then why are people suddenly dying for no reason when it happens? and without dmg being recorded in the log? is it possible for their to be 'negative heals' that remove health, but are portioned as heals, and not as dmg?
exactly, it happened to me again today during a terran run.. went from 100% to dead in 2-3 seconds with no dmg listed on the log, just 'heals give x' the ship has multiple self heals while shooting, maybe it's some sort of combo? SAG+ Plasmonic + Traits?
it seems to be occurring randomly, and honestly, I'm not sure its the sag- every now and then, the ship takes massive dmg from an unknown source, killing it, and the dmg box reads things like this.. (I took a better pic) this only happens on my scimitar, and I didn't see anything in the dmg log when I scrolled through it,…
I think I spent about 45 mins trying to collect solar particles and they were clearing every few seconds, so after 45 mins I still had zero. god do I ahe these mini games- worse when they are bugged.
how about 'more stories' the problem with almost all of the current content is the 'captain' never makes any decisions, they just do what whatever officer tells them to do. a better plot tree type story, with multiple options, would help a lot for repeated play through
No, the OP would have preferred it if it was more like the mazes in swtor, if you are going to do a maze- the jump to get the datacron side things can get downright entertaining; you can see it, but then you have to figure out how to get it, and it's pretty darn challenging at times. all the 'puzzles' in this were dumbed…
the new 5 year event mission its stupid, full of instant kills that just send you back,, and those bridges are annoying as hell for someone who carriers a grenade launcher and a batleth. and why would a Klingon help that annoying twerp anyway ??
a retrun to rihansu dlc, with pvp, and political marks... and at the end of the season, the romulans captains with the most political marks get the title of 'praetor' and the one with the most gets 'emperor/ empress' because whats good about a civil war if you can't shoot friends?
the fun thing is it scales to over 170k with crits and proper build, applied to 2.5 km radius. plasma torpedoes are hard to use, but hilarious in combat when used well.. I have them on like six toons now- it's by far my favorite torpedo tricks: fly into the enemy, then fire, leaving a trail of death as you pass on the…
it's my favorite ship; with my current build, has a very effective shield penetration chance, plus plasma dmg which always penetrates shields. toss out a grav well ( sci can also be used while cloaked), then hit with the destabilized (insane dmg, over 2,5 km area) followed by either emissions torp or other favorite that…
according to the rihansu books, the area the romulans settled was very poor, with few life sustainable planets, and no major other races. that's how Saavik joined the federation - her romulan colony failed, and was rescued by a federation starship, with spock onboard. so not a lot of folks to choose from to begin with.…
furthermore, one of the worlds in the romulan sector is named after her :) so the house is there, even if the history is different. (ps.. most of my toons names come from those books, so lol) that said, and not to get into politics, plenty of democracies, while feeling under threat, have had secret police forces. MI5, CIA,…
there is a cost curve depending on the level and rarity of the item; it's pretty easy to make a tII very rare, and then have it go gold just by upgrading- I have a few consoles like that now. total cost, maybe 20k to get it to XIV gold? but the rep stuff starts at XII purple, meaning you are at the very steep end of the…
ive done it, but thinking about it, I don't remember getting any mods; the damage went up, but this is probably because I got it to a higher level but not higher rarity. currently ive been trying to up the rarity on my hyper torp, but as it costs me 1.5k dill for each 1% increase in upgrade chance it's going slooooowly.
the problem is that some of the advanced elite missions the timers are so tight that all it takes is one bad player- or one run of bad luck- to make it unwinnable. after ,multiple fails and lots of wasted time, people just don't play those anymore
I played through all the original omega missions for quite some time, still have my original anti borg phasers :D so I am familiar, and don't see the difference; the missions that reward the 'expensive' materials have arbitrary and random fail conditions - to the point where you have to grind over and over and over just to…
this is largely a replay of the same problems they had with the original omega system; and much like that, consumer pressure will eventually get to the point where they change it to some sort of exchange/ rep system when you realize the sheer amount of aragonite you need to get a romulan hyper torp to xiv gold, farming it…
ive played a fleet t'varro plasma boot for a year, and I love - its my fave to fly among my seven, even if not the best dps . my only thought is an advance warning to you: IMO, the romulan hper torp is insanely expensive to try and upgrade to gold; I have a 16 in torp science and have spent well over 100k dill and still…
agreed; I spent about 20 mins the other day waiting to see if one stf with the mats I needed would que... and then we all lost in the first two mins because the 'no win' condition is, frankly, inane. which is why no one plays it ;) that's why there is such a huge price difference between the mats, some need a dedicated…
do you have the full set? if so, (I do) there is really only one build: as you can sue science powers and fire torps while cloaked (except for the half second while firing) use some variation of a torp/ grav well boat note this means running with no shields (ever) so get decent armor it also means people rarely shoot at…
Good points I suspect the demand for certain items will increase, and continue to do so; my own experiments with trying to get my XIV romulan hyper torp from purple to gold show it is going to be a very, very long slog indeed; millions and millions of ec spent on materials every day, the real limit is the 8k dillithium…
