Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but is this usable ONLY on Risa, like all other hoverboards? Or is this an actual usable mount for other social zones, or *gasp* zones like Dyson Ground, etc. where it would be USEFUL to have a mount with somewhat higher speed to get around. Will it, in fact, move faster…
Yep. Same issues. Can't spend Spec Points, 'cause it needs skills respec'd, 'cause it thinks they're "invalid." Can't respect from ground/space. Go to ESD, respec, but either A) Can't spend all skill points or B) manage to spend all skill points, but can't "Accept" respec with some nonsense message about "cannot respec if…
When I was flipping between 'toons collecting my Spec Points promo on each of them, I started noticing that there was always a bar that says "disabled." Don't know why. Most of my 'toons were just standing around on friggin' Risa after the summer event. Not like I was trying to GO anywhere or DO anything. Seems like the…
Yes, this affects my primary 'toon as well. I claimed today's 2 free specialization points on my Lvl 60 'toon. It won't let me spend the spec points, claiming I need to respec my skills first, as it seems to think my skills are 'invalid' for some reason? Ground or Space, I go to skills and click respec: nothing happens.…
Are we talking about powers unlocked through the skill tree system (training 3-6-9 bars in a given skill unlocks power X)? If you still have the skill unlocked, mouse over the skill, it'll tell you that it unlocks the training manual recipe. You'd need to go the the R&D system to the Officer Training section & craft the…
It's called choice. At some point, someone MAY want to use the warp core as part of a set on that character. Then again, they may not. But they want to have the option, and so they get the gear, just in case. Really, as far as I'm concerned, that's all it is. It's not to say they're going to run the exact same build and…
That's about the most absurd thing I've ever heard... That said, some things could certainly be made account-wide without ruining the game, especially "fluff" that offers no in-game competitive advantage (AKA, costume unlocks). Costumes are pretty strictly window dressing. They offer no in-game bonuses, other than making…
WRONG.. WRONG... WRONG... You forgot SPECIES. So, multiply that by about 8. :P And gender, so multiply it potentially by another 2. :P Yes, some people do in fact like to ROLEPLAY andor simply like to create characters of different species/genders. So, your facile analysis is, frankly, stupid. Besides which, even if 18…
#DeltaRising ! Should be sweet. Though the "upgrade" system is little more than a dilithium sink (craftign is already a giant dilithium sink), at present. Ridiculously high priced... There's so much pressure on dilithium already. The Dilithium refinement cap needs to be retooled or removed completely. (My vote: 500 day…
Make sure you have room in your inventory, as I've found that sometimes if your inventory has no available slots, that interferes with the conversion process. Anyway, right click on the old data samples and rare particle traces, click "Use" and it should bring up the conversion store where you can convert to common…
Agreed... All the "unlocks" (character bank, inventory slots, DOFF slots, BOFF slots, costume slots) should be account-wide. Though I'd prefer the "cost" not go up significantly. Seriously, when you have 15 'toons, it would basically break the bank to INDIVIDUALLY buy the maximum number of inventory slots and character…
And, since we're talking about "lifer" memberships & perks or whatnot, I'm still stumping for part of the monthly stipend to be 1-5 master keys per month. I mean, really... Would it kill Cryptic to let us open 1 (or even 5) of our literally hundreds or thousands of lock boxes per month for free? Given our monetary…
Well, it does seem a bit silly that people who have been paying monthly subscriptions long enough to have actually paid MORE than the cost of a lifetime membership should either not "get" a lifetime membership or not get the member bonuses associated with such a "lifer" membership... Though, if STO simply stopped charging…
I really don't see a need to "raise the price" significantly to transition to account-wide. Don't give them any bad ideas. :P Perhaps a "minor" pricing change. like from 600 Zen to 800 Zen or 1000 Zen and then just make the functionality account-wide. But I don't think the price should like double or triple or quadruple or…
Wrong. We're still here. These should simply be account-wide unlocks, likewise, inventory slot additions, likewise bank slot additions. Costume options are already account-wide unlocks (though I wish BOFFs had multiple costume options!), these "service" unlocks should simply be made account-wide. If they were, I'd buy…
