  • I think it got changed very early on and now and then shows up with the old numbers, like needing to kill way more than 3 Dreanoughts for the Hard Endeavor. Usually a map change fixes it (though another might swap it back).
  • They did actually fix the Proton damage on the console. At minimum it shows up the tooltip for the omni now, though I didn't try it with anything else Proton.
  • "Resolved an issue with the Console - Universal - Pahvan Crystal Battery that caused its Photon damage bonus to only apply to mines." This should be Proton damage, right? Buffing the set's omni and other Proton stuff would be handy.
  • While not super cheap, Energy Weapons Officer and Projectile Weapons Officer that have a chance to increase either Critical Hit Chance or Severity are way cheaper than 'of 47' DOffs (particularly lower Rarity Weapons Officers, and bit lower for Projectile) and are usually pretty good on any that have those weapons. You can…
  • I think it was more of an issue that players were ending up in the wrong difficultly when they just wanted to breeze through the event or weren't ready for a higher difficultly. Sometimes user error, sometimes it seems it was a glitch where users got sent to the wrong one. I've heard that on consoles right now Randoms are…
  • Nope. Doesn't give a discount for other types of bundles either.
  • Lorca's console + another piece of the set is where it becomes really good. Which pets were these? Hangar pets typically don't use the carrier's stats (some newer one was coded to change Accuracy to damage), but things like console pets and wingmen sometimes do.
  • It shouldn't be an actual DPS loss. Seems like a display error from it not knowing any of the mods in the upgrade item preview, including the [dmg] already on the items shown. Do note that only [dmg] will show on that display for raising the damage/DPS listed, other mods should help in actual use, but you'd have to run a…
  • If you're still looking for Endeavor Perks (and not just looking for extra structure to play or just the reward boxes,) it's worth noting that tomorrow on PC the Klingon Recruitment starts, which gives you extra Endeavor Perks for completing Endeavors on that character. While the account wide percent boosts to Endeavors…
  • The blog for it says it's supposed to work with torp spread: "Starship Trait - Inertial Supremacy Space Trait. During Beams: Fire at Will, Cannon: Scatter Volley, or Torpedo Spread, weapons fire applies a debuff to Foes' Damage Resistance Rating. The strength of the debuff depends on the current speed of your vessel." If…
  • I used to do that, but most of the time it's just easier to bolt on a random weapon of that type (usually a mk xii left over from Reputations) or swap a hangar out (if ship has one) for 50k and 150k, and I can usually get it knocked out in a single TFO. The 300k I can usually get by with doubling that to two weapons.
  • "Bridge Officer Stations: 1x Commander Tactical 1x Lieutenant Tactical / Miracle Worker 1x Lieutenant Commander Engineer / Pilot 1x Ensign Science 1x Lieutenant Commander Universal" OK, but not exceptional. About on par with most Event ships lately, but better than earlier ones that only had one Specialization Bridge…
  • What is this? It's hitting a starship, so it's not an image from Neverwinter or other game, but no idea how this fits Picard. "Engineering – Malicious AI Your engineer will program a Malicious AI and launch it into an enemy ship, creating a variety of ship wife anomalies, disabling the affected ship and damaging ship…
  • Universal would just be more DPS powercreep. Though the average player probably needs 15 traits to even struggle through an Elite, selling those trait slots to higher end players is just going to make the content they already breeze through even duller, and lead to ever more AFKing of lower end players that were actually…

  • It's not on https://www.playstartrekonline.com/en/news so probably just a glitch on the old site. They tried killing the old News site before, but there was backlash, both from people that don't like the new bright page as well as it causing issues with searching for old official News for STO. I'm kinda surprised they…
  • There is an option to turn voice over volume to zero under audio options if you'd really prefer nothing. I usually go that route and only turn it back up for new missions.
  • Oh, ignore that notice if that's the variant selector and the ship is Constellation Heavy Cruiser Refit which costs Dilithium from 63k-75k (depending on Dil Mine unlocks). The Variant selector UI seems to display that Z icon on stuff that isn't unlocked by the Zen store from time to time. I've got the T3 63k Dil ship on PC…
  • Only towards the end of the day, as when I first logged in yesterday for my Daily there was no message. When I logged in later in the day, it did have the message, but very likely a lot of people never saw it.
  • Probably after the Winter Event on PC. Consoles will be getting the Jem'hadar event next IIRC, so that'll be incompatible with your goals on there until the one after that. I'm not sure if the PC cycle will be compatible with your goals or not, as you need either a Klingon or Delta Recruit Event, but next after could…
  • The little drop down box for skins on the shipyard entry should tell you for sure, but I'm pretty sure it does. I don't have that particular one, but all of the Disco ones I have both the Disco version and the STO 25th Century version included with the C-Store ship.
  • I'm pretty sure that was a misspeak caused by gear being pulled from other ships of Kaels coming up on screen when it was being talked about, specifically Lethean Disruptors that were auto-equipped. Anyone have one and know what it really has weapons wise? Edit: Talking to people in game, it does come with Lethean…
  • You just need level 62 for Jems, not any particular episode. "Home" makes you not dependent on the White though. I quickly spooled up a Jem on the last day of this last Recruitment Event, and have done none of the Jem'Hadar missions besides the mandatory 'tutorial', and have access to Account Bank, TFOs, and Patrols that…
  • Originally you could only get two from a single UR token, but it was way harder to get a UR token then. The rarities have been rolled up by one, and former chance to get a UR now lands you an Epic, combined on top of the old chance for an Epic (and they're still hard to get). 'Ultra Rare' now was 'Very Rare' then and would…
  • Only when that event isn't running, but yes, the entire discussion about Advanced and Elite TFO versions was about TFOs that were orginally added with Events.
  • Do note that the Dilithium event ones are Account Bound when picked up. That's what sets them apart from the Lockbox/Exchange of the same type (those Bind to Character on Equip).
  • They actually look like like blue blobs for TOS Phaser Cannons. Normal phaser cannon shaped blobs, just in blue. If you want some to quickly see if you want that, the last mission of the TOS Toon arc can be replayed for a Dual Cannon in them, and some may have dumped theirs on the Exchange. At level cap they give out…
  • Word on Reddit is that linking doesn't work yet again, and they only allowed linking for a few days. Supposition is that it wasn't supposed to work then, but was something with the new launcher and/or season turned linking back on by accident.
  • You can't link your Arc account to Epic anymore, so unless you linked accounts during the brief window that was supported, you not only need to install a second copy of the game but make an entirely new STO account to use with Epic with none of your stuff.
  • At least the Mirror Borg adapt to physical damage now, at least the Tommy gun (fast) and shotgun (slow). It might also be bugged, as remodulating seems to not work on either of them and it eventually gets to full immunity. I've heard that the TR gun is Kinetic, and that they don't adapt to that.
  • Why? The current system of having multiple Starbase One bases means that sometimes they invade the old obsolete one held in reserve in case the main one gets taken out, instead of the current active one (unless they took the 25C one down from active service after it was digitized and restored last arc...).
