No ships display vanity shields, or any other vanity items, on the character select screen.

It looks like more STO era with odd Bussard collectors, but for KDF ships with downward angled nacelles. I could see these being used on a Vor'cha or K't'inga variant, if they were angled down instead of sideways and red/yellow instead of blue glowy bits.

This game can have far more checks and calculation for all the buffs and debuffs every time you fire a single beam array than that example, and it does it in a time fast enough to not be really noticeable to humans. The Vanity Shields could be a decent bandaid to the Dil Exchange if more shields were added, as the impact has been diminished by people already having gotten the shields from the previous times this has been run. Also, it would probably help more if there wasn't a Dil bonus event running at the same time.

lol. During busier times it'd just be constantly flickering between ships. If it keeps the same scale and center point, every time someone docks a Borg Assimilator Dreadnought Carrier, you wouldn't be able to use the main concourse.

FX spam is so extreme at times that I can't see my ship, so it's probably worth addressing the more offensive spam in a convenient way before getting to 8x weapons being issue (or even visible compared to everything else).

It sounds like your machine is overheating. Try cleaning your fans and heatsinks, particularly the CPU fan and heatsink, as STO hits the CPU harder than many other games. For the Jupiter, I'd rather have some of the losing designs from the 2015 contest. Alpha being an obvious choice, but I'm fond of Gamma and Delta as well.

Being full Temporal, it can kick up to a higher turnrate than the Arbitier if you press the Offensive Configuration mode button. On top of that, it has a higher than usual Impulse Modifier and Inertia rating for a Battlecrusier. Still not a high-end escort, but should do decently in fairly predictable PvE with dual cannons.

For the Micro-Quantum Torpedoes Phalanx Array uni console from the Achilles, does it still fire upwards when mounted on other ships? I was presuming so, but I've heard that normal torps fire upwards on Achilles, so I'm now wondering if it fires out of the normal hardpoints on other ships.

It's the speed of the remodulation, with a normal old remod devices, it had to go 'bip bip ...' up to full circle to have your weapons work on the Borg again, but with the Omega set it just goes 'woop' and you're back to blasting Borg basically as soon as you hit the button. Still need to hit the button, though.

Isomags, so long as you're running mostly energy weapons on the Donnie. Sci and Torp carriers get a bit more out of the hangar craft ones, as the weapon power boosts won't help nearly as much those will help the pets.
