I saw them and put them in the corner. I already have 2 hypos on me (2pc AMACO+a large one), shields are unimportant and Motion accel doesnt add dps. The battle stategies one is the only one possibly competetive, though the delta kits might still be superior. After all, in pugs you usually dont get Tactical Initiative to…
Life is war. At least that seems to be what cryptic seems to think. Dont forget that the trailer showed us also several encounters with the Tholians. All violent.
I see it as an incentive for another drop in pug-success-rate to be honest. Not to mention that even now you can build your ship like you want it. And even the most absurds builds can be flown effectively.
Since the tholians dont have a confuse skill (which could lead to a confused ally using scramble sensor and actually scrambling their allies too), I guess he means: Give the tholians scramble sensors. Or maybe some drones went rouge after the owner warped out, or some other pets using it.
If you dont like it, dont do it. Borg spheres dont have shield neutralizers. They have something far worse, with no (otherwise) useful counter. I think the ones we already have are superior...
I would pug CC more often then. Would be fun, mobbing the floor with all those glassy pug-ships. The exploit-potential is high in this one (proposal).
The first only applies if you are less than good in piloting. This is where training (much training) comes into play. (and you can use the inertia quite nicely). But when you can effectively pilot a bortasque, you will be fine. The second doesnt really apply, as your damage is divided by time= First mentioned in combatlog…
Wrong game. And Sciships (and defensive stats) are definitely the wrong place to start looking for imbalances. But STO is way past the point of no return either way. Psst: Tactical team, or good old shield redistribution. Bam, all your shields focused on one side.
I dont see a problem, pretty much the same number of shields could be achieved for years (at least since T5F-Ships were avaiable), so its not like this is new. And you have to invest something to get that much, so again, no problem here. But as someone else mentioned, you are comparing a cruiser (high hull, medium shields)…
The ship features a lt.cmd. engineering and a lt. sci, thats way above any glass canon builds. There is pretty much only one slot (the cmdr eng) missing compared to the strongest cruisers. With a the lt.cmd. universal set to tactic, you can have the full range any escort should have (If you would like to fly the ship on…
CC is one of the best queues, since performance actually impacts time and rewards. I can understand where you come from, but we already have a redifined CC: The mirror event, which is a stand-in for CC (so both have a frequency of roughly 6 months). Of both I prefer CC, since no timegate, and performance makes a big…
Then I would sell it. Really, mods only matter if you want records, if you want "just" high dps they become less important. But EC are important, for new ships, traits and abilities (like Kemocite), which boost dps far more than wether or not a mod is crtd or dmg.
Not knowing what "universal slot" or "CD-Reduction" means, is a lack of skill. Or knowledge. Though I see the latter as part of the first. And not acknowledging the useful feedback others gave -with tips how to build it- is just plain ignorance (which in my opinion is worse than lacking skill. Lacking skills can be solved,…
Yeah, because "Hey look, thats what interests me so much I want to share it with you" is different then recommending... "By any other name"... Its like you drive a car for a good part of a decade, you had to repair a whole lot of parts because they malfunctioned, and now it gets hickups common for its age too, but you will…
Keep in mind that most players usually only play the STFs, thus only encountering borg. So I guess his statement about shields being drained repeatedly all the time is most likely due to this ;)
While your second option is actually valid, your first is totally besides the point. If they increase the refinement rate, sooner or later they would adapt prices too, so nothing would be gained ;)
The mods are not dependend on weapontype. Depending on your critchance, CrtDx3 pen is the best, but a stray dmg wont really matter much. At this point, every mod besides Acc is good.
Its pretty easy: For a better rainbow, use an energytype with many variants, like disruptor, which comes in different shades of green. And use the energyconsoles. For a standard rainbow, use the same weapontype (beams, dualbeams), but have different energy types. Use energy-unspecific weaponconsoles, and instead use one…
Its not only that they are not so transparent. Its mostly because they dont know how their own system works. This is mostly because we have had high fluctuation in the dev-team, so no original dev is still working on the game. And thats why we get comments like "Acc-overlow is like magic for me" and "Its beyond me how…
Give us your build and we might help: http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/ But first thing I thought: Maybe you left your powersetting on standard, thus ridiculous low Weaponpower, thus your beams are actually cotton.
If you use it with Marion, Marion might do a bit more for cannons than for faw (for the laughable 8 sec he is up). But the basic DEM-ability will do more for the faw-user. If there are more than one enemie.
Forget the native regen. Its not something to calculate with. Capacity, Resistencies and Absorption/bleedthrough are the important stats. Even if the native regen would be zero, only few would notice that ;)
The only sane advice: Turn away and dont spent many on this game. Especially not with three digits. If anything, play one or two month and re-evaluate if you want to play further (then the money might not be as much wasted) or end playing. As for race and such, go Romulan. Best race, best ships and best storyline.
