@deokkent I think you should try to limit your posts to 200 characters or less, otherwise the search will truncate them. So far I have not found a way to make the search return full posts.

I took the time to search the release note archives and I found what I was looking for: At one point in time, Cryptic decided that APA should not buff FBP. Then some patch stealth-reverted that change and now Cryptic doesn't even remember their decision from 2011.

The devs keep stressing the importance of "constructive feedback", but what actually is it that they consider constructive feedback? I asked this question back in 2012 when Gozer was supposed to take over PVP - and never got a reply.

I used to like ground pvp in the days before the Type 3 rifle. And while the Type 3 was already bad enough, it was S4 that totally killed ground pvp for me.

KDF works fine with the leaderboard because the combatlog is recording KDF actions correctly.

I think we have reached the point where improving PVP in STO is a lost cause. This does not mean that we have to give up on STO-style spaceship PVP, though. It only means that any future update to STO's way of PVP will have to happen outside of STO.

The new Redshirt patch replaces Rebirth with almost a 1-1 copy of the Holodeck build.

So sad. I was really looking forward to playing Rebirth all night, hoping that it might last a couple of days. EDIT: Redshirt entry is back, launcher is attempting to patch the 10GB again. Let's see what happens. EDIT2: The server is unavailable, but the game got patched back to DR. Dang.

Redshirt is back in the launcher, but currently my login process gets stuck at "Waiting for the account server response...". I want to get to level 6, roll a KDF toon and start queueing for PVP. I want to walk in the original Great Hall again.

I haven't had this much fun in STO in years as I had in the 30 minutes that I spent in Rebirth between finally completing patching and the server going down again. Cryptic, please make a true S1.2 shard a reality. I want to play again the STO that I love. RA5/BG5 forever!

Account server is working again, but the launcher only shows Holodeck and Tribble :( But since they have now proved that it is possible to put an old build on a server, maybe we should really push for a S1.2 shard. I'm willing to pay a fee for getting access to such a thing.

For the first time in years I couldn't wait to rush home, start up STO and level my character for some oldfashioned pewpew - but when I finally arrived, the game was down for maintenance and I fear that Rebirth (the best expansion ever and this player loves it)…
