I suspect that's just a function of the decreased activity typical of the summer. Namely that the F2P grinders are less active during the summer, while P2W casuals are slightly more active.

Creating a use for unrefined dilithium would equally reduce the rate of inflation. To answer the question in your thread title, technically it will never stop. The rubber banding is a side effect of Cryptic's netcode. No, it's just BFAW that's the problem. AP is the least process intensive energy weapon type.

My entire point is that they're replaced too quickly, and/or reapply their disables too soon. There's little counterplay. Either you're already running BFAW, which is the only AOE that can actually keep up with the spawn rate, or you can do what I do and just keep focusing on the enemy ships, disables and deaths be damned.…

Don't forget to be vigilant in verifying that your subscription has been cancelled, and that in subsequent months you're not "accidentally" billed. Cryptic may not be the worst offender in this regard, but practically every MMO has its share of billing issues and billing "issues."
