Forum Badges

As some of you have noticed (and have started collecting!), forum badges are starting to populate in people's profiles! We're still working on tweaking all the right settings but if you feel you are missing a badge, you can test logging out and back into your account and taking a forum action (liking, commenting, posting, etc) to trigger a badge.

    Can someone take a look at how they display on a user's profile? The images are stretched out so they look rather silly.

    And i'm sure Cryptic Art people can land a hand (and an hour) with some fun stuff in this.

    Can I say "We don't need no stinking badges"? LOL, where do they appear? Just on the profile?

    We are aware of the badge images stretched and I just need to set aside some time to fix it. Was waiting for badges to all populate more before moving to that step.

    Here is the list of badges currently activated:
    Name Dropper
    Photogenic
    Combo Breaker
    5, 25, 100, 250, 500 Agrees
    1st-10th Anniversary
    Ancient Membership
    1st Answer
    5, 25, 50, 100, 250 Answers
    First Comment
    10, 100, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10000, 25000, 50000 Comments
    5, 25, 100, 250, 500 Likes
    5, 25, 100, 250, 500 LOLs


    Currently disabled:
    5, 25, 100, 250, 500 Up Votes
    5, 25, 100, 250, 500 Insightfuls
    5, 25, 100, 250, 500 Awesomes
    Twitter Connector
    Facebook Connector


    As @micky1p00 pointed out, we can create custom badges and I've already started thinking of potential fun things but no set plans.

    Earned badges for 5 different things in one day (now you can say it was 6!).

    Not sure how I got it...

    Edit: And now it's gone, replaced by other badges. How strange.

    Thank you for the list... out of curiosity, what does it mean when forum members have the jail door over their profile pic? Seems like ive had it before and is now gone.

    That's jail, it's one of the moderation mechanisms available on the Vanilla forum platform. You get it as a punishment if you've committed sufficient infractions against the forum rules. And it falls off after some amount of time.

    If you ask me, it's in really bad taste, but it is what it is.

    Hi guys,

    I just wanted to let you know that you can always see the latest list of badges here under THIS link.

    Mind you, if you would like to start collecting those badges, keep special attention to the Combo Breaker Badge.
    In the beginning, when you have no badges yet, it is easy to earn that one.

    The more badges you have however, the harder it will get to earn the Combo Breaker Badge.

    It would be really cool if the default icons of the vanilla forum badges were to be replaced by icons/graphics from Neverwinter.
