PWE can make more money off from us using the Lobi Store then the Z-Store, that everything is showing up there. Ya the players don't like it, but PWE is here to make money. If they can get you to spend 3+K Zen on lock-box keys to get 1 uniform part rather then only 1500Z for a bundle, they'll do it. That's the sad shape of…
I'd like to voice my concurrence that the Leeta hotpants are not unlocking on my character either after buying the pack. I check the "Uniform - Pants Tight" a few times for them; safe to say they're not there. I'd like them or my Lobi back! peter
Technically buisness is about making money. In most cases you make more money by meeting the customers needs, but you don't have to. I don't really care for the new ship model or material, but would consider buying it & making it look like my Venture Class but with the T6 slots. peter
I plat an train simulator that reguarly has high-detail models sold in for the game by both the manufacturer and by third-party developers. I think the most they'd sell a fully high-detailed modeled engine for is $10, and even still people aren't that happy with it. One guy try to sell a less-detailed model for $30 and…
Yes and no. Tribble is for testing ships and other parts of the game before they are made public & put on Holodeck. It's for looking for bug & problems. What it is not for is testing ships out to see if you like them or not. Your testing things for Cryptic, not for yourself. In fact if you use the stuff on Tribble as a…
If I had to guess it's probably a mixture of both. If something already exists and is being updated, then it's replacing that, if it's a new thing it's going to add it on. So no you aren't going to see an added 7gb to your playtest folder; but you will see some expansion. peter
I believe MACO had a camo-like uniforms. Maybe if we can get their ENT uniforms in game you can have Camo. http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs49/i/2009/186/6/0/MACO_Reference_Sheet_by_Groovygoddess.jpg peter
Just a quick clarification on a few points. Shields: Escorts don't get an additional shield to the front, but their shields are re-balanced to favor the front (so the sides & read have less) Slipstream: I'm not talking like a whole animation cut-scene like thing for when you go into Slipstream. Currently Slipstream…
It's been stated numerous times that Club 47 is still under construction and will reopen at a later date. The only thing that is truly gone & won't be back is the stateroom. peter
I'm not sure the mission requiring him is still being used. I just went thru the tutorial sequence, and when (according to the STO wiki) I was supposed to get the 'Scientific Mandate' mission (basically after you finish the tutorial) I didn't. I've run around ESD talking to everyone I can but can't get that mission. I…
No, the shuttle bay was never made nor intended for you to be able to be in there at one time, the fact that you could was a mistake Taco has said. There might, and if so it'll be a ways down the line, be a cut scene, similar to the departing SFA one, that we get later on. For now you can go to the departing gate area and…
Everything is looking great! There are still some auto-spawn NPCs wearing the old uniforms. The biggest thing I'm seeing now is the horrible textures on Earth from the Sol System map. http://www.hostthenpost.com/uploads/f3084fbc72796950980330166dab1e04.jpg Earth is our home, we know very well what it looks like. I could…
Well most of my comment about ESD are in the Tribble feedback thread; however Taco, I just thought I'd mention that I hope you guys keep some of those Whitebox designs that weren't used kicking around, as I think they could make some really cool other locations! This one in particular I think would go quite well on a…
There are still a number of pathing issues with the NPCs wanderng around. This area in particular is extremely bad. I've drawn the paths I've seen NPCs use on the map here: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i6/PerRock/Star%20Trek/STO/Tribble-ESD/Part%206/screenshot_2014-04-08-21-47-28.jpg~original The NPC at the console…
Taco, could we get a couple replicators in some of the lounges scattered around? I would think you might find a few here and there for people to get their quick lunch before having to return to work. DS9 has some alcoves that are 'lounge-like', and they have replicators. peter
Isn't that also what the Runabouts are for? DS9 regularly ran Runabouts between them and Earth. I would think that a Runabout is even more long distance then a Delta. peter
Ya, currently there seems to be a number of bugs in the initial character creator on Tribble. I made a list of the ones I noticed here (I saw the class one as well, but forgot to write it down) http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1073281 peter
Last I checked there was 4 different types of ships in the Shuttle Bay: Danube, Yellowstone, Work Bee, Type 9 Shuttles. I would presume that what your see is a personnel & cargo shuttlebay. The Fighters would be housed in hangers more geared to combat. As for the Delta Flyer, there isn't really much of a reason why it…
The initial cut scene with Spock is now incorrect & shows the old Sol System space. It should be updated to the new one. Likewise the cutscene of you flying up to your new ship also shows the old Sol System, however you never see both ESD & Earth in the same shot, so the scale is hard to get. But someone who knows the map…
Why not have two load-screen cut-scenes one where your shuttle departs ESD and flies down to SFA & the other in reverse. You wouldn't have to unlock the shuttle bay (although I'm 100% for unlocking it) just have a turbolift that has a "shuttle to ESD" button. You could still see the shuttle bays but not necessarily have…
For the cub, could it be possible to have a pop-up 'enter the club' screen come up but have it inactive? that way people can see that there is a club, but can't actually get to it. Additionally you could pull a "Where's Sulu?" fix and have some NPCs near the club talking about it being closed. peter
The use of the word 'Infirmary' on a space station comes from DS9. Where the primary Medical center on the promenade was called the infirmary. This name change would have been something that Starfleet brought in when they took over control. peter
