  • I wonder how Cryptic will handle the differences between the STO timeline and the Picard timeline? If it were me I'd go with seperate timelines/universes just like they did with the Kelvin timeline. That way we could deal with Picard content via visiting their timeline/universe for a mission or two and at the same time be…
  • Oh, another R&D promo pack ship. And another ship well beyond my league since I seldom spend actual money on this game. The chances of actually getting the ship are probably about as bad as those Phoenix Boxes bought with dil. Between my various characters I must have opened at least 500+ boxes by now and have never gotten…
  • Well colour me surprised. But good for Cryptic that they actually fixed the issue. I always liked the Benthans and am happy to hear the ship was fixed. If I ever have a spare few k zen I might even get one.
  • Yes I remember that. The Benthan cruisers flying backwards. And yeah I also doubt it's been corrected either. ;)
  • Thank you for explaining this to me. At least it makes a bit of sense now though really if they knew they weren't going to be remastering them for awhile Cryptic shoulda put the old ones back in place for the timebeing.
  • In my case while most of my characters are Fed characters I do have some characters that are Romulan, Klingon and Dominion. I have two normal Fed characters, my human tac and ex-borg human engineer, AoY human sci and alien Disc sci. I also have a Romulan tac, a Klingon engi and a tac vanguard jem'hadar as my main…
  • If I had plenty of money to spend, sure I might drop the Zen for the whole pack since I don't consider the contents of this "deal" worth the asking price at all. But honestly all I want is one of those ships the T6 temporal ship. Nothing else. Sometimes I wonder if those at Cryptic and/or Perfect World worship the Ferengi.…
  • My vote was a resounding 'no.' There are already playable liberated Borg as part of the LTS. They can look as "borgified" as the player wants. Add in a few borg parts from the reputation and players can make their ships looks suitably assimilated. I see no point to adding an entire faction. That's not mentioning if it were…
  • Yes I remember that episode/scene. Btw I haven't really played in a long while. What do I use to reverse the effects of that persistent shield-drain move they have?
  • Though I'm not Romulan, that was a very good video that deserves recognition and praise. It makes a good case for both kinds of Romulan though of course I prefer our Republic allies over the Tal Shiar and those clustered under a dead raptor's wings.
  • Thank you, with the Jem'Hadar they were recently released with a huge infusion of ships. I wasn't sure what approach Cryptic would take with them. I'm still not sure really, I've opted to take a 'wait and see' approach. On a personal level I play a Romulan to fly faction ships, warbirds. I waited a long time for a T6…
  • Well, its an interesting attempt to breathe life into the dead queues and for that I hope it works. I do agree there should be two seperate lists for ground and space STFs.... TFOs since most players seem to hate/avoid ground STFs. But me personally? I won't be using this feature. When I play an STF its usually because I…
  • Well, I was very unhappy with Cryptic's decision to let the Romulans be able to use pretty much any SF or KDF T6 ship but SF and KDF can't use any warbirds, but I guessed it was because they were planning to cut down the number of warbirds they'd be releasing. Glad to see that I was correct but its still a terrible idea…
  • Adding my own appreciation towards the Devs here. Given what they're working with, for the most part they make a fun and entertaining game and I appreciate the time and effort they put into giving us a Star Trek experience. That being said there's room for improvement. I sort of wish they'd get their writing sorted out…
  • Aesthetically the Scryer. I think its a smart idea to have a ring of labs seperate from the body of the ship. But performancewise the T6 Vesta.
  • That's not really my point. Having released stuff in a lockbox before hasn't stopped Cryptic when it came to the two different types of Xindi Boxes. All I was saying is that it would have been nice to see something from the Bajorans and Cardassians in this DS9 box, even if they were small and cosmetic like some of the…
  • As far as I can tell, the Jem'Hadar starter ship is a version of the T5 Attack Ship. A slightly stripped down version of the Lockbox Attack Ship that dominated the game for years before T6 ships were released. It seems fair to me. Everyone gets an Jem'Hadar Attack Ship, but its still inferior to the Lockbox version so…
  • Setalia, I might not really be a Kurland fan but I don't mind him. I feel quite neutral towards him. He didn't bother me much really. As for this lockbox I'm very disappointed to see nothing really to do with Bajorans and Cardassians, two species that played HUGE roles in Deep Space Nine over the seven seasons.
  • I've been meaning to watch some DS9 on the run up to ViL. Most of these are a good list though I refuse to watch any of the silly Ferengi based episodes.
  • That's not the only weird thing that's not skippable. In the Delta Quadrant arc, you absolutely cannot skip the first part of Kobali ground, and if you start it, then drop it hoping to skip, all DQ and Idiot.... I mean Iconian War missions are greyed out and unable to be done. My Temporal Character experienced this. I…
  • That's kind of my point. The Klingon was incredibly stupid to think a Starfleet Captain would hand over a Federation citizen based solely on his word, and that by even asking for evidence was very reasonable on the Starfleet Captain's part.
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one struck by the sheer stupidity of the Klingon Captain of the P'Jem mission. Seriously, given that the Klingon is an enemy combatant from a faction the Starfleet Escort to the 'ambassador,' the sheer fact that the Starfleet Captain was even prepared to entertain the notion from a sworn enemy is…
  • Personally I always went with the theory that the Jem'Hadar were created from scratch by the Founders. Or perhaps that fragments of DNA from several different native GQ species were taken and combined together via genetically engineering to produce the Jem'Hadar. Regardless of the origin of the species I've always felt…
  • In custody eh? How much access did the Federation have to visit? What did the 'perpetrator' actually say? Did it actually say anything directly to a SF Officer or did the Klingons simply make recordings? (Which can be faked.) Did the Klingons actually have an Undine in custody that outright admitted to the infiltration of…
  • I admit I have some misgivings about brand new players being able to pick a lvl 60 Jemmy character right off the bat. I do think it should be restricted to players who have reached at least lvl 50 in one other faction first.
  • The exact reasons as to why J'mpok and the Klingon Empire went to war with the Federation almost don't matter. It was exactly what the Undine and Iconians wanted. J'mpok played into their hands by starting a pointless war that wasted thousands of lives on both sides that almost cost them everything later when the Iconians…
  • Sweet, can't wait to get paid this month so I can preorder a few days befor ViL goes live!
  • Thank you for answering, its appreciated. As for those dreading the idea of a Jemmy in a swimsuit, my reply is this. "Eh, can't be worse than a Reman." (Which I actually have seen. Both genders.)
  • Well for the record I'd like to see the option for a Vorta Captain and bridge officers in the new Dominion faction. If I recall they usually had leadership positions anyway. Is it so hard to say "Odo created combat-ready Vorta alongside his Jemmy Vanguards."
  • Oh nice. Looking forward to when ViL launches with all these new toys to play with.
