  • Same here. I asked in chat, and it seems that it affects everyone.
  • I propose this solution: Make the token downgradable, but at a 1:1 ratio - so you'd be able to claim any 1 item from the phoenix-store. Of course that item you buy would become character-bound, and have a sell-value of zero ec. It can not be tradable or convertable into any kind of currency, just like all other…
  • No, the copyright belongs to Nickelodeon. That's a different thing. I'll try to explain that, but it's not 100% accurate. I'll try to keep it simple as this would go way beyond the scope of this forum. When you create an original work, it is your intellectual property. You own the copyright. You can sell a copyright, but…
  • That was my understanding as well, but licensing doesn't work that way. Cryptic either has the license or they don't. There isn't a license for NPC-ship, a license for playable ship or a license for lockbox-ship. It's an all-or-nothing thing. If they had the license, they could do whatever they want, including putting it…
  • ...nor the license to use it in the game IIRC
  • That rumor was just the result of speculation and wild guesses when cryptic announced the admirality-system.
  • Collecting the probes will appear as mission-objective when you are on the right map and correct stage of the mission. So keep an eye on the objectives, and when you see it don't leave the map and try not to complete the current mission-stage until you have found it. Granted, this is of limited help in "the vault", but…
  • I completely agree with you, and the (few) players who use it like that aren't the problem. The problem are the masses of players who join a public queue, immediately fly to a position where (at least some) enemies will appear, activate jellyfish-mode and then AFK the mission. They are not doing well. In fact they hardly…
  • The jellyfish is a unique type of ship and it certainly has interesting (and perfectly valid) strategical use. The only problem is that it can be (and fequently is) used to go AFK circumvent the AFK-penalty. The solution is simple, and there's no need to nerf anything: When determining if the player was AFK, disregard all…
  • ..and that site-to-site transport only works if the correct transporter-loacation is unlocked. Sure, you technically don't need the unlock to do the endeavour. You can always wait (or get lucky) for an Altert in the staging area.
  • Just to let you know, the 10-prisoners endeavour has a different version for KDF characters where you need to turn in 10 tribble carcasses. This is much faster (only 1 doff mission) provided you have the carcasses. They are easily produced, but "semi-timegated", so just make sure you always have 10 when the endeavour comes…
  • Since when do ships from primary faction playable races go into a lockbox? We've been waiting so long for a canon gorn ship. This should be an account-unlockable C-store ship.
  • ah, ok, I see it now. I thought this meant "2 points required to earn 1 daily progress" If you can actually get 2 daily progress per day it works out of course. Thanks.
  • ummm.. wait a minute... From May 9th at 8am PT to June 8th at 12pm PT, you can participate in The Looming Threats event. so that's 32 days. The Grand Prize requires 40 daily progress, and Captains can earn daily progress once per account per day how exactly is this supposed to work?
  • Great job! I'm sure you logged quite a few hours of overtime sorting this out. Thank you all for the hard work.
  • It's not so much about the "few points", but the special abilities the actually affect your playstyle (If you want to make good use of them), thinks like "space flanking" (intel) or "danger zone" (Pilot).
  • Maybe you're up to something. I've also noticed an increasingly large number of "InvalidEntityName"-ships before the game broke down.
  • Thanks, this is very appreciated, but I'm not really happy with the new page-layout. The huge menu-frame on the left side is taking unreasonable amounts of screen real estate. Could you please turn this into a mouse-over-popup/dropdown-menu at the top of the page, and use the entire screen-width for the content-frame?
  • I don't think these are actual cumulative patches. Looks more like the launcher is randomly redownloading large parts of the game. When you "force verify" it always finds missing files.
  • Specialisations should definitely stay a choice, a part of your build, not an endlessly stacking power creep thing. We already got endeavours for that, and I'd like my alts to have different abilities. I don't switch Specialisations around either. They are part of the build, period. A Ground/Space split on the other hand…
  • Congratulations, that's an amazing pack. I even like the goodies you threw in on top of the ships - and thanks for not bundling the ships with the max-level-boost. Definitely going to buy this on release.
  • You realize that you necro'd a thread from 2019, right?
  • I keep checking the patch notes every week and i'm quite disappointed that there is still nothing on the new fleet doff contribution system. This is in a semi-functional state since months now. The combination of* direct contribution to coffers not yet working and * contribution from overflow bag already disable makes…
  • You do realize that most people play random, don't you? We don't get to choose the map. All we get to choose is the difficulty, so you just take your benchmark testing to Elite where it belongs? Thank you.
  • I agree with valoreah here. Having a power-creep build does certainly not make you a "better" player. I've tried this once and it was terribly boring - and I got nowhere near 600k DPS before I stopped. Only doing Space-barbie builds since. That's much more fun. When Borg-cubes die within seconds, you should now that…
  • As I saied before, this is more or less true if you play on easy. The Klingons will prioritize players, and being near them is (almost) enough to protect the ships. On higher difficulties they will go for the escaping ships. ...on easy - and this is true for every TFO on easy. All failure-conditions are disabled on easy…
  • Exactely. When you play it on easy (unfortunately that's the only difficult available during the event), the klingons aren't very aggressive towards the escaping ships, and you can't fail it, even if the ships are destroyed. You just get a small penalty on the Marks-reward. Try it on elite and you really have to work hard…
  • That's because killing enemies is not the mission objective in SB1. Defending the escaping ships is. Stay close to them, engage all enemies that attack those ships and what you do matters. If you're just killing enemies on the other side of the map, it doesn't matter and you're just wasting your time. Personally I enjoy…
  • Yes and no. Historically, commodore wasn't an actual rank, but a job description. It referred to a captain of a ship given command of a group of ships, typically called a squadron, for a certain amount of time or a certain mission. During that time/mission he outranks the captains of the other ships in his squadron, but…
  • I have to agree with throst here. This is the 2nd anniversary pack in a row that features only terran ships, and they are not even legendary. I understand last year, since this was the year you did the terran arc, but I thought it's over now, and I was expecting something new. Klingons got very little from anniversary…
