  • Ok...I have CO, STO, and NW installed in a directory other than the default directory. I just reinstalled Arc and it didn't detect ANY of them. So if you installed the games to their regular directories on the C: drive you should theoretically be fine. If like me you keep your games installed on a different drive, don't…
  • Is there an ETA on when Arc will patch and launch STO/CO/NW/future Cryptic games directly? When I tried Arc in May, it was just an extra resource hog that didn't make launching Cryptic games any easier. It's been uninstalled since then and unless it either auto-updates Cryptic games or has a button for it to start updates…
  • Whatever resolution your SLI supports should work with STO. The game automatically detects your desktop resolution and aspect ratio so it doesn't really matter whether it's SLI or Eyefinity. The only requirement is that the three monitors MUST be merged into one desktop via the software. This is why I specifically said…
  • Actually the game plays just fine in a 3 wide format for the most part. You can see here if you don't believe me. It simply requires that your system be setup using Eyefinity or SLI to merge all 3 monitors into one desktop. The only problem areas are the ones I described.
  • Branflakes has received a video that actually contains the popping, he forwarded it to the dev team along with at least one of the threads regarding this issue. No ETA on when it'll be fixed though. Think they've got other more important things on their plates, but we can hope that it'll be in the huge "Bug Squash" patch…
  • I just ran a ground mission where the popping started in the middle of combat (Think it was one of my BO skills that triggered it), but here's the weird thing...After combat, one of my BOs pulled out a tribble and the popping stopped. Can anyone else test this?
  • The last mission I ran I noticed that the snapping started while on a ground mission, but almost as soon as the combat that I noticed the snapping on ended one of my BOs pulled out a tribble and the snapping stopped. It happened twice in that missions. Can anyone else check and see if it works for them?
  • I'm having the Random Rommie Snapping too. Happens ingame, happens when alt+tabbed out of the game, happens when I have the ingame master volume and every other volume slider set to 0, happens when I have the digital processing turned off, happens when I have voice chat turned off. Every single audio option can be turned…
  • I've got the same issue. Random snaps constantly and it's driving me nuts. I even went so far as to try and turn the game sound right off and it didn't stop the popping. I went into my windows volume mixer and turned the volume for STO right down to off and I noticed that it does actually register the pop on the STO…
  • No messages in STO or CO from what some people I was chatting with said.
  • The notice on the launcher is for "Shard" maintenance. This downtime is for "Network" maintenance.
  • http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=670821 clearly states the 12th at 6am PDT. They may have messed up on the main page and the launcher, but the forum post is at least correct.
  • Network Maintenance. It was announced last night.
  • I know the shoulder camera option wouldn't stay set properly, but it was the only way I had to get the camera close to my character's right shoulder. I use an Eyefinity setup and the game works well on it for the most part, but it's frustrating how the camera is halfway across the room from my character's shoulder…
