  • Y'know, I wonder if the '6 episodes' thing is actually because the Dominion faction gets a decent number of personal missions, and the 6 episodes refers to 6 cross-faction, endgame episodes to get to level 65.
  • As someone who came late to this party, I still don't really understand why the Lukari ships look like this at all. I know that they're recieving help from the more powerful Alpha Quadrant factions, but I'd think that "help" would not be the same as "creating entire cutting-edge ships for them." Logically, their ships…
  • I am really hoping for a Geneva-class (The science command cruiser) but obviously that's just wishful thinking and won't happen, so meh... At least give away a T5 ship nobody ever gets D:
  • Because, whether we like it or not, this is the only Star Trek game in town. Because people usually ask for content that isn't just more of the same, something that would actually improve the play experience, etc., if you mean ingame content. If you mean the story content, well, people are jaded. Jaded people tend to poke…
  • It has been explained several times why something like that would make no sense... Cardassia isn't strong enough to constitute its own full faction. If anything, the Cardassian Union is one of the minor powers that should have actually gotten the treatment that the RR did; unlike the Romulans it didn't take a bunch of…
  • To khl'Dlruhh. Your offspring, khl'Ihhkuul, was strong, and before them and their comrades the weak perished in scores. I regret to inform you, however, that he(?) had taken the form of one of those known as "redshirts," whose death, weak or strong, is inevitable. If there is a place for the honored dead among the qa'meH…
  • Is Kagran even trying? Most humans who'd been around Klingons for long enough can generally make what at least looks like an honest attempt at a Klingon condolence(?) letter... Surely Kagran, Mr. Instant Iconian Sympathizer Just Add Iconians, can do the same for humans? ...But yeah, may Johnson's plasma-burnt remains float…
  • This is not a bad episode per se... It just felt underwhelming, somehow, and a lot of the stuff made no sense. I don't care how desperate you are, you shouldn't fly a Krenim timeship if it can only fire twice and can so easily have its temporal shielding disrupted... Annorax's version…
  • I really did love this episode. It's a shame that most of those before it were just big failfests. (Broken Circle... ugh) Uneasy Allies, Blood of Ancients, and Time in a Bottle were okay, and arguably Delta Flight was tolerable... but that's only half the season. I miss the Breen arc. >.> Anyway. Aside from the…
  • So, in other words, to have fun, wait for a special seasonal grind that's supposed to be fun because we can't do it all the time.
  • I fully agree; the new Klingon and Fed designs (And one or two of the Romulan ones) are starting to look more like toys, a lot less serious and a lot less aesthetically consistent with every single other ship of those races we've seen before.
  • Heh... I like these ships (besides the D'khellra which has awkward skis for nacelles) but just how many 30-dollar ships and expensive 3- and 9- packs can you sell before people get tired of this TRIBBLE, Cryptic? Personally, I stopped even considering buying any new ships when T6 hit, because I know that Cryptic will…
  • ...So? The fact that Pilots can't do the same awesome things in (say) a B'rel as in a specialized pilot ship, doesn't mean they suddenly magically can't lock their ship's trajectory while turning or perform a microwarp jump to support an ally. Or, for that matter, reroute reserve power to the weapons arrays... We see…
  • Uh, guys... it's a damn game, and Sela doesn't know everything. Presumably there were a few hundred thousand of those Quas Cruisers (Or were they Vonph dreadnaughts? All the big Herald ships kind of look the same.) and they were basically blotting out the sun in the local area... Along with the visibility of the still-lit…
  • Cryptic, this is probably the last time this trick will be worth pulling, and barely at that. Either add hybrid seats (Even if they're just Ens. or Lt.) to T5-U, make the T6 hybrid seats non-spec-specific, or something... I don't see how creating full sets of new bridge officer powers just for five regular ships and two…
  • Umm, lolno. There are several issues with this post. 1) As someone who enjoys story content and RP-type stuff more than PvP or even PvE, they haven't been treating us particularly well, either. No Origin bridge, they've officially said that they don't want to have to make any more KDF story content, etc. Argh. 2) Fixing…
  • Banning those who say things you don't like just because you cannot admit to them is not honorable either.
  • All I'm going to say about this is that releasing new specializations is inevitably going to run into diminishing returns... And I think that diminishment will start to become evident starting around now. After the Delta Pack (Intel ships) and Command ship 3-packs/9-pack, I don't think that whatever ships will be released…
  • Oooh, fancy, an anti-bleeding-out polymer. Pretty cool, actually. Hope I never have to get that stuff stuck in me, but... it's good to see these things developing.
  • That's a COUNTEREXAMPLE, not an example. He means to add more ACTUAL choices that DO matter and don't just throw you canned responses and canned results. I hate to cite SWTOR in this like everyone else, but... See SWTOR for an instance in which this was successful. Yes, but in-story the characters "really did" face moral…
  • I'm sorry, but as much as for better or worse it's very heavily based in singleplayer campaign instances and not an open-world design, this is a f***ing MMO. Yes, only our character did all of the things they did in solo missions, from our perspective. But do the ranks only apply in solo missions? No! You can check any…
  • Yeah, this is pretty much my issue, Dirletta. I didn't pay for an LTS (Thank the gods) but STO doesn't seem to be the game it was back when I hit level 50. The grind seemed daunting then, but after the rebalance of reputations and the addition of the Undine and Voth battlezones I was kind of hoping things would go in the…
  • Yaay, a free character slot? Time to make that Fed Alien I always wanted. (That said, once he hits level 50 I'm done with him unless they give out free XP or have a triple-XP event or something.) It might be cost effective to fix the issues, actually, in the long run. VERY cost effective. Thing is, apparently either…
  • No-win scenario. Either way, what we end up with is Jadzia Idaris or whatever, not Jadzia Dax.
  • Bread and circus, bread and circus... They may not have the resources to deliver a quality product in a decent time frame, but if they artificially extend play time with grinding for Reputation, XP, Spec Points, and other things, distract the majority of the playerbase with weekend events and keep adding shinies for them…
  • Are you... ****ting me.... I normally try to be fair about what Cryptic does, even if it's a rerelease like the Pathfinder (I like the Pathfinder despite what it is; it's a nice-looking ship and if I had the Zen sitting around I'd gladly buy it even if I had the T5 Intrepid.) But this. Re-releasing a lockbox ship as…
  • Yes, your free time is free, I suppose, but only in the same sense that your spending money is "free." You choose where to put it, but you're still paying and once it's gone it's gone.
  • I agree... It's great to celebrate his life and all, but some people don't seem to be putting it in perspective at all. On the upside, at least the Vulcan map has a use now. :P
  • The game is built to have a tradeoff for a reason... If Sci ships could just fit tons of weapons that draw from their Aux power, then why the hell would people want to fly an escort?
  • I would pay 20 bucks for a Cetacean bridge officer that flies around in a hoversuit. I'm sure some of the "whales" of STO would gladly pay for a full away team of them. ;D
