  • I think I've resolved the issue for me, it still suffers from FPS drops but not as much, by lowering the Anistropic filtering from 16x to 4x and dropping the amount of lights from 5 to 4. The game still looks the same as before but with drastically reduced FPS drops.
  • Good to see that I'm not the only one who noticed this, I just though it had been toned down as the bloom effect can be seen on impulse engines but only if you look closely.
  • As I'm using a lowly GTS 250 I found that switching to D3D9ex fixed a lot of the lag for me and didn't seem to make it look noticably worse. The Xbox app in Windows 10 won't record or stream anyway as I don't have the required hardware.
  • Interestingly enough I have a very similar issue to this on Windows 10 Pro. Every so often the FPS just drops for no reason, even in areas that had no lag before with Windows 8.1, so I think it's safe to assume that Windows 10 is the culprit. I've also noticed that Bloom effects never show up either.
  • I had no problem patching and that was shortly after the Game Servers went offline, could just be down to the amount of people trying to patch the game right now.
  • Certainly does, working here in the UK for me now :D
  • Are you sure your machine is connected to the internet :P
