My current oldest mail is dated 16th June 2013, however I had text mail in my inbox dating back to the launch of the game up until ten minutes ago. I've also lost 6 to 12 mails from the Exchange returning items that had expired.

Check your email account doesn't have any rules set up to instantly delete incoming emails from certain senders or with certain subject lines. Otherwise it may be a case of just waiting, the longest I've had to wait for a reset email to be sent is ~1 hour.

There is one small problem with this point. Changing your account email address does not trigger an account guard verification. I've just tested it with my work PC, which I've never used to log into either the game or the website before.
