Comcast, middle Tennessee Gateway would not connect either. So I made my T-Mobile phone a hotspot and accessed the Gateway thru my tablet. No problem. Then, I tried to connect my tablet (via Wi-Fi) on my Comcast modem. Did not connect. Clearly a pattern here.

I've tried restarting, force verifying, defrag, etc. Still getting the program hangs. After reading this: http://www.correlsense.com/blog/the-top-3-reasons-an-application-hangs/ I'd say it's a Reason #1.
