I can confirm running into this on Holodeck on a system with 16 GB RAM and a Core i7 3770K CPU with an AMD Radeon 7970 with only STO running. (hardly maxed out by any means). Occurs on a fresh install (fully updated though) of Windows 8.1 64-bit. I've got all the latest drivers for my HW.

That may be by design as not to punish people who have the game legitimately crash on them during gameplay, through no intention of their own. Why should they be punished for something beyond their control? :) Just a guess, but that may be the devs thinking on situations like the one you described.

I support this, even if it's sold in the store and not free. This would likely be a cash cow as many, many players would gladly pay for a swimwear pack.

Edit: I had trouble finding the "off duty" drop-down selector but it turns out they moved it from the "Uniform" screen to the "Head" screen for some reason with LoR.
