Already did that. Made no difference with the turn rate. It needs a patch and at this point I think I will be holding on to my money from now on since I purchased a broken ship and there is very little communication about it being fixed in the near future.
Anyone flying a Fed escort that says the turn rate is ok, obviously wasn't flying one before the patch. They will be in for a shock when it is fixed. LOL They still have the turn rate of a cruiser and no inertia with consoles that give it.
I play on PS4 and haven't really noticed if the game is dead or not. Seems to always be players in sector space and the 8472 space battle zone. Plus every few minutes, some random persons name flashes across my screen that they got their choice of a certain ship. I do know the turn rate bug has made piloting ships…
Voth armor (Dyson reputation tier 5 costume unlock) doesn't show up as an option at the tailor. It does show as an option when selecting the type of outfit when modifying but none of the costume pieces are listed. The helmet is selectable when modifying the character's head in the advanced menu, but no Voth body armor…
Will there be a patch that corrects the issue this week? I really hope the silence on this problem doesn't mean the slow flight turn rate for escorts is working as intended. An update would be nice.
Ok... I just removed my ship's epic RCS Accelerator Mk XIV and epic Polaric Modulator Mk XIV consoles and while the turn rate numbers being displayed went lower as expected, the ship still took the same amount of time to complete a full 360 degree turn as it did with them installed. They aren't working.
@jaguarskx In Earth space dock orbit, my ship takes about 13.89 seconds to complete a full turn. The engines are at full speed but not full power (sorry I am not sure what the proper terminology is.). My power distribution preset is still set to weapons because there is no balanced option on consoles. But the engine shows…
@jaguarskx In Sol system, the Epic Polaric Modulator Mk XIV is showing a flight turn rate of +25% The epic RCS Accelerator Mk XIV is +50% My impulse engine is a Dyson Combat engine Mk XII ( can't be upgraded with tech upgrades for some reason) and during full impulse with power to weapons, is showing +45.2 turn rate and…
@jaguarskx - I have no idea what those numbers mean, but I am flying a T6 Valiant escort with skill points in Impulse Expertise and Improved Impulse Expertise. I also have the Thrill-seeker personal space trait, Advanced Engines space reputation trait, an epic RCS Accelerator console and an epic Polaric Modulator console.…
I'm getting tired of my escort being outmaneuvered by almost everything in the game. It would be nice to have an update from the Devs about this very big issue. I buy a T6 ship and a week later it is broken.
The turn rate on my T6 escort seems a bit improved on PS4, but still feels very sluggish compared to before the patch. Evasive Maneuvers still doesn't even seem to affect the ship's speed or turn rate. I'm beginning to think this was an intentional nerf to escorts or someone has a messed up idea about how they should…
I am having a difficult time believing that the person that coded the changes to flight, thought it was working great. It was the first thing I noticed after the patch. Apparently they need to do more testing before sending these patches for certification with MS and Sony.
Doesn't matter where my ship is. It still turns like it is a giant battleship and is almost impossible to get it to face moving targets during combat. The swarmers in the Dyson sphere... the only thing that saves me with those is my Omni-directional beam array and a newly installed rear beam array. Otherwise, forget it.…
My ship's rear weapons are getting most of the action because I can't get my ship turned around fast enough to use my cannons in the front. It's ridiculous.
Having same issue on PS4. I am assuming this is tied to the "fix" with the pitch control. Now my ship doesn't want to turn easily like it used to. Please fix ASAP. I play with a tactical escort that depends on a tight and responsive turn rate to get targets into the cannon firing arc quickly. Can't play like this.
