I found the problem. after sleeping on it and with a fresh and rested mind, I went into the graphics settings for the game and went and tweaked one setting at a time(following standard troubleshooting protocol here). and found...it was the screen space ambient occlusion.…

I'll probably abandon the game for another two years if someone from the game's dev staff comes and tells me its not the game..its my network or somewhere in between, cause I'm on gigspeed fios, I routinely post 500mbps+ up/down on speed test, so its not my network connection.

I figured it out. had to unselect the fleet t-6 setting at the vendor. its under the regular t-6 science for some odd reason.

@davefenestrator after having read the thread you linked to... @edoach is entirely correct in reporting his problem in this particular sub thread of the support section. on topic now, yeah thats bad.. though try using an impulsive floater with the lag/stutter fest risa is..thats aggravating on a level I've not experienced…

I am already doing a floater swap...the impulsive one is just plain impossible to control what with the lag fest that is risa this year...and then it stutters and suddenly I'm off course and failed the event run and have to restart it..

just hopping between toons, doing the admiralty/dilithium refining hop..I got three characters in, went to switch toons..game window goes unresponsive, then the game crashes. subsequently finished my last two toons, went into crystalline advanced with my gagarian miracle worker battle cruiser...beat the entity..game…

I too am seeing this, its not limited to the bridge, I've gotten it on k7, just now on ESD, and in sector space. its not limited to any one specific component. for the moment however it does not appear to be affecting items, eg phasers, warp cores, eg finished products in short.

ok...so it seems this MIGHT possibly be a conflict with google chrome. now, I am aware browsers are largely increasingly dependent on graphics cards for gpu acceleration of various elements....so the idea is maybe its an unintended conflict with the game trying to address to something the browser is dependent on?

so either this is a bug, or is functioning as intended and if the latter, then they need to edit the tool tip for every dual cannon in the game as its severely misleading.
