary and the odds include those that end early or I got distracted but most scores are 2000+ and practically all are 1700+.

Why would you AFK 5 mins for something that takes 50 seconds?

I recorded some results a couple of days ago on the probabilities with high scores.

    http://oi60.tinypic.com/vqth6d.jpg

I suspect anything over 2000 gives the same results but my sample size isn't large enough to confirm that.

Even so, the 2600 score is useful to look at. Working out the percentage on 2600 alone (52 sample size) gives the following:

    ~6% fragments,
    ~13% shards
    ~58% slivers
    ~23% trace

That's about what I am seeing. All my whites and greens go strait to exchange. Once you get your method down for the mini game and find a good spawn location you can get the blues and purples you need to start 5 projects in short time. The tinfoil hat brigade here is too quick to jump to biased conclusions.

Game's been bugged for me and the best I've been able to pull is 1500. The game has a tendency to crash as soon as it starts and every time the speed picks up it jumps ahead a full page. Distribution of bonus rewards still seems random to me but then I've only gotten four omega silver since this all started and one of them came from a game crash and a score of 5. Se La Vie.
