Just for the record, not sure if this always works but I spent a respec token and it let me assign all my skill points, and when I hit 51 it let me assign my specialization point as well. So it "fixed it" for me, but I don't want to recommend it as those tokens aren't free and I'm a sample size of 1, so maybe it won't work…

Same issue. On Xbox One. Hit 50 with a Romulan last night and can't assign my final point for my space skill or ground skill. I can select it and hit accept but nothing happens.
