I'm fine with using pants that already exist, but for God's sake... Make the color palettes MATCH! Someone suggested All Good Things, or Odyssey, which can be made to look fairly similar (despite different palettes). But it would be better to have the same palettes available for both Upper and Bottom.
Incorrect. Per the first episode, it is in fact As for the uniform, while it's nice to see them add it so quickly, it's woefully incomplete, and bugged: - Wrong color palette - No matching pants or shoes - Belts clip into the uniform - Only 2399 style ranks/insignia Would be nice to get the right colors and matching…
Is there a reason Klingon, and Klingon-Aligned players aren't able to access their "Account Bank" from the Freighters? Only possible from a physical bank location like Qo'nos or Ganalda. On my FED characters, no problem.
Bashir was born in 2341. So he's only 70 years old, which in Trek years means "middle age" (Picard was 74 at the end of Nemesis). Humans of the 24th/25th Century live to be at least 140.
The "Generations Galaxy" bridge seen in the 2008 trailer, has NEVER been released to STO, accurately sized or otherwise. There is not a single Galaxy bridge ingame that looks the way it should, regardless of size.
Probably the worst possible excuse you could make. Look at a game like EVE Online (space-based MMO, existed longer than STO). And compare it's visuals to STO). I'm not saying that STO visuals are bad. But EVE is definitely better looking.
I'd like to add one game to the discussion... While not an MMO, DOTA2 essentially threw out it's original engine, and replaced it with an updated "Source 3" engine. Game is pretty old, but the engine is relatively fresh. I am not a programmer, or have any knowledge in the difficulties involved, but I do know it's certainly…
Love the spin you're trying for there... More like, "the system was never given the support it needed" to begin with. It was thrown out there, and never updated. And like most things you guys remove, no replacement will ever be given. Like the so-called "exploration" that was removed. How do you make a Star Trek game…
The Gamma Quadrant was the least explored in any of the shows, which also makes it the one most RIPE for exploration content (the "infamous" new exploration system that was suppose to replace the Genesis System that was removed from the game over a year ago). Exploring the space occupied by the Dominion, with factions who…
Frankly, I'd add the Cloaking Device to this list. It's literally a DEVICE. It's certainly not a "console". Same goes for the Ablative Hull Armor generator from the Intrepid.
This guy's got the right idea. Putting 2 Hangar-based skills at the very top of the tree (for leveling players) is incredibly dumb, as there are no leveling players with a carrier (and pets) until much later in the games progression. Each tier should have skills that benefit "one or the other".
The old skill system "Attack Patterns" skill is removed. And it's effects are made baseline with the Attack Pattern abilities that you and your Bridge officers might have.
The new system has a skill that allows players to increase Accuracy. How about adding other skills like increasing Crit Chance, and Crit Severity? Could do with using some of the "Reputation passives" as ideas for new skills in the revamped system. I'd love to see the new Skill system expanded greatly, to allow players to…
And here's the big question: Will all our previously claimed/earned ships (via any means such as EC, Dilithium, Lockbox or Zen), be able to be reclaimed, and put it into Drydock? I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt forced into dismissing an old ship, to make room on the roster.
Congratulate your web team. They successfully managed to make a TRIBBLE forum software, functionally WORSE. Not to mention, completely broke the "Forum Enhancement" modifications.
I've voted on the ship that has lost, each and every time so far. Why stop now? #TeamAlpha all the way. Naturally the Jupiter-fanboys vote Omega. I've known Omega would win this competition from the start.
#TeamBeta here. Looks more like a traditional Federation ship, especially one that is meant for more "peacetime" and "exploration" rather than all-out war.
It's nice to see, the solution to "fixing" things is plain out disabling them. Don't bother changing mechanics, or code. Just outright disable it instead. Faster, simpler solution.
At the top it says: Home › Star Trek Online › Information and Discussion › Star Trek Online General Discussion while viewing this particular thread. You could also click the "Star Trek Online" part, and return to the start of the STO forums.
As I said, "in canon". It was never confirmed IN CANON, that the Romulans ever allied themselves with the Klingons, to obtain their D-7s. For all we know, the Romulans STOLE a D-7 from the Klingons. I watched that very episode just a few days ago. No mention at all about a possible alliance.
I'd like to thank you for all your hard work. Reskinning every single UI element can't be an easy task, and the new UI definitely looks more "LCARS:y". However, there are a few concerns which I hope will be addressed pre-launch: - BOff contacts on viewscreen. Your the Captain, aren't they sitting next to you on the bridge?…
Remains to be seen. Everything Cryptic has said to date (mostly by Mr Stahl) has been viewed with a certain amount of skepticism. You have yet to answer with a specific NUMBER of how many new storyline missions we can expect (both before and AFTER this ally decision). Until then, i'll be content with the assumption that…
Actually, I read it as the Romulans having their own unique storyline UP UNTIL the point where you choose to ally yourself with FED or KDF. If you choose FEDs, you end up running the same FED content we've had for the past 3 years.
