Man, this is really mean! Do you really think Mr. Rivera doesn't know exactly all the specific feedback that's been given? That he doesn't know about copy and paste? I don't like this guy but you make him much more stupid than he is. (And he isn't)
I'm afraid you're wrong here. Longtime players seems to be just a waste of time for Cryptic, they make their money with the guys spending their ten bucks and leave after some weeks. It seems to be some kind of "pay-and-get-lost"-business. I don't like it but it seems to get them money.
Ts, ts, that's not very polite! It's really hard to read tucana's post with eyes wide shut! And maybe nobody showed Mr. Rivera (Geko) how to navigate in the forum so show a little more respect!;) Edit: @bareel: "And I cannot fathom why on earth the Host is such an apologist to and for Cryptic" I assume that's the reason…
My apologies, I've been enlightend by Mav from stokedradio and Mr. Rivera himself. The whole game is just making money with people staying a few weeks and spend their ten bucks and then leave. That explains all the "make ist easy for the newbies"-stuff. Looks like many of us are here too long. Mr. Rivera called all the…
That looks like a good idea but there are two really big no-no's: 1) One of the deciders speaks with us? Won't happen, ever. 2) One of the deciders speaks with us on STO-Forum? That's blasphemy!
You mean, 9.5 is desigend for general consumers? To use Taco's example: Pepsi changes the taste of Mountain Dew even though many of the loyal customers don't like the new taste? Seems a bad idea to me. Shouldn't they value the customers they alredy have and try to get new ones?
You mean not every American is warm-hearted, open-minded and friendly? Hey, you're destroying my world! *grin* Must be a nice job to be a dev: Just do what you want and to hell with everybody else. What a shame that I'm to too old to switch jobs
Sorry, I need some help to understand this. I've heard that US-citizens tend to be very, very polite and my question is: Is Tacofangs post just a very polite way to say 'Shut up and P(l)ay!' or am I mistaken? No offense meant, I just want to understand his post.
@ tucana: Thank you! I'm constantly cursing about my lack of English right now and I'm really thankful for your post! @sopwithsnipe: My business deals with more than a few hundered customers and of course I can't talk to everyone. But it is most important to have a daily look at some of the posts and feedbacks. Some…
Are you sure it's a good idea to mention another MMO in a official STO forum? On the other hand, every official who read this thread perhaps died of shame by now. So: Thanks, it looks great!
Thanks for your explanation! To quote myself: "I mean, this isn't a way to do business!" In my business - and I assume not just mine - it's most importand to know the wishes of my customers and I need to know personally not filtered through the minds of my employees. I make the decisions and I'm responsible for the…
So it's not part of their job to know what the playerbase wants? Okay, that explains a lot. And it's not part of their job to look after the reaction to their work? Okay, that explains even more. So they sit in their office and develop what they like and that's it? Really, who would want to hire this kind of devs?? It's…
So because my customers are angry I stop talking with them? Great idea, really. We're not in kindergarden here, dev's get paid, dev's make all decisions so they have to take the heat, that's part of the job.
So only ppl with FB-Account are able to ask questions? Wouldn't it be nice to have our own forum so we don't have to use 3rd-party-hosts? Oh ... wait ...
Sry, but we're not talking about the past. I assume that none of us knows the development of the player base but I assume also that many of us have experienced the fall of other MMO's. What worries me is that the reasons have been more or less the same. No contact to the playerbase, developments that were not welcome and…
Sry, but that's not the point. Of course you can't give us info about the holy grail of PWE/Crytic and I don't need it. I would be really happy to see a dev here from time to time just to be sure you are interested in what we write here. Imo it would help alot to know that devs know about the things we like and(!) things…
I'm sorry but I don't understand why you want to speak with devs? They already told us that it's their job to make the decisions and they won't inform us before new projects are ready - so what's the point? I would be happy if they keep us informed on this forum. A different point is the CM. Wouldn't it be nice to read a…
That's your point? Yeah, it's a generalisation I give you that. Obviously you're missing the my point but because you seem to be interested more in details than in the meaning: My post is adressed to Mr. Lead Content Designer and I'm pretty sure that's not you.
Dear Mr. Lead Content Designer, nobody believes that removing content makes a game better. Personally I don't believe just one of the reasons you gave us in your post. Usually I'd like to ask for the real reasons but to be honest, a game that acts so stupid is not worth the effort. IMHO it's a good time to look for another…
Friend, I don't want to hurt your feelings but this is PWE. Even in the brightest of all possible futures there will be one thing for sure: Never, ever will PWE listen to us.
