Interesting. I was going off the wiki http://sto.gamepedia.com/Ability:_Auxiliary_to_Battery which shows it having a commander level as well. Also the ship builder on stoacademy let me put it there
I Think if you already own the normal Galx X, and Gal R. Its worth the $5. If i had no Galaxy and was looking at buying the whole pack + fleet module to get the Fleet X, im not sure if I would. But that said, if you already own the the others, $5 for better turn rate, saucer sep, ship hanger, AoE Lance, and +1 tac consoles…
So first off, let me say, I was PISSED when the Fleet X kept the same Boff layout. I was mad, swore I wasnt going to get this ship, and was done with STO. Then I cooled off, and realized some things. I always wanted to use my Galaxy X in the past with DHC's. But the turn rate was horrible. So you really only had 2 options…
I'm not on Tribble so don't take my word for it. But according to discussions over at sto builds on reddit, the 2 piece bonus with anti matter and saucer sep is giving +2 turn, and the gal X is Turing closer to and excelsior. And when separated you get another +10. so DHC builds might finally be viable. I'm personally…
Yeah I was worried a drain build wouldnt be that good solo. But I tend to mostly do STF's with my fleet, or pickup PvP from the OrganizedPvP channel. Honestly Biggest problem is, the Vesta is so versatile, I just cant seem to find a final build Im really happy with. Currently Im based on full Particle Generator dmg, doing…
Could anyone suggest a good kinetic dmg build for the vesta? I used to run a full plasma cannon, dual aux2bat, tbr3 build with all embassy Part + plasma consoles. just wasn't sure if that was still optimal or if something similar but different would be better now with the new tbr pull doff, Dyson grav torpedo spreads into…
Im still just really looking for the answers to these two questions. 1. Which will provide more raw DPS, TBR2/GW3 or GW1/TBR3 2. How much does Aux boost damage of GW. Say the difference between 100 Aux and 25 aux.
I'm guessing by such lack of response this build is either so horrible people don't want to waste their time. Or its so epically amazing no one can think of a better way to improve it...m
I was originally using a low aux, high particle build to TBR ram people (wanted low aux so i didnt push them out to where I couldnt hit them anymore). With with the Doff that changes my push to a pull, high aux doesnt hurt me anymore (instead of pushing them away to far, it just pulls em to me, so they still take the full…
You actually want low Aux when using PSW and TBR. Both of these powers do their damage based soley on Particle Gen numbers. For both of these powers, Aux only modifies the level of push. So keeping aux low purposely (Aux2Bat) allows more use of these powers without scrambling the enemies across the map and pissing off your…
This definitely works. I run almost the exact same setup on a Tac Vesta. Only differences being that I the TBR and PSW spots switched. Also I can run BFAW and APB. Otherwise almost identical. Works good in PvP too actually. Escorts swarm on you thinking easy kill. Then just hit RSP and TBR, there goners. For Doffs I run 3x…
This is true, but theres one major reason why this doesnt play into most fights, atleast in PvP. Yes Feds have more power distributed into more subsystems. Which is an advantage in a long term fight. But since the cloakers stay cloaked, strike quick, and then disappear again, the engagements are rarely long enough for that…
Ill edit and post the build in the First Post. 1. I know its not subspace jump because they do it 3-4 times in a row against people. plus there is no sound or animation. They do this "maneuver" the entire match against everyone. 2. Im running AP weapons.
Sorry, mistake when filling out the skillpoints (holding a cranking 7 month old baby when I was doing it). Those 3 points are actually in aux on last column. Figured getting a boost for heals might be worth the last few points.
This is what I changed my Fleet Defiant too after some recommendations here and on the organizedpvp channel. http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=renddefiant2_0 Still feels 50/50 to me. I cant either destroy a player in 1-2 passes. Or can spend the whole match firing at 1 person and never drop a shield facing. So far…
Hello All. So normally I fly a Galaxy X with 4 single cannons / 4 turrets, and really only use CRF1. I normally do pretty decent actually beside having a scrap heap for a ship. So i finally caved in and bought a Fleet Tactical Escort Retrofit. My build is http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=renddefiant_0…
I just have 1 question I did not see adressed. And I could be totally misunderstanding. You are using fbp3 on cooldown. And using aux2bat to reduce its cooldown. However fbp requires high aux to do much of anything. Aux2bat drains aux to nothing. Even with the use of an aux battery every chance you get, fbp3 would still be…
Anyone feel like sharing their builds for the Galaxy X? It seems most builds you can find around the forum are outdated (which makes sense as the ships has been slowly left behind and not optimal, so less people still playing with it). I run a pretty standard Aux2Bat build with it. With a few variations. I run full borg so…
Tbr damage is based of particle skill and consoles. The push is based off aux. Run low aux or hit aux2bat before tbr, you get loads of damage and barely push them 2k awsy.
Still working on getting the embassy consoles, so just have normal ones. But ive been running this on my Tac Vesta Lately 3 plasma DHC/3 plasma turrets TT1, CRF1 EPtE1, AtB1, EPtS3 ET1, AtB1 HE1, TSS2, VM1, TBR3 PH1 2 turn+ all resist consoles 4 plasma imbued particle gens 4 plasma energy damage 3 purple tech doffs, 2 vm…
What is everyones thoughts on running a aux2bat build primarily using tbr for max hull damage but running 3 rapid refire transphasics up front. 2 projectile doffs, 2 technicians, 1 tbr doff Seems like a whole lot of hull damage. Or would 3 plasms dhc with all embassy consoles do more plasma dot dmg to hull than the…
i gave this a try as I have a sci vesta w/ a tactical captain... Im not sure what im doing wrong. I used Aux2Batt followed by TBR3 at near pointblank and..... nothing really happens. I push them a little bit, and take them from 100% hull to 98% Hull.... This is with 5 purple particle gens, and maxed particle in skill tree.…
So for a few weeks now I have been running a dual aux2bat build. Using 4 single cannons up front, 3 turrets and KCB in aft. I have DEM3. In STF's this does pretty well. Im usually one of the top DPS'ers. However in PvP, Im still not effective at all. Im guessing its because im an engineer and not a tact officer. Lined up…
I did have 2 ideas I wanted to bring up and see what people thought. Mind you I mostly do ESTF's but am really interested in getting into PvP. Idea 1: With 3 purple tech doffs, i am able to get run 2 different Ept powers, with only a 1 second delay, using only 1 Aux2Bat. Using only 1 Aux2Bat still helps reduce cool down on…
What is a good bridge officer layout if one was to NOT go the dual aux2bat setup. While i do like aux2bat, there are many way in which is does not best on the dreadnought. First with 2 ensign tactical BoFFs, you actually only need 1 TT with dual a2b. And since we run cannons, there is no second good ensign tac ability, so…
Is the 4 Single Cannon / 4 Turret still a good build in todays PvP enviroment? Ive been running this build almost exactly cept I have a Kinetic Cutting beam in back in place of 1 turret. I tried running it with the same BoFF skills seen in Hakaishins videos. But since I have 3 purple technician Boffs,I also tried a dual…