Seems to me like some of the currently character-specific unlocks should really be account-wide unlocks. Better value proposition. Tired of having to repeatedly re-purchase the same "services" like inventory slots or bank slots or DOFF slots on each and every character. Seems to me like those things should be account-wide…
Seconded. Need loadouts for captain & BOFFs... So when we switch back & forth between sets for STFs, Nukara, Dyson, etc. we can switch back & forth between loadouts, etc. ot sure why only ships were considered? Need it for Officers, too... Been wanting this for a while. Annoying to have to constantly manually swap in and…
Getting ready to go Dino-hunting... Cropped (above): https://picasaweb.google.com/112680512627015845391/StarTrekOnline#5966368148569770882 https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-EgPUc59iXt4/UszMOE60y4I/AAAAAAAAGoY/Q_aAEtDP_w0/s1280/screenshot_2013-11-16-23-36-41.jpg Original:…
Yeah, I was thinking something similar. There should be some kind of lake "skating" event (requires equipped frosted boots to unlock / participate in), where you can use your flips and tricks, or just generally "jump" over obstacles, jump through hoops, and such. The more things you successfully complete (within some time…
1000% ^^ 1000% THAT ^^ When I bought the "unmelting" snowball I originally thought it was a PERMANENT item. Y'know "unmelting." Permanent? It was a reasonable asumption. Sadly not so. It would be nice to get a "self-replicating snowball" (like the minefield by the DS9 wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant) you could use outside…
As it currently exists, he Winter Tribble is a real pain in the hindquarters. It gets in your inventory, eats all your specialty winter items, can't be traded, can't be sold, can't be given away, can't be recycled. It's irritating. I think it should be able to be given away or sold on the exchange, just like Cryo tribbles.…
Ohh, and I think that, like in the Battlezones, there should be roaming "mini-bosses" that occasionally spawn somewhere on the map (with accolades for killing them all). Yetis, larger snowmen (assimilated Frosty??), etc. I don't think they should come into the command center though... And defeating them should yield winter…
Although it might be hard to automate, I thin it would be amusing to have an emote or a new stance "Brr" be automatically applied (while in Q's Wonderland) if the character isn't dressed warmly enough. So, like, Orions wearing the Risque bra, or women wearing mini skirts. I just think it would be funny if they switched to…
I want to see hats! Hats hats hats. Frosty's silk hat. Elf hat. Santa hat. Turban (head-warmer; honestly want one for my Pika'Lo character)? Would kind of like to see boots too. Elf shoes, santa boots. Wouldn't mind seeing an elf costume and a Santa costume. Maybe a winter cape? White, or even colorable? Maybe some Frosty,…
A "snow flake" version of the Crystalline catastrophe? The Crystalline Entity is a giant snow flake, maybe sheds flying snow men, which when shot break up into flying snowballs. Use some kind of sophisticated "heat weapons" to fight them? Sheeit, I dunno, Just making stuff up.
Okay, you guys threw in an adapted quantum mortar (snowball mortar). How about an adapted Force Field dome shaped like an Igloo, with blue rather than orange color, and with Igloo squarish ice cube block design rather than the current hexagonal shimmer? I'd totally go for that as a purchaseable reward in the Winter Event…
I'd love to see a "Snow Battlezone" like the Dyson Sphere ground battlezone, but in the Gingerbread/snowman theme. I'd totally play that. If it was done well enough... And gave good rewards, etc. I'd also love it if we could beam in our away teams. 2 or all 4. To the battle zone (all 4?) OR to the regular zone (2)? It…
Yeah, recharge time (4 mins) needs to be fixed on this like recharge time needs to be fixed on Nimbus Pirates Distress Call (15 minutes?? Ridiculous!). Maybe more like 2 mins on Snowball Mortar & 3-4 mins on Nimbus Pirates Distress Call. No idea what TRIBBLE they're pulling these ridiculous recharge time numbers out of...
Snow poo... You can absolutely solo-gun it. 'Blower damn near does everything. Okay, maybe it's SLIGHTLY closer range, but it mauls snowmen, sometimes many, many at once. It's quite versatile. I damn near don't use anything else. Though I still want to try the flurry, which I may sub in for my Big One (not impressed with…
Yep, absolutely am, mostly speaking. A bit dangerous when near the "droid army" (err, snowman army) alone, though still reasonably effective (better when there are 2-3 flanking it), but otherwise, just running around, I have no problem running up to / through snowmen and "blowing 'em, down." Works well.
