I think the update sounds terrific, and I love some of these new art assets... not just the fashion, but what they've come up with for the ticket booth and sahha field (please add as foundry assets please please... I want a huge library with a card catalogue).

But I am concerned that because playing sahha allows farming of both petals and favors, there is going to be very little reason to participate in any of the older activities to any extent. It looks a bit like the Jubilee update, where it's more worth your time to do the same activity as much as you can stomach (escort the merchant/play sahha), and you're probably best off to focus on a single character to gain access to the top reward tier.

The Alliance patch would have been nicer for XBOX, especially with a 2x guild mark weekend... plus, we've had a couple of events recently, need some room to get back to the grind.

The deal with the Summer Fest is that ya have to do each event once if ye wish for the Prized Oinky mount. But this is only relevent to new players. Most of us already have all the mounts and gear from the event.......so, yes, I'll be mostly playin Sahha. Of course focusing on only one player is gonna depend on the Summer outfits and stuff......are they BoP, BoE, BoA, or BYoB. :p

I'm curious about the body paint... is this a permanent item or do they fade off the character in time?

It is also fashion, worn in the head slot, so all of them show up with the South Sea fashions.

This makes me curious if the body paint textures can show under other fashions or not, but the stuff is only in Gateway's collections so far and therefore can't be previewed.

Oh.. that is interesting... hmmm.. that also begs the question if it can work with other costume pieces?

The body paint goes in the head slot for fashions, so you can wear other fashions with it, but you won't be able to see it if you wear, say, the wedding set.

Could we get a little more description of what a "volley" is? Or how sahha works in general? Maybe a list of all the mithral ticket rewards?

Looking at the field, it looks like soccer. Counting volleys makes me think hacky sack, or volleyball. Counting volleyball volleys as a method of determining reward makes me think both teams of five would have to work together, despite being queued against each other, essentially turning a 10 man premade into a 10 man where 5 players must be pug. Hacky sack makes me wonder why the goals are there. Soccer has me back to the volley count ambiguity. What am I missing?

Hey I've got a problem after actualization. It says: "Error 36: The file has been blocked and cannot be open" (or something which sounds like that, I'm Polish). Then it starts actualization again. Anyone has the same? Help T^T.

For some clarification on the nature of volleys and ticket-balls vis-a-vis the competitive sahha mode, here's a post I made in the thread Summer Festival Keepie-Uppie on the general forums:

For clarification, and this is something that should become clear as you are introduced to sahha via the event quests, there are two distinct sahha related activities.

Ticket-ball juggling which is cooperative and sahha exhibition matches that are competitive.

Ticket-ball juggling is an activity you can engage in with your party anywhere, given that you have a ticket-ball. Any volleys by you or nearby party members count towards your total, and each ticket-ball can be volleyed 30 times if the ball is not allowed to despawn early by remaining on the ground for a few seconds. Your volley total remains throughout the duration of the event.

Exhibition matches are queued, competitive and volleys in competitive matches have no impact on your total juggles for ticket-balls. That being said, playing an exhibition match can earn you some of the same tickets, in addition it is one of the methods for earning a daily ticket-ball.

Ticket-balls are not designed to be too difficult to volley, even a single player should be able to keep one aloft, albeit with more difficulty than 2 or 5 players. In addition, grouping up will mean everyone gets more rewards.

We're very excited that sahha is now available to you all and we hope you enjoy the festivities!

@asterdahl this is a quote from a previous post of yours:

"Ticket-ball juggling is an activity you can engage in with your party anywhere, given that you have a ticket-ball. Any volleys by you or nearby party members count towards your total, and each ticket-ball can be volleyed 30 times if the ball is not allowed to despawn early by remaining on the ground for a few seconds. Your volley total remains throughout the duration of the event."

Does this mean that per day, I could gather 5 total people in a group and volley each Ticket-ball a maximum of 30 times? Therefore, each player in the group can receive a maximum of 150 volleys (30 volleys x 5 people) per day from daily Ticket-balls alone?

Is anyone else finding that getting copper tickets is *incredibly* slow and difficult? I'm not sure I can get enough tickets for the south seas fashion for *one* toon let alone more than one.

Did a little of both. So far I'm getting almost as many from competitive as cooperative. Even so, I've only managed 18 tickets so far. Considering you need upwards of 900 for the fashion set and body paint...

I managed to win 3 silver tickets in a match. Now if there was only a way to trade them in for copper ones...

Well, I spent a bunch of zen, managed to get my volley count way past 300, and, well, something looks bugged. The drop rate for copper tickets is downright abysmal compared to the rate for silver and even mithril. Either the copper drop rate is bugged or this will be not only an alt-unfriendly event but a main-unfriendly event as well. It would be awfully nice if we could trade in silver tickets for copper if this is the intended drop rate. I have no idea how we're supposed to amass upwards of 1000 copper tickets on just one toon!

Your ticket system sucks. I've been at this all day. Volleyed 20 balls and got over 450 count. I ONLY have 57 copper tickets! What the hell is wrong with you people. and there's NO other way to get tickets. Your stupid Sahha game doesn't give any. The event is downright bad, grind grind grind. spend spend spend. Not worth it. ~_~ it's not fun at all, and I usually love the events.

Yeah I got some ticket balls off the market (idiot that I am) no instructions no indication what you were supposed to do with them horrendous lack of information frankly, then having eventually figured something out the drop rate was abysmal, the match seemed to have little to do with the ticket balls, then won a match I got 3 silver tickets out of the chest the person in my group who also won the match got no tickets out the chest and we have no idea why this was.

IMHO this event is an utter fail!

Did they change the look of the Summer Festival HR OH? I can swear it previously looked like Sai with vines wrapped around it. This year it's more like a cutlass :'(
