I came here just to type the same thing. I could play yesterday (my husband already had the unable to start game client error then), and this morning I saw a patch and now I also get the error.

I think I have something similar going on. I tried to play the last mission of the Delta Quadrant missions, and while trying to beam down to the planet my game crashed. I also had this problems. It kept happening on the first "island" so I could not complete the puzzle there, as I could not reach one of the points I needed to interact with in time. Super frustrating.

I had the same problem, very annoying as you then have to abort the mission and get the 30 minute penalty for abandoning a mission
