I would definitely buy the Excelsior II if it were available in the C-Store and not part of a bundle, and would probably consider it if part of a bundle. In agreement with every prior poster, I've got to say though, this ought not to be a Lockbox ship! It's a mainline Starfleet design and, I assume, will be a per-character…
Looks great! I have been waiting for this ship to be included in the game for a long time, and am very happy it is coming soon. Am eagerly awaiting any further Bajoran content. :o)
As many others have said here, and as many in my circle of STO friends have also said, remove the time gate and make mirror "stompable" like Crystalline is, and this will be bearable. Virtually everyone I've talked to about this last mirror event failed to complete nearly as many characters' mirror runs as they originally…
Ha! I actually would also love to know more about STO's music. I don't often post in the forums anymore, but the OP made me smile...I am also a musician and composer, and love both rickrolling and Rick Astley in general. Nice Klingon theme by the way. Maybe I will post some of my attempts sometime. I also started some…
Alpha and Omega are my 2 favorites, but Omega's shape looks more "carrier-like" and less cruiser-like to me. Yes, I'd like to see the Jupiter-class as a playable ship but this isn't it and didn't affect my decision.
Both are good, but Omega is definitely my favorite design of them all. I hate to see some of these variants lose. Perhaps some of them can find their way to production as alternate hull variants?
I need to swing by tribble again soon, but here are some suggestions regarding some of the rewards: 1) Increase dilithium reward (back) to 960 for Advanced-level queues. 2) Allow daily Delta mark boxes to drop from Found Missions on Kobali Prime. 3) Add daily dilithium missions that have significant dilithium rewards to…
My God, is there a single area of this game they HAVEN'T either broken or nerfed with Delta Rising?!? I still want my dilithium back. They even cut mirror event dil in half (not the final reward, but the reward per run)
Yeah, boffs and doffs are still being problematic. Regarding that Heavy Bio Molecular Turret Barrage: I've been having the same problem, but I wonder if it is related to the fact that I have noticed that the tac console that is part of that set likes to jump off my ship and into inventory when I beam up to ship, causing…
Just about every STO player I associate with still wants their dilithium rewards for space and ground Borg STF's to return to pre-Delta Rising levels. Many of us who enjoy that content and badly need the dilithium remain highly discouraged and are disinclined to spend further real-life cash on Zen, and keep in mind that a…
I still have a pretty effective Intrepid build for PvP. I don't think any of my Defiant builds, however, at this point are really worth bringing to PvE or PvP in light of other ships that are available to me and can do just about anything the Defiant does but better (unless you really want that cloak). There are ships that…
Yea. Also, a 2-pc. "set bonus" like the Ar'kif's might be good, and possibly some other tweak to bring the ship in line with power creep and give it the flexibility to be more competitive versus other escorts available today.
While the arguments for and against Bajorans getting a warp-capable vessel in the Zen store made good reading, ultimately I think the matter is pretty simple: there were warp-capable Bajoran ships, albeit admittedly low-profile ships not too often seen in the TV series. I don't know how many of these ships Cryptic could…
I figured there would probably have been a thread about STF lag, but was more than a little ticked off by the time I arrived here and didn't immediately spot one. Oh well, I guess there's so many other bugs crowding the front page these days...I just got dumped from a queue that was counting down just as I was typing…
They had better not mess with stf's. Elite space STF's and the Voth battlezone are two really good ways to get dilithium, and with the incredible sums we need...we need ways to be able to grind for it that aren't agonizing.
I love First Contact Day. Sadly, I was so busy with the mirror event that I didn't even bother with it the first day. Yes, I know that to a large extent my mirror woes were self-inflicted, but with the death of crafting and the insane piles of dilithium needed to build my fleet's holdings and acquire new gear for my…
While I can only blame myself for succumbing to the temptation to earn a neat stack of dilithium and doing this event on all ten of my max-level characters, the truth is that it really has burnt me out and that when I am not grinding the mirror event I don't find a lot of available fleetmates and friends to run other…
First of all, GREAT WORK!!! I love that it has the same fresh and "modern" look as the Utopia Planetia map does. One random request: an aquarium! I know, just because the Enterprise-D had at least two aquariums does not mean that there have to be fish tanks everywhere, but they are just neat. I like that you can see Betta…
A simple and nice tweak that won't affect me anymore but might affect other LTS folks would be allowing ships purchased with the 600-day Vet token to grant that character an upgrade to the fleet version of the chosen ship with a cost of only 1 fleet ship module. Otherwise, with fleet ships being the new top-tier ships, the…
Better than a Lt. Cmdr. Tac slot would be turning that slot into a universal slot. That would still permit more traditional setups while allowing for the possibility of a tac-oriented ship. It would still not unseat newer, dedicated warships due to the low turn rate and still-ungainly BOFF layout. I think that in the end,…
I really think, as do a number of folks I play with, that the Gal-X--at least the fleet version--would really benefit from the Lt. Cmdr. BOFF seat going universal. That being said, I intend to pick up at least one of these either way. I do think that one change would be awesome though.
Agreed. As frustrating as this $100 bundle is, back when I used to play facebook games I saw a lot of games head down this road in an even more extreme manner--PLUS they had ads everywhere! I hope that enough people pass on this ship because we really don't need this to be a precedent for things to come. With the Legacy…
I'd go for two hangars of the Fleet Mesh Weavers, in order to spam as much FAW III and APB III as possible. You can do a fair bit of dps yourself, and you will be boosting any nearby teammates' dps by a significant amount.
1) Beam down to academy 2) Switch to an instance with a low population Problem solved. If you have a problem with how some of us chose to get this irritating grind down efficiently, then I am sorry you didn't move to a quieter instance. It's too bad that there are always people out there who want to make everyone suffer…
I thought I was going to be getting these when I figured the cost would be 5,000 Zen for the lot. I guess because the Fed, KDF, and Rom versions are almost carbon copies of each other (unlike, say, Oddy, Bortas, and Scimi) that I could get them all for that price. 10,000 Zen though...there's just no way. Yes, I made a…
Two reasons I can think of: sometimes the boxes lag--even on a powerful new computer with a decent (for the USA) internet speed--and interfere with the player's ability to do the minigame properly, and also if you have a lot of characters the "fun" wears off after a while.
