  • Ooo, some more attention to hair. I'm hoping at some point we're opening up the hair choices (male and female) to allow more species access to the Gothic Long, Swoop and Wavy Long hairstyles, and giving us Lorca and Landry's hairstyles too. I love that idea. Or a trade option to get Phoenix Prize Packs or Lobi with GPL.
  • I kinda wish they redid the Lobi Scavenger Hunt, I still have partially completed accolades from it and they are annoying me. I know they're just accolades... but I've got that kind of completist personality.
  • Oh! That's wonderful! It's been bugging me because I'm a completist and I had to leave the bundled patrol episode open on some alts to team up on patrols. Now I can close it! :) And I'm happy you resolved the stuck in the Academy thing, but can you guys look into making the tutorial replayable?
  • Finished it, enjoyed it a lot but I want to note 3 things: 1) There's a point in the story where I finished the objectives in the wrong order and that was a little confusing. 2) Sela's face does look really strange. I guess some wear and tear would result from a year of captivity and experimentation, but it doesn't look…
  • That would be great, very immersive.
  • Would you sign your name to the intel report that said there were only 500 of these guys? Every faction, including the Feds themselves, should be teasing Starfleet intelligence about this one for the rest of the game. There should be dialogue options to quote this dev blog and voiceover of the flagship Captains griping…
  • I like the ground design. You did really get the feeling of fighting a villain from another era.
  • Don't take this to mean I'm not looking forward to the expansion, but I feel bad for whoever has to wade through all these posts to count #DeltaRising mentions. I hope they give you the day off afterwards.
  • While I totally believe Starfleet would put spies in reflective gear (they just don't get espionage), I can't imagine why the Romulans are doing that. That said, I do like the pattern. It looks nice and I likely will buy it on its own. It's just not terribly stealthy,
  • My guess is the Federation goes into the Delta Quadrant to explore and ends up signing the whole alliance on for a new war.
  • Haven't you ever heard of a No-Prize? Plot holes are no fun to just leave as plot holes. We are carrying on a long tradition of fans from all media using the plot holes and mess-ups by writers to come up with a creative solution to keep the fictional universe intact. It lets you flex your creative muscles and sometimes…
  • Wow, that's quite a list of updates. Since you did work on some of the hairstyle and costume stuff, I was wondering if you were going to make the male Romulan hairstyles like swoop available to other factions. How about long wavy and Gothic, which are currently only available to Romulan female characters?
  • We've mentioned DPS channels and elite pug lines.... Is there a casual pug channel, then? For people who just need someone to team up with to play without being frustrated and who aren't worried about if they fail the mission?
  • Well, the gear score idea is not better and I think worse. Maybe they should just leave it all alone.
  • I still say it should go like this: LVL 30 -- Captain LVL 40 -- Rear Admiral LVL 50 -- Vice Admiral LVL 60 -- Captain Come on, Cryptic. Demote us. Demote us all. Make the promotion to lvl 60 mission a real mission where you get to make a choice that breaks the rules but saves a bunch of people so you keep your job but get…
  • Two things: 1) I said in there it wasn't a perfect idea. But if you pay attention, they would have to ACTUALLY hit the console themselves. They'd at least have to try and fulfill each role of the mission. It wouldn't get everyone, but it would get some of them. Unlike a gear score that they can just buy their way past. 2)…
  • The big problem is that there's no reliable way to gauge skill. That guy with decent gear and no skill can still tank your objective and then blame everyone else because he's used to being carried and thinks he's a good player. Gear Score doesn't solve that, all it does is turns that guy into a by-the-numbers Elitest and…
  • Just a thought. Look, we have an imperfect system but pretty much every change suggested will cause more trouble than having a bad pick-up group now and then.
  • The second part is terrible, the first has merit. Suppose there was a little pop up of your chief medical officer ordering you to sick bay instead if you try to queue with injuries. Or your Chief Engineer telling you the ship can't take it.
  • How about, and bear with me on this... an Accolade score. Think about it. You get accolades for collecting equipment, for doing those lore missions, and for exploring the areas. We get them for playing missions and STFs. We get them for commendations. If someone has all the exploration accolades, they know how to move…
  • That is one of the problems with the Prime Directive. It was interpreted so simplistically in some episodes and challenged so creatively in others. The examples you gave are all ones where in the series they do interfere. There's still times when the only solution is to evacuate, though. A star going Nova, or a…
  • Why don't we give them a little gold star to collect? Nothing that's worth anything, but something to make them feel better.
  • Yeah, I can't close chat. I keep thinking someone might need to speak to me for an actual purpose and not just to be a jerk. With the optionals no longer optional in Advanced, I am definitely not closing chat. Seriously. I think, though, this might solve that. The BNPs will be available, from how it sounds, on the Advanced…
  • Anyway talking that much during an STF isn't putting a lot of effort into the actual gameplay. Adding another level of difficulty isn't going to make these guys better people but maybe they'll be busy enough they don't have time to flap their yaps all mission.
  • If the Advanced and Elites were locked until you completed the optional on the Normal, this would happen less because new people would do the Normal first and at least learn the strategy there. Can't stand those rage-quitters, though. Usually they aren't all that good themselves either. Either way, I don't think its the…
  • A Talaxian would be odd, so would an Ocampan. But how about a Xindi? They just adapted the NPC creator make Xindi primates and Reptilians, why not offer them as a new playable species with the expansion? Or some other canon species that isn't in the Delta Quadrant but they've figured out how to create?
  • Yeah, a kick would be too easy to abuse. Look at it this way. In STFs I've seen the following dysfunctional behaviors: Leeching, when a player will just stand there and do NOTHING in an queue (and in the Dyson battlezone, you see them just sit by the Silos). Quitting, when a player will drop out early in an STF after…
  • Could you try one more thing? Could you make these unlockable. This was an idea my fleetmate had (actually, he wanted a whole separate mission to unlock Elites but I don't think something so complex is necessary) and I think its a good thought. I think you should look into only having Normal open at first and then…
  • Its weird, because you can (and should, to get the whole story) play all three. That would be a good idea, it would reflect the technology sharing and the faction identity.
  • Its not the arrowhead, its the angles. Dauntless looks like a rounded Prometheus or Voyager hull with undersized nacelles. The Eclipse is blocky and clunky, like someone took a knife and cut strips off a larger Federation ship and got distracted before he finished whittling.
