Try using the drone in a story mission. Seems to work fine. Don't think it's set up to work on nimbus or new romulus etc

If you have not been receiving the bonus dil. Check your inventory there mit be an EVENT BONUS REWARD box. If there is try too use it see if it works. All my bonus dil is in them and they or bugged.

Bought out at the start. Same as op no timer on dil bonus but it kept going up considering I got screwed over with the bonuses in the First contact day event. When I bought out I, m not complaining. But some reward payments or with bonus reward boxes which or bugged. Or the devs ever going to fix them.

If you buy out early. There's a big chance you will receive your dill bonuses in event bonus reward boxes. These boxes or bugged and cannot be opened. They cannot even be destroyed

Same problem on console. Once activated it disappears. And nothing happens.

KIDD DRONE just dissapears as soon as you activate it. Tried it out on nimbus were there's plenty to kill to test it. Other wise it just follows you around and stays intact firing every 10 secs or so. Very weak fire power as well.

I buy out because I can. And it means I save time filling the 8k quota on characters faster each day. Having 12 characters to fill takes time.
